Chapter 1 - Chapter I - " Just The Beginning "

Coming from a humble background, Zǐ Chén knew the value of hard work and determination. To make ends meet, he applied for various jobs, and after a string of interviews, he landed a position as a cashier at a popular Restobar. It was a new chapter in his life, one that required him to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn to navigate the complexities of customer service.

Zǐ Chén was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He had a quiet strength and a compassionate nature that drew people to him. As a new cashier, he was still finding his footing, but his warm smile and kind eyes put even the most demanding customers at ease.

Despite his soft-spoken demeanor, Zǐ Chén had a depth to him that was hard to ignore. He was a listener, always willing to lend an ear and offer a sympathetic word. His empathy and understanding made him a beloved fixture among the regulars, and he had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard.

As Zǐ Chén trained as a new cashier, Regular Customer walked into the Restobar, his eyes scanning the room with a detached air. He nodded curtly at Manager Lián, who greeted him warmly.

"Your usual table, Mr. Xián?" Lián asked, accustomed to Xián Quán's reserved demeanor.

"Just the whiskey. Don't bother sending anyone over."

" Ok Sir, As You Wish " - Mr. Lian

Mr. Lián called Zǐ Chén over, his voice low and instructive.

"Zi, can you prepare a whiskey for Mr. Xián? Just leave it at his table and don't disturb him, okay?"

Zǐ Chén nodded obediently. "Okay, sir."

He carried out the task, expertly balancing the drink on his tray as he approached Mr. Xián's table. After setting the glass down, he returned to the front desk to attend to other customers. As he worked, his gaze kept drifting back to Mr. Xián.

His coworker's eyes sparkled with amusement as they leaned in to whisper,

"Is he hot?" Zǐ Chén's cheeks flushed as he protested,

"A-ahm, no! Why would you ask me that? I'm a guy, you know."

His coworker chuckled, their smile growing wider.

"Just asking, and you're getting all flustered. Maybe a certain someone's got a crush?"

Stop It, It's Not Possible. - Zǐ Chén

Okayyy-Okay Zǐ Chén's Co Worker Response while still maintaining wide smile.

*****

A new customer walked into the restobar and approached the counter.

Zǐ Chén: Good Evening Sir, ( said while smiling at the Customer)

Hi, I'd like to order a glass of Baijiu, please,"

the customer said. Baijiu is a popular Chinese liquor made from grains like sorghum, rice, or wheat, known for its strong flavor and high alcohol content.(the customers sat down at their table.)

Zǐ Chén nodded and efficiently prepared the drink, After a While As Zǐ Chén handed the glass over, he double-checked the order to ensure everything was perfect.

when Zi is on way to customers table he lost his footing slightly while carrying the drink of the customer. The cup of Baijiu tipped over, spilling its contents all over Mr. Xián's suit.

As Zǐ Chén spilled the drink on Mr. Xián's suit, his coworkers' eyes widened in horror. They rushed over to see if Zǐ Chén was okay, their faces pale look like seeing a ghost.

"He's dead," one of them whispered, eyes fixed on Mr. Xián's potential reaction.

"Mr. Xián is going to kill him."

After That also Zǐ Chén's eyes widened in horror as he apologized profusely, grabbing a stack of napkins to help clean up the mess. Mr. Xián's expression remained calm, but a hint of surprise flickered in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Xián! I'll get you a towel right away," Zǐ Chén said, rushing to fetch some paper towels.

As he returned to dab at the stain, their hands touched briefly, and Zǐ Chén felt a spark of electricity. Mr. Xián's gaze met his, and for a moment, they just looked at each other.

- Zi's Coworkers surprised, Mr. Xián remained calm, his expression unreadable. He didn't even raise his voice, instead, he looked at Zǐ Chén with a hint of curiosity.

Zǐ Chén's coworkers exchanged disbelieving glances.

"How is he not yelling?" one of them mouthed.

As Zǐ Chén continued to apologize and clean up the spill, Mr. Xián suddenly reached out and gently grasped Zǐ Chén's hand. Zǐ Chén's heart skipped a beat as Mr. Xián's warm fingers wrapped around his.

"It's okay," Mr. Xián said softly, his voice low and soothing.

"I'm just going to go change in the bathroom. It's not a big deal."

Zǐ Chén's eyes met Mr. Xián's, and for a moment, they just looked at each other. Zǐ Chén felt a jolt of electricity run through his body as Mr. Xián's gaze seemed to hold a hint of kindness and understanding.

"Okay...I'm sorry again," Zǐ Chén stammered, his face flushing with embarrassment.

Mr. Xián smiled slightly and released Zǐ Chén's hand.

As Mr. Xián headed to the bathroom, Zǐ Chén's coworkers stared at him in amazement.

"Wow, Mr. Xián is actually being nice to you," one of them whispered.

Zǐ Chén's face turned even redder as he tried to process what had just happened. Had Mr. Xián really just held his hand and forgiven him so easily?

- Just as Zǐ Chén was replaying the moment when Mr. Xián held his hand, a loud voice snapped him back to reality.

"Hey, where's my drink? I ordered a glass of Baijiu 10 minutes ago!" a customer shouted, slamming his fist on the counter.

Zǐ Chén's eyes widened as he rushed to apologize. "I'm so sorry, sir! I got distracted and forgot about your order. I'll get it for you right away."

The customer glared at Zǐ Chén, his face red with anger.

"You're incompetent! How hard is it to serve a simple drink?"

Zǐ Chén's coworkers rushed to intervene, trying to calm the situation.

"Sir, please accept our apologies. We'll get your drink right out."

- After Zǐ Chén's coworkers handed the customer his drink, his anger seemed to intensify, and with a malicious glint in his eye, he deliberately raised the glass, aiming to dump the contents all over Zǐ Chén.

- But just as the situation was about to escalate, Mr. Xián swiftly intervened, his firm grip wrapping around the customer's wrist. With a smooth motion, he took control of the glass and set it down on the table with a resolute clink.

" nǐ zài gàn shén me ya. " - Mr. Xián said, his voice low and authoritative, his gaze piercing the customer's angry facade.

(nǐ zài gàn shén me ya = What Are You Doing? )

‎The customer's face turned beet red with rage as Mr. Xián took control of the situation.

"What the...?!" the customer snarled, his eyes blazing with fury. He clenched his fist and swung it at Mr. Xián, but the latter was quicker.

‎With a swift and precise motion, Mr. Xián landed a solid punch right on the customer's jaw. The customer's eyes widened in shock as he stumbled backward, clutching his face in pain.

‎Mr. Xián stood tall, his chest heaving slightly with exertion. His eyes flashed with a fierce intensity, and his jawline seemed chiseled from granite. He looked more imposing than ever, exuding an aura of confidence and authority.

‎The restobar fell silent, with all eyes fixed on the scene unfolding before them. Zǐ Chén's coworkers gasped in shock, while Zǐ Chén himself stared at Mr. Xián in awe.
