Loki was captured.

More precisely, the Loki who tried to take the Cosmic Cube and escape was captured.

During this period, the TVA dealt with many Loki variants: there was a barbarian version, a black version, and even a version that was similar to Loki but became a president.

But none of these Lokis were the Loki that Kevin was looking for.

Only this one, the Loki personally being tried by Ravonna Renslayer, was the one Kevin was looking for.

So, at Ravonna Renslayer's trial, Kevin finished all of his work for the day early and came here to observe Loki up close and personal.

Until he saw Mobius quietly walk in from outside.

As soon as Mobius entered, he saw Kevin sitting in the front row, listening to Loki's trial.

He walked over and sat next to Kevin, asking him in a very low voice:

"What are you doing here?"

"The same as you, listening to Loki's trial."

"I remember I said I'd handle this, you..."

"Mobius, it's just listening to a trial, no need to be so nervous, after all, I haven't gone after the person you're chasing now."

Kevin said with a hint of roguishness.

"Hey, listen Kevin, you can't..."

"Shh—"

He held up a finger, making a shushing gesture, and Kevin stopped Mobius from continuing before he could say anything.

"We need to be quiet in court, and there's a good show coming soon."

Kevin whispered to Mobius, pointing a hand at Loki, who was standing in front of Ravonna Renslayer.

Both of them looked at Loki at the same time, and sure enough, they saw the God of Lies from Asgard, currently speaking confidently to Ravonna Renslayer, with a slight raise of his hands.

Muscles tensed, fists clenched.

Even without feeling the power of magic, Kevin knew what Loki was doing now.

He was trying to use magic.

Just like when Kevin tried to take OB out of the TVA in front of OB.

Loki still hadn't understood the situation, completely unaware of his predicament, and still thought he could use magic as he did outside.

But unfortunately, in the end, he couldn't do anything.

"Damn it, why isn't it working!"

Magic and supe powers are absolutely forbidden within the TVA, even Kevin couldn't cast a single bit, let alone an Asgardian god who is currently completely weaker than Kevin.

Seeing that Loki hadn't been able to do anything for a long time, Ravonna Renslayer made her final judgment, deciding to reset Loki.

Kevin then looked at Mobius:

"It's your turn to make an appearance."

"Please, Kevin, don't mess things up for me later."

"Am I the kind of person who would mess things up for you?"

Kevin looked at Mobius innocently.

Mobius had no choice but to give up on him, and seeing that Loki was about to be reset, he didn't have time to bicker with Kevin, so he immediately got up to communicate with Ravonna Renslayer to save Loki.

Kevin saw this and didn't disturb him; he quietly got up and left, waiting for the right moment.

Although Kevin had only watched the Loki series once, with his current memory, he could recall most of the details in the show.

He clearly remembered that in the first episode of the first season, when Mobius saved Loki and talked to him, he was called out midway, which led to Loki escaping.

And this was Kevin's opportunity to interact with Loki.

He didn't have to follow Mobius to talk to Loki.

Kevin just needed an opportunity.

Kevin didn't have to wait long for this opportunity.

After waiting quietly near the Time Theater for a while, Kevin soon saw Mobius enter with Loki, followed closely by B-15, a plump black hunter, who called Mobius out, talking about the danger of leaving Loki behind.

Then Loki took this opportunity to secretly escape from the Time Theater.

Kevin also seized this opportunity; when Loki ran in front of him, he grabbed his arm and led him to a pre-selected area.

A common archive room.

"Who!? Who are you!!!?"

Loki, who was dragged in by Kevin, didn't react at first.

It wasn't until he felt his pocket and realized that the prisoner controller he had just stolen from Mobius was gone that he looked up and roared at Kevin in a low voice.

"As you can see, I'm Agent Kevin. Should I say, 'Nice to meet you, Mr. Loki'?"

Kevin dangled the controller he had taken from Loki, smiling as he greeted him.

The time controller, which could control one's own time state, was in Kevin's hand, so Loki couldn't act rashly.

Because of the collar around his neck, Kevin only needed to press a button on the controller, and Loki would return to his original position.

Which was the Time Theater.

"Agent? You're an agent too? You look very young."

Loki scrutinized Kevin, his words seemingly tinged with distrust.

Compared to the seemingly aged Mobius and the hunter B-15, Kevin was too young.

Even younger than Loki's own appearance.

Loki was a bit unwilling to believe that such a young person was an agent.

"Yes, I'm so young and yet I'm an agent, and no one in the TVA seems to find it suspicious, Loki, you're really something."

"?" A question mark appeared above Loki's head.

Loki could understand the first part of what Kevin said, but he was a bit confused by the latter part.

Because judging from Kevin's tone, the other party becoming an agent of the TVA was because of him?

How could he, Loki, not know he had such great abilities?

Frowning intently at Kevin, Loki was about to speak:

"What exactly are you saying..."

"This isn't the place to talk. The hunters will be here soon. Let's go back first."

