Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Big Brother's Back, as Hard as His Heart

At 4:30 AM, Tsuneo woke up on time, put on his clothes, ran to the park, and began practicing his boxing.

Intense, rapid punches struck the tree trunk, which was thicker than a man, emitting dull thuds.

"Thump!"

"Thump!"

The tall figure seemed to feel no pain, repeatedly striking the tree trunk.

The sturdy tree swayed, and green leaves fluttered down.

It wasn't until past 7 AM, when more people gradually appeared in the park, that Tsuneo stopped tormenting the tree and ran back home.

To become strong requires years of hard training, day in and day out, and also a park with plenty of trees.

After washing up, when Tsuneo came out, he happened to see the young couple from upstairs also leaving, arm in arm.

"Mr. Tsuneo, good morning!"

The girl chirped energetically, while the boy kept rubbing his eyes and yawning.

"Morning."

Tsuneo nodded in response.

The three chatted casually and entered the convenience store together.

The young couple bought some breakfast in a hurry and rushed off to catch the bus.

Tsuneo bought a dozen sandwiches, carried his tool bag, and brought a paint can to Dr. Agasa's house.

The savory beef sandwiches tasted good.

He ate them while painting, and even gave one to Dr. Agasa.

"I heard you went to fix a TV last night and ran into Shinichi?"

Dr. Agasa asked indistinctly, chewing on a sandwich.

"That guy is like a God of Death; cases happen wherever he goes."

Tsuneo chuckled.

Shinichi must have called Dr. Agasa to report about the voice changer.

"He said the same thing about you…"

Dr. Agasa felt that neither of them was easy to deal with.

The wall was quickly painted.

Tsuneo received a call from the super idol he met yesterday.

As expected, Yoko-san had moved into a new apartment and called to ask him to change a new door lock when he had time in the evening.

"Yoko Okino?"

Dr. Agasa blinked, about to say something, but was silenced by a piece of sandwich.

"Give the bill to Kudo for me."

Tsuneo stuffed the dinner bill from last night into Dr. Agasa's lab coat pocket and left Dr. Agasa's house.

"Thirty-five thousand yen?"

Dr. Agasa looked at the long list of dishes, swallowed, and took a big bite of the sandwich in his hand.

"Done!"

Tsuneo clapped his hands and tapped the glass in front of him with satisfaction.

"Next time, no more playing soccer inside, understand?"

The woman beside him affectionately stroked her child's head.

"Got it, Mom."

The child nodded, appearing very well-behaved.

Indeed, there are still more normal people in this world!

Tsuneo took the repair fee and stepped out of the yard.

"Stop!"

In the alley, a chubby young man was sweating profusely, chasing a figure in a hoodie.

Seeing the distance between them growing, Tsuneo silently extended a foot.

"Thump!"

The person in the hoodie tripped, rolled once, and then crashed into a telephone pole, revealing his true face.

The person appeared to be around thirty years old, with a pale face, dark eye circles, and thin, messy hair.

He was in very poor condition.

He didn't look malnourished; he looked more like a drug addict.

"Watch out!"

Officer Chiba saw the tripped hooded man pull a switchblade from his pocket and madly stab at the person who had helped, shouting loudly in alarm.

The next second, another loud thud sounded.

The hooded man seemed to have been hit by a truck; his chest caved in, he spat out a mouthful of blood, and he flew at an extremely fast speed, crashing into the telephone pole.

Chiba stood frozen, staring in disbelief at the young man in gray work clothes.

"He was going to stab me with a knife, so this counts as self-defense, right?"

Tsuneo said, looking at the blood on the ground with distaste.

Such a drug addict, it's better to just hit him dead.

Chiba nodded blankly, then quickly went to check the hooded man's condition.

Seeing that he was still alive, he breathed a sigh of relief and called for an ambulance.

Tsuneo had only parried the knife and used his shoulder and elbow to hit him.

After the opponent lost the ability to move, he did not continue to attack, so it naturally could not be excessive self-defense.

"Thank you."

Before Officer Chiba got into the ambulance with the man, he didn't forget to thank Tsuneo.

Tsuneo silently handed him a few business cards.

The best way to repay him is to find more work for himself.

Chiba: …

In the evening, Tsuneo emerged from Yoko Okino's new apartment, ending a fulfilling and busy day.

Passing by the mall, he bought a roasted chicken and walked happily home along the riverbank.

There was still a lot of beef in the refrigerator, which could be used to stew with tomatoes.

Just thinking about it made his stomach rumble.

That young couple had fought twice last night, so they should be quiet tonight.

"Today is a good day!"

"Ring, ring, ring"

The phone rang.

Tsuneo pulled out his phone from his tool bag and answered.

"Hello, is this Mr. Tsuneo?"

"It's me."

"My name is Kazunobu Chiba. You helped me catch a thief today, do you remember?"

On the other end of the line was the chubby Officer Chiba.

"I remember. Is there a reward for me?"

Tsuneo nodded, asking expectantly.

"Uh, no, not exactly. This thief's identity is a bit unusual; he has some connections with a drug trafficking Organization."

"I wanted to warn you to be careful."

Officer Chiba instructed Tsuneo to pay attention to his safety and to call the police immediately if anything felt wrong.

"Alright, alright, I know."

Tsuneo saw a car slowly pull over to the street in the distance, gave a perfunctory reply, and then hung up the phone.

Two Black-Clothed Men got out of the car and entered an apartment building nearby.

That car was a porsche 356a!

Gin and Vodka entered the building with murderous expressions.

The hard workers were about to act again.

Gin had killed countless people in his life.

Tsuneo racked his brain, but couldn't figure out which unlucky soul would die inside.

"This car emblem, it's quite nice, isn't it?"

Passing by the porsche 356a, Tsuneo stopped.

"Big Brother, this guy is such a spineless coward; he spilled everything with just a little scare."

Vodka, the famous driver, looked admiringly at Gin, who stood in front of him with his hands in his pockets and a cold expression.

"Hmph."

Gin sneered.

Both traitors and useless people deserved to die.

Just as he was about to step out of the apartment building, he suddenly stopped.

Vodka accidentally bumped into Gin's back.

Big Brother's back is as hard as his heart!

"Who did this?"

Gin saw the hood of his beloved car open, and a murderous aura began to spread.

His expression was even more terrifying than when he had just killed someone.

Vodka quickly ran to the back of the car to check, and finding nothing unusual, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Big Brother, nothing's wrong in the back."

It must have been some passerby who saw this rare car and wanted to get a closer look, right?

Gin stood in front of the car, looking at the missing car emblem, and silently lit a cigarette.

Vodka didn't notice Gin's abnormality and poked his square head, wearing sunglasses, out of the car window, shouting,

"Big Brother, let's go, get in the car!"
