Fuyuki City, Tohsaka Residence.
This wasn't the garden mansion where Tokiomi Tohsaka usually resided.
That mansion's garden had been destroyed in yesterday's battle and was currently under repair.
Tokiomi had no way to address the situation... his daughter's Servant had charged into the garden, wrecking the defensive spells he had set up in advance. Then, his own Servant had unleashed full force, turning the garden into a ruin with the dazzling [Gate of Babylon].
And to top it all off, their team had scored the lowest yesterday, meaning they had to treat the other Masters and Servants to a "grand feast"... Gilgamesh had decreed that this meal must reflect his status as the "King of Kings."
"What kind of nonsense is this...?"
Tokiomi's heart was heavy with exhaustion, and he even briefly considered abandoning this Holy Grail War.
But, alas...
Looking at his youngest daughter, who was deeply invested in this Holy Grail War, Tokiomi had no choice but to muster his strength and continue preparing for this "competition."
"No choice, then."
"I'll have to borrow the Edelfelt property for now."
Tokiomi owned two "ancestral" properties in Fuyuki City.
One was the ancestral home passed down through generations of the Tohsaka family.
The other was his grandmother's, belonging to the prestigious Nordic Edelfelt family.
It was another luxurious garden mansion... while not as grand as the Einzbern's castle-like estate, it was likely unmatched in Fuyuki's bustling downtown for its elegance and tranquility.
"Most importantly, it's spacious enough."
Tokiomi hadn't slept, spending the entire morning tidying the house and hiring a professional team of chefs to prepare the so-called "delicious feast."
From another perspective, however, an event like this wasn't entirely bad.
"I am Kayneth El-Melloi Archibald, accompanied by my student Waver Velvet and our Servants, here to visit the head of the Tohsaka family."
The impeccably polished blonde magus stepped forward first, followed by his assistant magus, who carried bags with a sour expression.
Tokiomi maintained his characteristic "elegance," welcoming the genius magus from the Clock Tower with the courtesy befitting a distinguished guest. He even had his eldest daughter make a brief appearance before the teacher and student, politely addressing them as "Professor" and "Teacher."
Kayneth responded with a smile, even patting the twin-tailed little girl on the head, praising her "potential" and "bright future." He suggested that if she ever had the chance to visit the Clock Tower, she must come to "pay a visit."
... Without an opportunity like this, how could an "ordinary" magus from a lesser family ever hope to exchange even a single word with a genius magus and Clock Tower lord like Kayneth?
...
About ten minutes later, the group that had gathered at the Holy Church arrived in a grand procession.
It was quite the spectacle.
Saber, Lancer, Berserker, Assassin... four extraordinary Servants, alongside Jeanne Lily, a genuine saint. Tokiomi wouldn't doubt this lineup could start a world war on the mystical side.
Yet, strangely enough, these five beings of immense power were now walking together, chatting and laughing. Gone was the tense, murderous atmosphere from last night, when it seemed they wanted nothing more than to kill each other.
Was it odd?
"No, not odd at all."
"Perhaps this is what it means to be a hero."
Tokiomi glanced back at the room that remained firmly shut... despite the golden king eagerly awaiting these guests, he had hidden himself away the moment they actually arrived.
While greeting the guests, Tokiomi led them to the pre-arranged dining hall.
The dining hall had four tables.
One for the adult Masters, one for the Servants, one for the children, and one for miscellaneous others.
The atmosphere at the Masters' table was relatively harmonious. As seasoned magi, everyone was reserved, avoiding provocative questions or intentionally embarrassing one another.
The children's table, however, was a bit rowdy... Illya seemed to be deliberately targeting Caren, while Rin Tohsaka was intensely curious about her Santa-hat-wearing younger sister. Together with Jeanne Lily, the "big sister," the five little girls created quite a charming scene.
But at the Servants' banquet table... the atmosphere was rather sharp.
"Speaking of which, it seems we have some unfitting company here, don't we?"
"With his status, is he really supposed to be here?"
The first to launch a verbal attack was Alaric.
He stared at the Assassin, whose body was mostly concealed beneath a white monk's robe, openly mocking his "unworthiness."
...
... He hadn't forgotten that it was this Servant who had tried to bind him with the Chains of Heaven yesterday!
Before the Assassin could counter Alaric's verbal jab, a furious shout rang out in his ears.
"Silence, mongrel!"
"He is a guest I invited. His worth is not for you to judge!"
"Huh? Your guest? Isn't it because your team was so pathetic yesterday that you had to host this feast today?"
"I'd love to host a feast too, but alas, my strength doesn't allow for such failures... Sigh, why don't you just play the [good kid] and settle for a guaranteed two points?"
"You bastard... I'll slaughter you!"
"Why is the last-place team barking so loudly? If you're so great, why don't you take first place?"
Alaric and Gilgamesh were at each other's throats.
But it was merely a "quarrel."
Meanwhile, on the other side, the "battle" between two female Servants had escalated to a point of fierce rivalry, neither willing to yield.
"It was too hectic yesterday to notice."
"But today, I suddenly realized... Saber, Lancer, you two look so alike!"
"Even the ahoge on your heads is the same."
Iskandar, stroking his chin, commented earnestly.
This sparked a true "battle of the century."