"Go back?"

"Yes, the most dangerous place..."

Kevin picked up the controller, and under Loki's horrified gaze, placed his finger on the button of the controller.

"No, no... you wait first—!"

"...is the safest place."

With that, Kevin pressed the button on the controller.

Accompanied by a brief time distortion, Loki's figure disappeared from in front of Kevin.

He had returned to the Time Theater, the place he had just run out of.

Kevin also quickly put away the controller, and then without stopping, he ran back to the Time Theater, greeted the person in charge of guarding, and walked in.

Inside the Time Theater, Loki sat on the ground, suddenly throwing his head back and tossing his hair behind him, saying to Kevin with great annoyance:

"Don't you have any new tricks?!"

"Never mind new or old, as long as the trick works. So now... shall we continue talking?"

Kevin pulled up a chair and spoke to him with a smile.

Loki stood up and said angrily:

"I have no desire to chat with you! I just want to go back now!!"

He was sick of this damned place now.

He was inexplicably convicted, and inexplicably sentenced to 'death'!

This was not civilized at all!!

Even in Asgard, at least criminals were given a chance to defend themselves!

Well, actually, what Loki was truly angry about was that his eloquent tongue was useless here.

Originally, relying on his cunning and 'intelligence,' even if he entered the most desperate of situations, he could rely on his mouth to gain benefits and status for himself.

For example, gaining control of the Chitauri army in front of Thanos, or becoming a guest of the Master on Sakaar.

But specifically in this place.

It seemed like everyone knew his true nature, everyone understood him, which made him very, very uncomfortable.

But he was powerless to do anything about it.

He could only rage in futility here.

Kevin could somewhat understand Loki's feelings.

For Loki, he had just been defeated by the Avengers, and then he had simply escaped relying on his intelligence and wit.

This was something he often did before, and it was nothing special.

The result was that this small deviation brought him so much trouble.

And what probably made Loki feel even more wronged was that this wasn't his fault to begin with.

If it weren't for the parallel universe Tony accidentally losing the Cosmic Cube, and the Cosmic Cube 'accidentally' falling at his feet, perhaps he wouldn't have had to face the TVA at all.

Because if that logic were followed, it was Tony and his group who caused the timeline conflict, not him, Loki.

But the TVA only captured Loki.

The difference in treatment was too great.

Even if he, Loki, was a villain, a liar full of lies, he shouldn't be subjected to such injustice!

Kevin knew that Loki must be thinking this in his heart.

He even guessed that Loki now desperately wanted to retrieve the Cosmic Cube and go back to settle scores with the Avengers.

It's just a pity that the TVA wouldn't reason with him.

According to the TVA's Sacred Timeline, Tony and the Avengers did the right thing; their actions were within the Sacred Timeline's progression.

Only Loki's escape was not.

Therefore, the TVA would only capture the runaway Loki, not the time-traveling Avengers.

"But I'm sorry, you can't go back," Kevin sat up straight, looking Loki in the eye seriously. "And I can't go back now either, so... why don't you tell me, the reason you brought me here? And, what do you want me to do?"

"You... what on earth are you talking about? What do you mean... what do you mean 'the reason I brought you here'?"

Loki didn't understand Kevin's words.

But Kevin didn't explain to him, because he knew very well that the Story God Loki could use his past variants to talk to Kevin.

Just like when he talked to the past Mobius in the final episode of Season 2.

"Are you sure you won't talk to me?"

"..."

Although Loki didn't understand what Kevin was saying, he realized this was an opportunity.

His eyes darted around, Loki stood up, and in his usual deceptive tone, said to Kevin:

"...Why wouldn't I talk to you? Aren't we talking now? You're right, I brought you here, and my purpose in bringing you here is..."

As Loki spoke, he began to approach Kevin, his target being the controller in Kevin's hand.

Just hearing him say that, Kevin understood that it seemed the Story God Loki would not have a conversation with him.

"Forget it."

Seeing Loki getting closer and closer, Kevin was too lazy to fight him, and pressed the controller again, sending Loki back to his original position.

Loki, who had just managed to stand up, once again plopped back down onto the ground.

It wasn't that Kevin insisted on him sitting on the ground; in fact, there was a chair in his original spot, but he had kicked it over himself.

So every time time reset, Loki would sit in the void, and then, lacking support, he would plop down onto the ground.

"F***!!!"

Even with Loki's relatively good upbringing, he finally couldn't help but curse.

He thought Kevin was toying with him, and again stood up abruptly, about to say something to Kevin, when he saw Kevin pull out a few gems from his embrace.

Those were Infinity Stones.

And the core of the Cosmic Cube, the Space Stone, was among them.

"You want to take the Cosmic Cube back to your own universe, right? But I'm sorry to tell you, that's impossible."

