Chapter 94 - One Piece: Legend Begins-Chapter 94: Katakuri: Should I Call Aus Dad?

Yes.

For this potentially existing child whose potential might surpass even Rocks, even a colossal entity like the World Government couldn't help but feel greedy.

Even though right now, the kid wasn't even a damn embryo.

But this idea was ballsy as hell. If Aus found out...

He'd definitely call up those highest authorities personally and demand to know what the fuck this order meant.

And it wasn't just the World Government and Marines.

"Wororororo... That old hag and Aus? What a hilarious combo!!! hic..."

At Onigashima headquarters,

Kaido—still relatively normal-sized at this point, not yet having bulked into his future nightmare physique—was drinking while listening to his subordinates' reports.

"How can we miss out on this kind of fun? Perfect chance to throw down with that bastard Aus. What was his title again...

Something about King of what generation?"

"Without my say-so, what kind of king does that asshole think he can become?!!!"

King stood nearby with arms crossed, covered in leather armor, looking calm as he offered the first bit of advice:

"Kaido-san, if Big Mom and Aus really team up, charging in like that might mean facing both of them at once."

"Wororororo..."

Hearing this, Kaido showed zero restraint. Instead, his eyes blazed with more madness and bloodlust:

"If they can pull it off, let them try! See if they can actually kill me!!!"

His wild roar echoed without restraint. Ignoring his crew's protests, a blue dragon slowly ascended into the clouds, vanishing above Onigashima's waters.

...

Meanwhile,

If the sea's power players and major forces like the World Government were taking a wait-and-see approach to Aus and Charlotte Linlin's meeting,

the New World's underground bosses felt like they'd been stabbed in the back.

What kind of bullshit was this?!

They'd just prepared to rely on the former Rocks Pirates captain—one of the sea's overlords, Big Mom—to resist pressure from "Black Emperor" Aus.

Then boom—suddenly the two were becoming family, leaving them out in the cold.

"Hey!!! Katakuri! We're strategic partners with the Big Mom Pirates!!!"

"That's right! A huge chunk of your funding, intel, and equipment comes from us!!!"

These shadow merchants roared at the figure before them, gripping firearms with murder in their eyes.

But they were facing a New World monster—

The number two of an overlord-level pirate crew:

Charlotte Katakuri.

"Mama's orders."

Without wasting breath on these clowns, Katakuri's eyes flashed crimson as he walked straight into their gunfire without dodging.

Not a Logia, but bullets did jack shit to him.

One shot each. Wielding his Mogura trident, Katakuri started a bloodbath among these merchants.

Even hired muscle with hundred-million bounties were one-shot deals for him.

Only after dropping everyone did Katakuri drag their bodies back to report to Mama.

Standing five meters tall with that ice-cold presence and killer looks,

Katakuri was hailed as the perfect man—definitely scoring major points in the appearance department.

Outside Cake Castle, countless locals watched Katakuri holding his spear, dragging a long chain of unconscious bastards toward the castle.

"Truly my most outstanding child, Katakuri."

Seeing his brutal efficiency, Big Mom happily ordered the Homies to haul away these idiots who tried to mess with her and Aus.

Maybe Big Mom's joy was too obvious, or maybe people naturally gifted with Observation Haki had especially sharp instincts.

Though their contact was limited, based on what he knew about Aus, the guy really didn't seem like someone who'd agree to knock up Big Mom.

After thinking it over, Katakuri cautiously spoke up:

"Mama, I'd like to know—how exactly did Aus respond to you?"

Hearing this, Big Mom's joyful expression shifted, eyes locking onto Katakuri with clear irritation.

"Katakuri, you..."

"Should be calling him Papa, shouldn't you?"

"???"

Hearing this, Katakuri's brain completely short-circuited.

I... this... what???

If he remembered right, that guy was nearly ten years younger than him!

Katakuri's face went rigid, eyelids twitching like crazy.

But in Big Mom's worldview, age gaps could be completely erased by raw power,

especially for someone like Aus, whose strength and talent were even more monstrous than hers.

At least in Charlotte Linlin's mind, at seventeen, she definitely couldn't have taken Aus in a fight.

Forget beating him—getting conquered in return like what happened with Rocks was way more likely.

So,

if Aus was willing to ally with her, he could totally earn the Papa title through their shared baby-making venture.

A similar nickname would be...

BIG DAD?

Big Papa?

Katakuri went dead silent.

Luckily, Big Mom wasn't completely serious. Knowing her second son meant well for the crew, she didn't hide anything:

"That Aus bastard was actually staring at me like an idiot when we met years ago."

"Ma ma ma ma~"

Charlotte Linlin reminisced:

"I only found out later that this brat Aus grew up reading news about me since he was a kid.

We're cut from the same cloth, so..."

"Aus has actually looked up to me since he was little!"

"That's why he hung up and rushed over immediately—couldn't wait to see me! Ma ma ma ma~"

As a fallen white moonlight, Big Mom obviously had no clue just how picky Aus was about looks and cleanliness, still thinking he was that same starry-eyed kid from back then.

Hearing this, Katakuri bowed his head in thought.

He hadn't known Aus had that kind of history.

"If that's how it is, then I'm not worried."

Since there was already emotional groundwork, Katakuri couldn't really object anymore.

If it was for the Big Mom Pirates' expansion and the birth of that future monster-among-monsters little brother, then he—Katakuri—as the perfect son and perfect big brother,

what did it matter if he called Aus Papa?

After all, the guy's strength was genuinely terrifying. As a real man, Katakuri could respect someone like that.

Right now, Aus—completely unaware he'd been randomly assigned marriage and fatherhood—was steering his ship over the Red Line.

Not flying directly over Mary Geoise was already showing plenty of respect to the World Government and that Lord Imu.

He had no idea those five scheming old bastards had already set their sights on his nonexistent kid...
