A minute later, Luffy put the bag full of treasure and food on his back. He held Nami on one arm and Coby on the other as he jumped.

"Let's go! Steer the ship away!"
As soon as he landed on his ship, he quickly went towards the main room while instructing them.
Nami immediately took the helm and spun it while Coby started unfolding the main mast.
Luffy was one person, so he didn't use this mast often. But it was this mast that could increase and decrease the speed of a ship.
Although Coby wasn't strong, he was good enough to unfold a big mast like this.
Bang! Splash!
At this moment, a few cannonballs struck the waters near the ship.

Luffy walked out of the main room and found them working quite well.

"Did we lose Marines?" He asked casually.
"Of course, we did. I am an excellent navigator. But I am curious. How do you have a ship like this in East Blue?"
Nami asked.
"I summoned it."
Luffy answered. In his mind, he had already declared Nami as his navigator, so telling her about his ability wasn't a big deal.
"Summon it? What does that mean?"
Of course, Nami understood the word summon itself. But she couldn't understand how he summoned a ship.
"I got a weird thing in his mind that tells me things to do, and every time I complete it, it rewards me. This ship is my reward."
Luffy explained.
"Wow! I never heard of something like that. Is it the power of a Devil Fruit?" Nami looked stunned when she heard that.
"It shouldn't be. Mr. Luffy previously used rubber powers. A person can't eat more than two devil fruits."
Coby spoke as he walked out.
"Yeah! It isn't a Devil Fruit. It has even given me a Devil Fruit. I asked my grandpa about these Devil Fruits, and he gave me their names."
Luffy said as he took out the Devil Fruit out of nowhere.
"Is this a Devil Fruit?"
Knowing that Luffy could pull out of a ship this massive, Nami wasn't surprised when he pulled out a fruit.
But she was still stunned by the existence of a Devil Fruit. For East Blue, this kind of thing was just a myth.
"Hey, why don't you two join my Crew? I can give these Devil Fruits." Luffy excitedly asked.
It was his third day as a pirate. He was quite bored because he couldn't find anyone on the ship.
His ideal Navigator had already joined the ship in his mind, but he also wanted this pink-haired guy.
After all, this was a boy that the system asked him to save. So, he must be someone special, right?
"Are you serious?"
Nami's eyes widened as she looked at the Devil Fruit. The first thought that came to her mind was Arlong.

On the other hand, Coby was moved. Having lived like a slave for two years on Alvida's ship, it was the first time he was given such a good invitation.
If he were just a normal boy without the dream of being in the Navy, he would've agreed immediately.
But now that he had escaped Alvida, he still wanted to join the Navy and become a Navy Soldier.
So, Coby politely declined.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Luff. I am very grateful that you saved me, but I want to become a marine sailor. I left my hometown to join the Marines."
Hearing that, Luffy curiously asked.
"Then, how did you get on that ship?"
Coby explained how he was just sailing in his small fishing boat until one day, he entered the ship by mistake and became one of Alivda's crew members.
Because he was extremely afraid of her, he couldn't leave the crew and stayed there for two years.
"Hahahah! You are quite a coward."
Luffy burst into laughter as he patted Coby's shoulder, who could feel pain after each slap.
Even Nami was quite amused, but she remembered her situation and realized just how similar she was to Coby.
She also didn't have the courage to fight back against Arlong. Even when Luffy showed her the Devil Fruit, she didn't get enough courage.
"I also don't want to join your crew. I hate pirates. I only like oranges and treasures."
Nami replied.
Hearing that, Luffy smirked and took out a heap of gold on the deck.
"Then, how about this?"
"Wow! How can you have so much money?"
Nami screamed with utter joy and disbelief when she saw so much gold on the deck.
But before she could try to get her hands on it, Luffy put it back in his inventory.
"No, no, don't take it away! Give it to me!"
Nami's love for money overwhelmed her emotions as she clutched onto Luffy's body and shouted.
"Then, join my crew!"
Luffy replied. He couldn't let go of such an excellent Navigator. Especially how she moved the ship around with even asking for any instructions from him.
This ship was by no means an easy ship to sail. It took him nearly a full day to understand just the basics of the ship.
Nami became a bit hesitant.
'Anyway, he doesn't look like a bad guy. And once I get enough treasure, I will just leave.'
"Alright! I'll join your crew."
Nami said with deception in her eyes.
Luffy didn't see it. His intelligence had grown, but not to the point where he could see through trickery and lies so easily.
But Coby could. He instantly knew what she was up to. Luffy was his benefactor, so he immediately stopped.
"Mr. Luffy, you shouldn't believe her so casually. She was a thief who tried to take Alvida's treasure. Once she gets her hand on your treasure, she will leave you immediately."
'Damn you, brat!'
Nami angrily growled towards Coby in the back of her mind.
But they were stunned when Luffy pulled out one of the Devil Fruits and said.
"This is Kumo-Kumo No Mi. It is a powerful Logia-type Devil Fruit that makes you pretty much invincible against those who can't use Haki."
"It also gives you cool cloud-related powers. But that's all Grandpa knows about this Fruit. So, you have to develop it on your own."
Hearing his words, Nami and Coby were stunned.
Coby hurriedly spoke.
"Mr. Luffy, didn't you hear what I said?"
"No, I heard it. But I believe her. She won't leave my crew."
Luffy said with a serious gaze and passed the Devil Fruit to her.
When Nami caught the Devil Fruit, her eyes were full of disbelief and confusion.
She couldn't believe she was getting the Devil Fruit out of nowhere. Even when Coby reminded him of her attitude and identity.
She held the Devil Fruit in her hand and asked.
"Wh…why are you so trusting?"
"Hehehe! I don't know. I just believe my guts."
Luffy burst into laughter and explained.
Hearing that answer, Nami snorted.
"Humph! Then, wait until I betray you."
Saying so, she took a huge bite out of the Devil Fruit.
Although she didn't know what Haki was, she was quite attracted by the word he used, 'Invincible'.
When she took that bite, she felt like she was eating something that had gone bad for months.
She almost couldn't stop herself from spitting out.
She forcefully swallowed that bite and shouted.
"Ewww! This is so disgusting. Is this why they are called Devil Fruits?"
"Yeah, they are quite disgusting. But nope! They are called Devil Fruits because once you eat them, you will be cursed by the Sea."
"You can't swim. You will also be weakened by sea stones, a special material made from the sea water."
Luffy explained. Then, he saw her taking the second bite and quickly explained.
"No, you don't need to eat it all. Just the first bite is enough to give you the powers."
Nami's hand immediately paused. They were just in front of her mouth. She felt incredibly happy that Luffy reminded her instead of watching her misery.
After all, she didn't know a single thing about the Devil Fruit.
"Na….Nami-san, your body!"
Coby stuttered as he pointed at her body, which seemed to become a cloud. There was nothing else to say about it.
"Whoa! This feels strange. I don't feel anything. Is this normal?" Nami tried to feel her cloud body, but strangely enough, didn't get any of that feeling.
Luffy nodded and said.
"Yeah! I am rubber, but I didn't feel anything until my body was stretched."