Kevin arranged the Infinity Stones he had taken from the 'Time Artifact Vault' in front of him, like arranging jelly beans, and continued to Loki:

"The one thing we don't lack here is Infinity Stones, but similarly, Infinity Stones have no effect here whatsoever, and Mobius should have told you, you can't go back."

Kevin said, leaning back in his chair, and turned on the projector of the Time Theater beside him.

The Time Theater can play all outcomes of a person from birth to death.

Any destiny recorded on the Sacred Timeline can be projected by the Time Theater.

"You want to go back, so I want to show you what will happen if you go back and continue along your original path."

Kevin opened the Time Theater, and without further ado, selected Loki's future destiny and chose to play it.

First was the scene after Loki's mother died.

Loki had seen this scene before, but seeing it again, his eyes still reddened slightly.

In all of Asgard, there were only three people Loki cared about most.

His adoptive father Odin, his adoptive mother Frigga, and his brother Thor.

But Odin was too partial to Thor, and Thor was a fool, often siding with his even stupider companions, frequently accusing Loki.

Only Frigga, like a true mother, cared for Loki, giving him the love he deserved.

Therefore, Loki was closer to Frigga, and his magic was also inherited from Frigga.

And now, through the Time Theater, Loki learned that his future would lead to his mother's death due to a 'small revenge' that wasn't even a prank.

Skipping Frigga, Kevin then played a scene of him, Thor, and Odin sitting together.

Odin's dying words entered Loki's ears.

Finally, turning into light and dissipating into the air, they also appeared before Loki's eyes.

Seeing this scene, Loki's breathing quickened, and tears welled up in his eyes.

Perhaps he hated his father, believing his father was too partial to Thor, but he was, after all, the adoptive father who had raised him for thousands of years.

What was everything he did for? Wasn't it just to make his adoptive father look at him more, to see his excellence, to see that he was no less than that Thor, to prove himself in front of his adoptive father?

As a result, his adoptive father Odin also died.

He didn't even die in Asgard.

After Odin was Thor.

Kevin patiently played Loki's future according to the plot sequence of "Thor: Ragnarok," letting him see scenes of him and Thor bickering, then cooperating, and fighting side by side.

Seeing that he still had a brother, Loki finally smiled.

Kevin couldn't describe his smile; it was a mix of happiness and the joy of finally being acknowledged by his brother.

He always said he didn't care about Thor, always wanting to kill Thor.

But in reality...

Loki cared about Thor more than he imagined.

And after losing Odin and Frigga, Thor became Loki's only remaining family.

Nothing made Loki happier than being acknowledged by his remaining family.

It was just a pity that Loki couldn't be happy for long.

Thanos's arrival put an end to everything.

Loki watched himself fail in his attack on Thanos, being gripped by the throat.

He watched him choke himself to death, his eyes wide with unwillingness, falling to the ground.

And he watched, as the entire Asgardian spaceship, and the Asgardian people escaping on it, were blasted into fragments by the cannon fire from Thanos's warship.

"!!"

In that instant, Loki's breathing stopped.

His tears immediately fell, and the expression on his face changed from relief and joy to shock and confusion.

Kevin put down the Time Theater remote control here and turned to look at Loki.

He didn't speak, just waited for Loki to react.

Having seen his entire life, and understanding that the Infinity Stones were useless here, Loki was now completely lost.

He stepped back a few paces, sat on the steps of the Time Theater, and stared blankly at the screen displaying 'The End', unable to recover for a long time.

Until the door was pushed open, and Mobius and B-15 entered side by side.

"So you're here, Loki!!!"

B-15 immediately picked up her pruning stick and charged menacingly towards Loki.

Kevin quickly stepped forward to stop her:

"Calm down, B-15, he's no threat now!"

"Kevin, why are you here??"

As Kevin stopped B-15, Mobius also questioned Kevin.

Kevin held B-15 back, not letting her go after Loki, and at the same time turned to answer:

"As you can see, I've helped you bring back a lost prisoner. Don't be so nervous, Loki wasn't trying to run, he just... well, he got lost trying to find the restroom..."

"Agent Kevin!!!"

B-15 could tell Kevin was lying as soon as she heard it. She frowned, glaring at Kevin, about to say something reproachful.

But Kevin interrupted her beforehand and pulled her out of the Time Theater.

"Alright, B-15, don't be so angry. How about I treat you to hot cocoa? As for here, just leave it to Mobius."

With that, Kevin winked at Mobius and forcibly dragged B-15 out of the Time Theater.

So what if Mobius didn't let Kevin participate in Sylvie's matter?

Kevin still found a way himself, didn't he?

He believed that after this incident, even if it was to repay Kevin's favor, Mobius would probably let Kevin assist from the sidelines.

After all, in Mobius's eyes, if it weren't for Kevin, Loki would probably have been caught and pruned by now, and there would be no way to help him complete the mission of apprehending Sylvie.

So, even to repay the favor, Mobius would not be able to refuse Kevin's request to participate in this matter later.

Thinking of this, Kevin couldn't help but smile.
