Our House was spacious but also not very luxurious, opposite to stairs was main door. I made my way towards Dinning Room.
My Father was sitting towards head of the table, Luna and Noah were sitting opposite each other alongside father. My mother was serving food while cooking in the kitchen.
There was a empty plate besides Noah, I sat beside him waiting for the food.
"Sol, Don't be too nervous. I am sure you will pass" My Dad's calm and composed voice rang out.
"Yes" I replied
The atmosphere was very wholesome, It was giving me sunshine and rainbow's. Even though I got my memory, I still felt a little out of pace.
Suddenly, My mother came out of the kitchen.
Placing a plate of eggs on the table and said
"Eat while it's warm, all of you. No complaints today, I worked extra hard on this."
"Food is food. Just eat. No fuss." My father said and glanced at me for a second, softening his tone slightly. "Make sure you eat enough before heading out."
Noah started chewing with his mouth half-full. "Yeah, this is good, Mom. Better than the junk they sell outside. But, uh—" looking at Father nervously "—not saying I eat out or anything."
Father narrowed his eyes and looked at Noah. "You'd better not be wasting money on trash food outside."
"He's still young. Let him eat." Mother said calmly
"Well… at least I don't get caught. Unlike—" He shot me a mischievous grin, but quickly adding in a more respectful tone. "But hey, if you say I shouldn't, I won't."
I raised and eyebrow and said "Just don't drag me into your excuses."
"Oh, don't worry. No one needs to drag you into trouble… you walk right into it yourself." Luna said while swinging her leg.
"She's got you there, Brother." said Noah
"You're teaming up with her now?" I said in disbelief.
Instantly Luna said giggling, taking a sip of milk "I don't need to team up. You make it too easy."
Before anyone said anything a firm voice of my dad rang out "Enough bickering at the table. A family meal is not a battlefield." Then, His voice softer "Even if that's what makes it lively sometimes."
Then Mother smiled knowingly at Father and said "Eat, all of you. And don't forget to thank the food."
Noah leaned a little and said in a whispering voice "See? Even Dad likes when we mess around… he just won't say it out loud."
Luna also leaned close to me, whispering but not so quietly "But I'll keep pointing out your flaws. Someone has to."
"Remind me again why we don't eat in silence?" I said half sighing, half smiling.
"Because silence is boring, and this is family." My mother said cheerfully.
Seeing all this lively atmosphere I had a warm feeling in my heart and for some reason felt completely satisfied.
"Sol, Stay after the breakfast" My father said in a gruffy voice
"Yes, Father" I said.
