Chapter 38 - their fright

The night had fallen, and the group had gathered around the campfire once again. Harrison, with a mischievous glint in his eye, began to spin a spooky tale about ghosts.

"You guys won't believe what happened to me last night," Harrison said, his voice low and mysterious. "I was walking back to my tent when I saw a figure out of the corner of my eye. It was tall and gaunt, with eyes that glowed like embers."

The idols leaned in, their eyes wide with fear. "What did you do?" Adriel asked, his voice trembling slightly.

Harrison leaned in closer, a sly smile spreading across his face. "I tried to run, but my feet felt heavy, like they were stuck to the ground. The figure started moving closer, its eyes fixed on me..."

The idols gasped, their imaginations running wild. Jace clutched Han's arm, his eyes darting nervously around the campsite. "Guys, I don't like this," he whispered.

Kai's face was pale, and Adriel's eyes were wide with fear. "Don't say another word, Harrison," Adriel begged, trying to laugh it off.

But Harrison was relentless, enjoying the idols' reactions. "And then, I heard a voice whispering in my ear... 'Get out while you still can.'"

The idols shuddered, their skin crawling with goosebumps. Suddenly, a branch snapped in the darkness, and they all jumped, their hearts racing.

"What's that?" Kai asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

The alpha boys burst out laughing, their faces lit up with amusement. "Gotcha!" they exclaimed, holding their stomachs in laughter.

The idols glared at them, relieved but also annoyed. "That's not funny, guys," Han said

Hours later

As the night wore on, Han turned to Lorenzo with a pleading expression. "Please, Lorenzo, can I sleep in your tent tonight? I'm scared," Han begged, his eyes wide with fear.

Lorenzo chuckled and shook his head. "Sorry, Han, but you should ask Taejoon instead. He's the one who's supposed to be looking out for you," Lorenzo said with a smirk.

Han quickly shake his head no

Don't worry,he won't eat you up unless you're his.. Lorenzo said teasing and go in his tent.

Before han could respond, his face already turned red

Meanwhile, Kai had latched onto Caleb's hand, his grip tight. "You have to let me sleep in your tent tonight, Caleb. I won't let go until you say yes," Kai said, his voice firm but his eyes shining with vulnerability.

Caleb laughed and tried to pry Kai's hand off, but Kai held tight. "Okay, okay, you can sleep in my tent," Caleb finally relented, chuckling.

Adriel, on the other hand, was trying to negotiate with adriel from alpha boys "Please, I'll give you an apple from my lunchbox, just let me sleep in your tent," Adriel pleaded, his eyes hopeful.

The Adriel laugh and ruffled Adriel's hair. "fine"

As for Jace, he had already taken refuge in Ace's tent, refusing to come out. "I'm not leaving, Ace. You can't make me," Jace said, his voice muffled by the tent fabric.

Ace just laughed and settled in beside Jace, shaking his head in amusement. "I'm not trying to make you leave, Jace. You're welcome to stay. Just don't hog the blankets."

Han hesitantly entered Taejoon's tent, his eyes scanning the dimly lit space. Taejoon was sitting on his bed, his back against the tent wall, and his eyes were fixed on Han as he entered.

Han's face turned slightly red as he realized he had caught Taejoon in a quiet moment. "Hey," Han said softly, trying to sound casual.

Taejoon looked up at Han, a hint of a smile on his face. "Hey. What's up?"

Han hesitated for a moment before moving closer to Taejoon. "I was just... um... scared outside, and I didn't want to sleep alone," Han said, trying to sound nonchalant.

Taejoon's expression softened, and he nodded for Han to come closer. "It's okay, you can sleep here," Taejoon said, his voice gentle.

Han felt a flutter in his chest, but he pushed the feeling aside and his face lit up with relief, and he quickly climbed onto the bed beside Taejoon.
