Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 Superman's New Home

New York street

A reporter held a microphone, with the large screen in Times Square as the background, which was scrolling through Superman news.

"Ladies and gentlemen, global social media was completely ignited by Superman this morning! This mysterious hero launched an unprecedented rescue operation worldwide last night.

We were fortunate enough to interview several citizens who witnessed Superman firsthand."

The camera switched to a young mother holding a child, her eyes red-rimmed.

Daili's voice trembled: "He saved my daughter... We were trapped on the 23rd floor during the fire, and thick smoke had already poured in.

Suddenly, the glass shattered, and he was standing there, like a Shadow... He flew us down with one hand, and I could even feel the wind brush against my cheek, but his arm was as steady as steel."

Reporter: "What kind of person do you think Superman is?"

Daili said without hesitation: "A hero. Without him, Sofia and I would be dead."

The camera cut to a street in Tokyo, where an office worker in a suit and tie was gesturing excitedly.

Jiang Xiaobai: "When the truck rushed over, I thought it was over! Then with a bang, that man stopped the truck like a pillar nailed to the ground!

The driver was so scared he was paralyzed in his seat, and he just lightly patted the front of the truck, said to check the brakes next time, and left. My God, he was speaking Korean!"

....

In a Middle East refugee camp, an old man knelt down towards the camera, and the reporter hurriedly helped him up.

"The shells stopped in the sky... they stopped! He stood in mid-air, his black robe fluttering like an eagle's wings in the wind, and the barrels of those soldiers' guns were all twisted into knots! The children all call him almalak (Angel) now."

Under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a backpacker showed the reporter a video on his phone.

He shouted excitedly: "Look! This is what I filmed! He caught the backpack so fast even the camera was blurred!

I asked him his name, and he turned back and smiled, saying to call him Superman. This is definitely not some special effect, my phone is an old Nokia!"

Virginia

Senator Stern's Villa

Stern's silver dinner fork stabbed fiercely into the fried egg, the yolk splashing onto the high-definition photo on the front page of The Washington Post.

Xiao Han hovered over the fire scene, with the rescued citizens behind him.

Stern threw away the newspaper he had slammed down, picked up the phone on the table, and dialed: "Check for me immediately! Is this Superman the same person as the man in the black armor who was with Stark before!"

A trembling voice came from the other end of the phone: "Sir, S.H.I.E.L.D. has just blocked all information... but we compared the armor patterns and eyewitness descriptions, and the match is 99%.

Also, Stark Industries' stock price has surged by 200% due to rumors of alien technology cooperation."

Stern's face was gloomy, and he crushed the coffee cup: "Damn superpowered beings. The hearing is in one day, contact Hammer immediately, change of plan, start pressuring Tony Stark now!"

At this moment, Tony Stark's exclusive interview was being broadcast on Stern's television.

Tony shrugged at the reporter, a brilliant smile on his face: "Superman? Oh, he's my friend, nice guy, just always drinks all the red wine."

"Fuck!!" Stern threw the remote control at the TV.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Classified Meeting Room

Nick Fury's single eye stared at the satellite image of Xiao Han landing in Antarctica, while Coulson quickly reported from the side.

"Over 200 crises worldwide have been resolved, with no casualties, but videos filmed by the public have caused panic. The council requires us to immediately control the situation."

Fury sneered: "Control? You want a bunch of politicians to control a guy who can stop a truck with his bare hands?"

He threw out a stack of documents, "Let's take care of our own people first. Pierce just secretly met with Lan Qi, HYDRA is undermining us!"

Suddenly, the alarm blared, and the screen flashed red.

An Agent reported urgently: "Officer! Detecting abnormal energy fluctuations, Superman is approaching New York at a speed of Mach 60."

Fury grabbed his jacket and strode towards the door:

"Good, let the World see what truly uncontrollable factors are."

Stark Tower Rooftop

Xiao Han's figure landed on the terrace, the golden patterns on his suit shimmering in the sunset.

As soon as he stepped into the living room, he saw Tony sitting with his legs crossed, swirling a glass of red wine in his hand, with global news reports about Superman playing on the holographic screen.

"Having fun, Mr. Savior?" Tony raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile on his lips.

