Vali hovered in midair, his body slick with blood, but his eyes shone with a feverish excitement. This was what destiny had promised him—a rival who could truly force him to the brink.
"Damn White Dragon Emperor... You're tougher than you look."
Tenra grimaced, battered and breathless, but couldn't help but respect Vali's strength. Kokabiel might have been Maou-class, but compared to Vali, he was from another world entirely.
"If we keep this up, we could fight for days and never reach a conclusion."
Vali's lips curled into a razor-sharp grin. "I've decided, Red Dragon Emperor. I'll show you my Juggernaut Drive. You've earned it."
A chill ran down Tenra's spine. Did Vali just say Juggernaut Drive? Was he insane?
"Vali, even for you, that move is reckless. My power will consume you," came Albion's voice from the jewel, laced with worry and warning.
Vali shrugged off the concern. "I don't care. All that matters now is victory."
Ignoring every caution, Vali summoned his magic. White Dragon Emperor's armor gleamed anew as he raised a hand to the heavens.
"I awaken as the Overlord who steals the principle of domination, who strips away all from the Two Heavenly Dragons. I envy the infinite, I seek the dream."
"I shall become the White Dragon of Supremacy—let me take you to the pure white extreme!"
"Juggernaut Drive!"
A torrent of wild, violent magic erupted from Vali, his body swelling, neck stretching, limbs twisting into claws and talons. Before the stunned crowd, Vali transformed into a colossal, silver-white dragon.
"Ahh...!"
"Th-that's...!"
Rias and the girls below could hardly breathe, the aura radiating from Vali's new form so intense it felt like their lungs were being crushed.
"He actually unleashed Juggernaut Drive. Vali's desperate now," Azazel said, a glint of something unreadable in his eyes.
Michael and Sirzechs wore grave faces. Even Katerea, usually so smug, bit her lip, her expression darkening. She hated to admit it, but this Vali was terrifying. If they fought now, she'd stand no chance.
The silver-white dragon threw back its head and roared, the sound shaking the heavens. Magic power gathered in its maw, condensing into a brilliant sphere.
"Ddraig, got any bright ideas?" Tenra asked, cold sweat trickling down his neck.
A pause. Then Ddraig's voice, heavy: "Run, partner."
Tenra's mouth twitched. He almost cursed, but before he could, the silver dragon let loose a shriek and fired the magic bullet.
One split into ten, ten into a hundred, a hundred into a thousand, a thousand into ten thousand—the sky filled with a blizzard of magic spheres.
Tenra's scalp tingled. He let out a long sigh. Ddraig was right—there was only one option.
Run.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The sky exploded into chaos. Tenra became a crimson streak, darting and weaving, but the barrage was endless. In the end, his figure was swallowed by the raging storm of energy.
"Tenra-sama..."
The explosions raged on, finally fading. But aside from the silver-white dragon, Tenra was nowhere to be seen. Rias and the girls stared in horror; the youngest, Iru and Neru, covered their mouths as tears welled up in their eyes.
Had Tenra survived such an onslaught?
Just as despair threatened to swallow them, a piercing cry rang out—
"VALI!"
Like a fallen star, Tenra hurtled from the darkness, clutching an energy sphere the size of a house. Under the girls' shocked, tearful gazes, he smashed it down onto the dragon's back.
CRASH!
Another earth-shaking explosion. The silver dragon howled in agony, while Tenra retreated tens of thousands of meters in a flash.
"Hah... hah... Did that do it?" Tenra gasped.
"Not yet," Ddraig replied, his tone grim.
As Tenra's vision cleared, he saw the truth: his all-out attack had left only a shallow scorch mark on Vali's back.
The silver dragon roared again, but didn't attack. It hovered, watching Tenra with cold, mocking eyes.
In that gaze, Tenra saw nothing but disdain.
"Ddraig, give me everything you've got!" Tenra growled, anger boiling inside.
"Partner, in this state, we can't defeat Juggernaut Drive," Ddraig warned.
But Tenra was beyond listening. He clenched his fists and shot forward.
"Million Crimson Fists!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
He unleashed a torrent of punches, enough to level mountains. But the silver dragon didn't flinch—it simply watched, indifferent.
"Divide! Divide! Divide!"
Vali's power kept stripping Tenra's strength away. Then, with a casual swipe of its massive claw, the dragon sent Tenra flying like a meteor.
"Ah—!"
Pain exploded through Tenra's body, bones screaming as he plummeted to earth, carving a crater a hundred meters wide.
Blood gushed, and Tenra nearly blacked out from the agony.
Unbelievable. Against Juggernaut Drive, he was utterly helpless.
"Tenra!"
Rias started forward, but Sirzechs raised a hand to stop her.
"Stay where you are, Rias!"
"But, brother—Tenra, he... Tenra..."
"If you're still Tenra's fiancée, then watch. Watch his battle."
Sirzechs's stern words snapped Rias back to her senses.
"Rias-neesan, I believe in Tenra-san. He'll win—I know it!" Asia cried, tears streaming down her face, but her eyes shone with unwavering faith.
"Rias, let's just stay here and watch. Watch Tenra's fight," Akeno said, her own tears glistening as she smiled gently.
Rias slowly calmed herself. She realized she'd been acting on impulse.
Right now, she couldn't help Tenra. All she could do was stand with everyone and believe in him.
"Sona-chan, looks like the Red Dragon Emperor's about to drop," Serafall remarked, her tone matter-of-fact.
Juggernaut Drive was simply too strong. Even as a Maou, Serafall couldn't guarantee victory against it.
"He won't fall," Sona replied, adjusting her glasses, voice steady.
At that moment, every gaze was locked on Tenra's battered, crimson figure. Even the silver-haired maid's eyes sparkled with a strange, unspoken hope.
"Tenra Kamiyo, let me see if you're worthy of all my hopes."
