"Ahhhhhhh!!"
Matsuda and Motohama were struck head-on by the pink lasers, convulsing as if jolted by electricity. Wisps of black, cursed energy seeped from their bodies and vanished into thin air.
Issei Hyoudou stood frozen, mouth agape. His newly sprouted oppai had just fired laser beams—like something out of a fever dream.
No way. This had to be a dream. It had to be!
"Motohama, Matsuda, are you guys okay?"
Snapping out of his stupor, Issei rushed to check on his friends. No matter how far they'd fallen down the path of perversion—even dragging him along for the ride—they'd still been his closest friends once. Hurting them was the last thing he wanted.
"Ugh... My head's pounding. What happened?"
"Issei... Matsuda... How did we end up here...?"
Though their screams had been bloodcurdling, the two seemed physically fine. Shaky and dazed, Matsuda and Motohama staggered to their feet, looking as if their brains had just been rebooted.
"Motohama, Matsuda, don't tell me you've lost your memories! Try to remember—anything!"
"Let me think... We..."
Issei watched anxiously, half-expecting some cliché amnesia twist. But as the pair slowly pieced things together, their faces went pale.
"Motohama..."
"Matsuda..."
"We... we..."
They remembered. Everything. Their eyes glazed over as the realization hit.
"Ugh..."
Both dropped to their knees, retching violently.
So much for chasing true love. Just recalling what they'd done made their skin crawl. Matsuda and Motohama looked ready to crawl out of their own bodies.
"Motohama, I'm going to kill you!"
"Matsuda, give me back my innocence!"
"Ahhhhhhh..."
After vomiting their guts out, the two launched themselves at each other, wrestling like maniacs.
Yep. This was the Matsuda and Motohama Issei knew. Oddly enough, the laser had snapped them back to normal. Issei didn't bother intervening as they brawled over their "lost purity," instead checking himself over.
His chest had shrunk back to normal after firing the beams. Relief washed over him.
He loved oppai—worshipped them, even. But oppai only belonged on girls; on himself, they were just... wrong.
Thinking back on everything that had happened, Issei felt his mind spinning.
"Ah... What the hell just happened?!"
The Underworld. Grigori, Fallen Angel Headquarters.
In the pitch-black depths of an underground prison, a silver-haired man lay motionless on a cold iron bed.
Vali.
"Lord Azazel."
"How's Vali doing?"
"Lord Vali has regained consciousness, but..."
"Open the barrier. I'll see him myself."
"Yes, sir."
Voices echoed outside the cell. The magical barrier flickered and fell away, and Azazel strode in.
"Yo, Vali. How's prison treating you? Cozy enough?"
Azazel waved, grinning. Vali didn't stir, still sprawled on the iron mattress.
"Hey, Vali, you awake? Give me something here—I'm Azazel, you know. I came to visit."
"Vali..."
Azazel's chatter filled the cell. Vali had tried to ignore him, but eventually, he couldn't take it anymore.
"Azazel, did you come here just to mock me?"
Vali sat up, cold eyes glinting.
"Finally, a response."
"You guessed it—I came to rub it in."
"Pretty pathetic, huh? Lost the big Two Heavenly Dragons showdown, got your precious Longinus snatched, and now even the Khaos Brigade you wanted to join has tossed you aside like trash."
"Vali, oh Vali... What am I supposed to say? You really are cursed."
Azazel's smirk was merciless, poking at every wound without restraint.
Vali knew he was being provoked, but his fists clenched tight, nails digging into flesh. Losing the duel, being abandoned—each was a humiliation. Absolute humiliation.
"Well, looks like you get it. Let's talk about your sentence."
Azazel's tone changed, and Vali's gaze sharpened.
"Vali, your identity as the descendant of the former Demon Lord Lucifer is out. You tried to join a terrorist group. After a council between the Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils, you're sentenced to life imprisonment."
"In other words, you'll spend the rest of your life in this cell."
Azazel's voice echoed off the stone walls. Vali let out a cold laugh.
"So you're not going to execute me? I could break out of here anytime."
"Your background's sensitive, and joining the Brigade was a serious crime. But you haven't caused any real damage, so no death sentence."
"Even without your Sacred Gear, we still trust your abilities. That's why we're layering your cell with extra-strong barriers. If you manage to escape, well, that's your own skill—I'm curious to see if you can."
"That's the deal. I'll tell the guards to keep a close eye. Until you break out, enjoy prison life."
Azazel waved and turned to leave.
As Azazel's footsteps faded, the chill around Vali seemed to thaw, replaced by something more complicated.
Azazel... You must be disappointed in me...
No one heard the words. But even that flicker of emotion was quickly buried. Vali's eyes hardened, icy and sharp.
Just wait, Tenra Kamiyo. Our duel isn't over yet.
The Human World. Kamiyo Residence.
"What's wrong, Tenra?"
Rias looked up, concern etched on her face as Tenra paused mid-motion.
"It's nothing. Let's keep going..."
With a soft smile, Tenra sealed her lips with another kiss. The next round was just beginning...