"Saved 42 countries in one night, and even helped the Antarctic research station fix their generator. Jarvis said they've now printed you on the penguin protection association's badge."

Xiao Han removed his armor, casually picked up the Water glass on the coffee table, and drank it all: "Penguins?"

He scoffed, "How about sending a box to Senator Stern? He probably needs something cute to lower his blood pressure."

Tony laughed, throwing him a key: "Bought you a Villa, on the north shore of Long Island. Three floors, private beach, the Underground Room is lead-lined as you requested, although I don't understand why you need to block X-rays."

He winked. "You're not hiding Kryptonite, are you?"

"To guard against certain one-eyed people who like to peek." Xiao Han took the key, his fingertips tracing the S engraved on the keychain.

"But... thanks."

Tony swirled his wine glass, then suddenly became serious: "Stern contacted Hammer Industries today, they're getting ready to make their move."

He scoffed, "What are these people thinking? Do they really want to control Superman?"

A golden light flashed in Xiao Han's eyes: "Let him try."

He walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window, the lights of New York flowing beneath his feet, "I'll be there on time tomorrow, dressed formally."

Tony raised his glass in salute: "Need me to prepare some special effects? Like you crashing through the parliament rooftop from the sky?"

"No need." Xiao Han looked back, a dangerous curve to his lips.

"They will soon understand..." He pushed open the glass door, and the night wind lifted the hem of his clothes.

"So-called regulation is just humanity's wishful thinking about gods."

Before his words finished, he had already transformed into a black meteor streaking towards the night sky.

Long Island North Shore Villa

Waves gently lapped against the private dock, moonlight spilled onto the pure White modern building, reflecting its clean lines.

Xiao Han landed in the center of the courtyard, his black armor slightly flowing in the night wind. The inductive light strips beneath his feet lit up one by one with his steps, outlining the path to the Villa.

Pushing open the heavy walnut door, the smart home System silently activated, soft light flowed from the hidden light troughs, illuminating the six-meter high living room.

Outside the entire floor-to-ceiling window, the night view of the Atlantic Ocean was completely visible, waves breaking into silver fragments under the moonlight.

"Welcome home, sir." The AI butler's voice sounded gently, the temperature automatically adjusted to the most comfortable 22 degrees Celsius, and the electronic Fire in the fireplace flickered with orange-red light.

Xiao Han pressed the S on his chest, and the armor automatically retracted, forming a multi-functional watch on his left wrist.

Revealing the black combat work clothes underneath, his boots stepping on the gray-veined marble floor.

On the island counter in the open kitchen sat a bottle of red wine that had just been decanted, next to it was a note left by Tony.

[82 Lafite, more suitable for a night view than your cold breath. TS]

He chuckled softly, picked up a wine glass, and walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window.

The Villa adopted a minimalist design, with black, White, and gray tones accented by dark gold metal trims, low-key yet luxurious.

A suspended staircase on one side of the living room led to the second floor, the glass railing making the space appear more transparent.

The master bedroom on the second floor continued the same style, the King Size bed facing the floor-to-ceiling window, the electric curtains slowly opening to reveal the endless sea view.

Custom-made suits prepared by Tony hung in the walk-in closet, each one ironed without a single wrinkle.

Underground

The elevator door slid open silently, revealing a private training ground comparable to a Stark Industries laboratory.

Alloy-built shooting ranges, simulated gravity chambers, and holographic combat Systems were all available. There was even a miniature Sun lamp array in the corner, clearly specially designed by Tony based on his energy needs.

Xiao Han walked to the glass curtain wall at the edge of the training ground and pressed a hidden button.

The curtain wall slowly descended, revealing an infinity pool extending into the sea, the pool bottom paved with a special material that changed color with body temperature, emitting a faint blue glow under the moonlight.

He took off his top and leaped into the Water, the current flowing over his well-defined physique.

As he turned at the end of the pool, the smart lighting of the entire Villa just happened to switch to star night mode, the ceiling projecting a realistic Milky Way, blending with the real sea, sky, and stars in the distance.

"Not bad."

Xiao Han leaned against the edge of the pool, his fingertips tapping the rim of the glass.

The rich aroma of the red wine intertwined with the sea breeze, and the smart System played a low piano piece at the right moment.

At this moment, he, as Superman, finally had a home worthy of him.
