'Rather than waiting to be cornered like prey… it's better to become the hunter,' Lana thought coldly.
Jenny stared at Lana as if she were seeing her for the first time. That way of thinking felt completely alien to her.
"What if the servants finds out?" Jenny finally spoke, her voice hesitant.
"If they reports it, then when the authorities come… it will become impossible to hide anything. Not to mention…"
Her brows knit together as she looked at Lana in disbelief.
"You're from Shadowridge University. How can you talk about death so calmly?"
Hearing those words, Lana chuckled softly. The sound was light, but there was no warmth in it.
"Some people don't deserve to live on this earth," she replied casually. "By killing them, we're simply helping the world clear out its trash."
When she saw the hesitation in Jenny's expression, Lana instantly understood. Jenny simply couldn't bring herself to kill someone.
