Emily stirred awake as her alarm tore through the silence of the bedroom. Her hand rubbed her eyes softly.
For some days now, her existence had been a terrible one…more like a rollercoaster.
Waking up from the Sterling estate after an exhausting night, she was plunged into the a new office right beside Lucian…as though that wasn't enough she had been forced to meet with Lucian's mother.
And more ridiculous…she was asked to leave Lucian.
Who was Lucian?
As though she hasn't tried to leave when things were less complicating and what did he do?
He refused.
Emily sighed. She wasn't sure if her life was heading in the right direction or otherwise.
"You're awake?" Lucian asked, dropping his phone on the glass centre table.
Emily glanced at the side, her gaze trailed over him as he stood up from the couch and walked over to the bed settling beside her.
"How are you feeling now?" He asked his hand, smoothening her hair which was scattered on the pillow.
