Detective Jameson sat at his desk, pouring over the evidence collected so far. He was determined to find Emily and bring her home safely. As he reviewed the case files, he noticed a discrepancy in Ryan's alibi. According to Ryan, he was at home studying at the time of Emily's disappearance. But Jameson had found a security camera near Ryan's apartment that showed him leaving his building around 9 PM.
Jameson's eyes narrowed. Why had Ryan lied about his alibi? He made a note to confront Ryan about the discrepancy.
Just then, Jameson's partner, Rodriguez, walked in with a cup of coffee. "Hey, Jim. I've been going through Emily's phone records. There's something weird going on."
Jameson raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"There are a bunch of calls and texts to a number that's been blocked," Rodriguez said. "I think Emily might have been trying to hide something."
Jameson's interest piqued. "Let's see if we can unblock the number and track down who it belongs to."
Rodriguez nodded and started working on unblocking the number. After a few minutes, they finally got a match. The number belonged to a local business, but Jameson's gut told him that there was more to it than that.
"I think we need to pay a visit to this business," Jameson said. "Let's see if they can tell us anything about Emily's disappearance."
Rodriguez nodded, and they headed out to investigate.
