He stayed awake watching me for what felt like
hours before, dozing off too. He holds me
tightly against his chest as if trying to swallow
my small frame with his body. His arms
wrapped around my waist tightly. Afraid
something will happen if he lets go. He kisses
the back of my neck softly. Whispering, mine as
He slept.
He sleeps off.
The next day, I woke up to a strange yet
familiar warmth. He wakes up too.
I tried raising his arms off me with my small
hands.
He pulls me closer again. Whispering.
"Where do you think you're going, butterfly."
I trembled, burying my face in my hands.
"I wanted to check on Tatiana."
He kissed my neck softly.
"You're not to leave until I tell you to."
I nodded, still trembling and worried.
He turns me around to face him, laying on my
back.
I looked at him. The morning sun, reflecting my
green eyes.
He looked at my eyes before losing control and
crashing his lips against mine.
He raised the covers above our heads. His
hands splayed on my stomach. He squeezed
the soft flesh, pulling me closer. One leg on top
of mine. We were cocooned by the warmth of
the blanket. His hand moves up to squeeze my
big mounds slowly.
I pulled back to speak with a ragged breath.
"P-pease stop."
I struggled to catch my breath but he kissed me
again, not allowing me to breathe."
He pulls back to whisper.
"Then you wouldn't have let me lose control… I
wish I could fuck you raw right now. Kiss. Break
you.
Kiss.Make you unable to walk. Kiss. Ruin that
tiny hole."
His breathing is ragged as he kisses me
between words…
"I can't breathe."
He opens the blanket. The sun, shining on my
pale skin and his. He pulls me by my thigh. My
legs are at either side of him now.
He smirks. Fangs extend. Leans down to bite
my neck. I closed my eyes before his butler
interrupted with a knock.
"The doctor is here sir."
Aristarkh groans softly before pulling back his
fangs and standing up. While he was putting
his shirt on.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
I stood up and rushed out of his room.
He stepped back before chuckling and
following the butler out.
I rushed to Tatiana, who was seated on her
bed. Awake.
My eyes brightened. I hugged her immediately.
"Tatiana! I was so worried. Are you okay? Are
you really okay?"
She chuckles then speaks.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. Thank you. I heard you were
really worried."
I pulled back from the hug.
"Yes! I was. I was really worried. Did the doctor
tell you what happened?"
"No he didn't."
For some reasons. I felt like she was lying but
brushed it off as nothing.
"I'm glad you're okay."
She looked out the door as I was speaking.
Seeing Aristarkh walking with the doctor.
"What are you looking at?"
I asked softly.
She smiled, turning her face to look at me.
"Nothing. I'm just happy I'm back. I thought I'd
actually die."
Aristarkh looked at the doctor.
"What happened to her?"
The doctor speaks sternly.
"It was truly as you said. The snakes. But there
was something more. The snakes are invincible
and are mixed with wolf genes."
Aristarkh stopped in his tracks.
"So you mean that means that the scratch on
her neck was both a snake bite and a wolf
scratch."
The doctor nods slowly.
"Yes. And not just that. They're invisible so that
means they can be everywhere at any time.
Even right now. Someone might be here."
Aristarkh's jaw clenched.
" there's a barrier…. We have to work fast in
everything we're doing."
They start walking again.
I went to my room, feeling something. I don't
know if it's a feeling but I know something
about me. Aristarkh had me smiling softly.
"I showered, brushed and dressed."
I was going to see my sister. Somehow
Tatiana's sickness made me worried about her.
I took a taxi to the hospital. Both vanilla ice
cream on the way, her favorite.
"Anya!" I said, entering her room.
She turned immediately. Smiling. She ran and
hugged me.
"Hey. You look so good. I'm proud of you.
They're treating you right?
She hugs me tightly.
"I miss you. Yes they are."
Her eyes scan the leather. She pulls back.
"Ice cream. Yay!"
She jumps softly.
I gave it to her. Here. Sit on the couch and eat
slowly.
She smiles, immediately rushing to hold the
leather.
"I made a friend. Adrian, a boy and Azriel."
They're always fighting over me.
She chuckles softly.
I chuckled back.
"That's sweet. Just be careful."
She's not good with friends and most of them
mostly say bad words to her because of her
health.
"This one's good and they're sick too.
Adrian has an injured leg and Azriel has
leukemia."
I nodded, stroking her hair.
Take your ice cream.
What do you want to watch?
She shouts.
"Frozen!"
We've watched that many times.
I chuckled looking at her pouty little face.
"Fine. Frozen it is."
I connected to the TV and played it for her.
We sat down together, watching it as she took
her ice cream.
My phone rings, it was Ivanov Vasilev, My
childhood friend.
I stood up. Excusing myself from the movies.
I picked the call.
"Hello, Ivanov. You called."
He chuckles.
"Missed me? I travelled for business but I'm
back now. Where are you?"
"Yes I missed you. How was your business
trip? I'm with my sister in the hospital."
He smiles over the phone.
"Dejavu. We met there. The first time…. Should
I come over? Greet her?"
There was a pause before I replied.
"Yes. You can come. It's been a long time since
she saw you. I don't even know if she'd
remember you."
He smiles. I heard the sounds of him grabbing
his car keys.
"I'm on my way now."
I cut the call and sat down beside my sister,
watching the frozen animation with her.
There was a doorbell on the door after some
minutes but it wasn't Ivanov. It was Aristarkh
Mikhailov.
