★Nuel's POV★
I couldn't breathe.
The weight pressing down on me was unbearable,my bones were creaking, my lungs screaming for air as the massive wolf above me growled low in its throat. Its hot breath fanned across my face, reeking of blood and death. My hands trembled uselessly at my sides, trapped beneath its weight. Every instinct in me screamed to run and fight but I was an omega. Weak. Defenseless. I didn't even have a wolf to call upon. Couldn't even shift to Nolan.
My vision blurred. The world tilted and i thought that was it, the end. Of my pathetic life. Of my unwanted life.
Then, just as suddenly, the pressure eased. The beast lifted off me, staggering backward with a sharp whimper. I gasped and rolled to the side, coughing, my chest heaving as I sucked in desperate gulps of air. For a second, I couldn't comprehend what had happened.
It wasn't until I felt the warmth seeping onto my skin that I looked down.
Blood.
