I smiled but didn't take his bait, picking up my drink and taking a sip. I thought to myself, That beauty is as good as mine. You've probably never seen how wild she gets when she's jerking me off. A sense of sweet revenge and accomplishment filled my heart.
Yao Liang continued, "Sometimes, when it comes to women, chasing them for a long time isn't the most effective way. Especially a mature woman her age. They're mentally mature, they know what they want. If she were really interested in me, a few interactions would be enough for her to agree to a date. A few dates, and we'd basically be in bed. The fact that she's been ignoring me means there's definitely a problem. I'm not that clueless, haha."
Hearing him say that, I couldn't help but think of my own mom and fell into a silent reverie. Wasn't my own pursuit and admiration for my mom exactly what he was describing?
I was the one who didn't understand what a woman of my mom's age wanted. I was still too immature.
Yao Liang took another sip of his drink, opened a bag of snacks, and offered me some. Eating leisurely, he said, "Alright, alright, let's drop this random topic. What's up with you lately? What did you need my help with?"
Only then did I remember why I came here. Looking at his handsome face and thinking of my own complicated thoughts, I felt so weighed down. The words were on the tip of my tongue, but I didn't know if I should say them.
Yao Liang didn't rush me, he just kept watching me, waiting for me to speak. After a long moment, I finally opened my mouth. "Ah Liang, when I tell you this, you'll probably think it's absurd, and laughable."
Yao Liang didn't laugh. He just said calmly, "It's fine, Xiao Bin. I've done my share of ridiculous things. I'm used to it."
Looking into his deep, bright eyes, I finally spoke. "I need you to help me with something."
"What is it? We've been brothers for so many years. As long as it's within my power, just say it," he said.
"I want you to help me pursue my mom, Gu Wanxin." I said it word by word, incredibly clearly and coherently, so much so that I couldn't believe it myself.
"Wh-what!?"
He immediately dropped the food in his hand onto the floor, and the beer in his mouth almost sprayed out. He quickly put everything on the table, leaned forward in astonishment, and said to me, "Did I hear that right? What did you say!?"
"You heard me right. I want you to help me pursue my mom, Gu Wanxin." I repeated, my eyes serious as I looked at him.
He stared at me, dumbfounded. Seeing I wasn't joking, his expression grew slightly strange, the corners of his mouth twitching.
I then told him about my mom's current relationship with her boyfriend, Jiang Weixin, and also about my failed confession to her and all my other absurd thoughts. I told it all to my best friend, wondering how he would react.
After I finished, it felt as if a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I picked up his unfinished beer from the table and downed it all in one go. The slightly bitter, cold, fizzy liquid rushed down my throat, making me cough uncontrollably, but it also felt incredibly satisfying.
"Xiao Bin, you're saying your mom didn't fly into a rage when you told her you wanted to pursue her? If you and your mom aren't crazy, then you two must be the most open-minded mother and son in the world."
Yao Liang said this after a long period of thought.
He then looked at me and added, "So why are you telling me all this? You know I've always had a thing for Auntie Gu. Now, I don't really have a chance. She has a boyfriend, and her son is committing the ultimate taboo by chasing after her, and that son wants me to help him? Are you here to make fun of me?"
A hint of anger appeared on his face.
I sighed and said, "Of course not. I'm not that bored. There's a reason for this, actually."
"What reason?" he asked, a bit surprised.
"That man, Jiang Weixin, you know him, the boss of the Jiang Group. I want you to use your family's connections to help me find vulnerabilities in his company, see if he's operating illegally. In short, anything that can bring him down."
I said it word by word.
"Vulnerabilities? What's wrong with his company?" Yao Liang asked, his face full of surprise.
"Nothing's wrong, but my gut tells me he's not a good person. I suspect he's involved in some illegal business, and he might even be using my mom's company. In short, their relationship isn't just about romantic feelings."
I said.
Yao Liang fell into thought. I continued, "With the power of your dad's company, you should be able to find something, right?"
Yao Liang looked at me and said, "This…"
"Let me be straight with you. I suspect he's deceiving my mom. That bastard is dating her all the time now, and she often doesn't come home at night. You'd probably believe me if I told you they're about to get married."
I said, struggling to stay calm.
"Wh-what!?" He almost spat out his beer again. "Did I hear that right? What did you say!?"
I sighed, took a sip of beer, and said, "I've explained it all clearly. Not a single word is a lie. This is the situation. I don't trust that old dog at all. I'm sure there's something wrong with him. I don't understand the specifics of his business, but I feel that besides my mom's beauty, he must have some business scheme in mind by getting close to her. But I have no proof. You like my mom too, right? You can't just stand by and watch something happen to her. So tell me, will you help me or not?"
He stared at me, dumbfounded, as I finished. He thought for a long while and then said, "So, you have a feeling he's up to something, but you want me to get the evidence to expose that bastard, so your mom can see his true colors and stop her from being with him. Is that it?"
"Yeah," I answered.
Yao Liang leaned back into the soft sofa, stayed silent for a moment, and then said to me, "With my family's influence, finding that upstart's weak points isn't that hard, but…"
"But what?" I asked.
Yao Liang sat up, leaned forward, and said to me solemnly, "If I investigate his company, there will inevitably be risks. The old man has never been too fond of me, and I'll have to secretly ask his subordinates for help. There are a lot of difficulties to smooth over. And you know I never change my ways... I have a condition, Xiao Bin. Let's call it a deal."
I looked at his expression, but I was already prepared for this. "What deal? Go on."
Yao Liang opened another can of beer, a strange smile on his face as he looked at me. "You probably know what I've always wanted to do. Since you want my help to deal with that old bastard, then I want to pursue Auntie Gu myself. Your mom already agreed last time, and even though I didn't actually act on it, this time you can't stop me."
I knew what this lecher was thinking all along, and a wave of displeasure still washed over me. Yao Liang saw my expression and knew what I was thinking. "I know you're not happy about this, but I've liked your mom for a long time, and you know it. Now that this opportunity has presented itself, how could I possibly let it go? We'll be starting on fair footing, and I'm even letting you go first, plus I'm helping you. You should give me a chance, right?"
I looked at his handsome face and forced myself to say, "As long as you help me take care of Jiang Weixin, that's fine."
Yao Liang jumped up. He came to my side, threw his arm around my neck, and pressed his face right next to mine. "You promised me this. You can't go back on your word!"
My face was calm. Although this was a desperate measure, it was better than having my mom entangled with a scumbag like Jiang Weixin. So I said flatly, "Of course I won't regret it. But you have to keep your promise too, and it depends on your own performance. My mom isn't an easy woman to pursue. Don't forget, I'm pursuing her too, and I got a head start on you."
"Haha, that's not necessarily true. It depends on who's doing the pursuing, right? I'm quite experienced when it comes to mature women, you know." Yao Liang looked at me with a sly, slightly lewd glint in his eyes.
"Hmph."
I snorted, but my eyes inadvertently fell on the bulge forming in the crotch of his jeans. I remembered accidentally seeing him in a wild, carnal battle with a woman when I was here with my mom before. It was just a fleeting glance, but it had shocked me immensely. The guy's dick looked terrifyingly big. It must have been nearly twenty-something centimeters. He was far more endowed than me, and I was incredibly jealous of this one thing I could never match.
Seeing my expression darken, he sniffed sharply and said, "Don't worry! Xiao Bin, we're good brothers, after all. Your mom is so beautiful. Fuck, no matter what you're thinking, what right does that idiot Jiang Weixin have to be Auntie Gu's boyfriend? Is he even worthy!?"
I slammed my hand on the table and shouted, "Exactly! Fuck! That stupid middle-aged old dog, I've hated his guts for a long time. I really don't know what my mom sees in him. Damn it, he's definitely no good!"
We were like two comrades who had found a kindred spirit. Yao Liang nodded. He released me, and took out two new cans of beer. "Here, finish this drink. Tell me the details, and let's plan this out properly!"
Yao Liang said with a smile. We each opened a can, clinked them, and started drinking heavily.
We discussed the details carefully. It was mostly him talking. He raised many issues about business operations and offered some analysis of Jiang Weixin's company. I didn't understand any of it, so I just listened blankly, nodding along and cheering him on.
"Alright, I've got the general idea. Starting tomorrow, I'll go to the old man's company. They have a lot of data there. I'll hire a few experts to look into it carefully and see if we can find any business loopholes in that old dog's operations."
Yao Liang said.
"Yeah, I'm counting on you," I said.
"Good brother! Come on, let's have a few more. You're staying at my place tonight. We can team up for some online gaming later, haha!"
Yao Liang said happily, hugging me. Seeing him look as happy as a little kid, I really didn't know what to do with him.
Late at night, after drinking a lot of beer, I was fast asleep in the guest room of Yao Liang's apartment. In the living room, however, Yao Liang was wide awake. He was sitting on the sofa, his laptop open, scrolling through his WeChat chat history.
"That was close. He only saw the chats with that woman. The ones with his mom got pushed down and he didn't scroll to find them." Yao Liang muttered to himself as he scrolled through WeChat.
"So that's why that slut kept asking me to check this and that. Turns out she really has a lover on the side, and things are getting hot and heavy. Fuck, that stupid old dog is really living it up. Damn! Just watch me ruin him!"
Yao Liang's face contorted with anger as he thought about it.
"It's perfect that Xiao Bin came to me with this. Now I have my chance." Thinking this, he leaned back comfortably on the sofa, holding his wine glass, already slightly drunk.
"A little kid like him, who doesn't even know the full situation, wants to pursue his own mom, haha. I'm honestly dying of laughter." Yao Liang took a sip of beer, glanced at the bedroom door, and said with a chuckle.
"But then again, you can't rush a woman like that. It's best to wait for the right opportunity. I refuse to believe she could genuinely be attracted to a piece of trash like Jiang Weixin…" Yao Liang continued muttering to himself.
He stood up, beer glass in hand, and walked to the bedroom door. He looked at his best friend, passed out drunk on the bed, and suddenly downed the rest of his beer in one go. A handsome, lecherous smile spread across his face.
"Xiao Bin, you really can't blame me. You brought this on yourself. Blame your slutty mom for being too damn sexy and alluring. Even if I get struck by lightning or hit by a car, I absolutely have to fuck your sexy, slutty mom."
