Star-Lord, Peter Quill.

Thanos' adopted daughter, Gamora...

Kevin's gaze swept over the two individuals he had tied up, recalling their identities.

These two people, currently bound, were undoubtedly two of the main characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy.

A male protagonist and a female protagonist, who met because of the cosmic orb, developed a romantic entanglement, and eventually, they and a few others formed the Guardians of the Galaxy, beginning their Superhero careers in the universe.

Kevin had no interest in their romantic history.

Don't let these two individuals' grand titles fool you; one is the son of a Celestial, possessing Celestial blood.

The other is called the most dangerous woman in the entire universe, as if everyone fears her.

But setting aside all that nonsense, these two individuals were not much different from ordinary people in front of Kevin.

Peter Quill, who hadn't awakened his Celestial power and only possessed physical qualities slightly superior to an average person, was probably even inferior to some Supes in Kevin's original world.

Gamora was even less worth mentioning; although she had undergone some physical modifications and received rigorous combat training, she was no match for Kevin, a magician who could use 'Water Ball' in front of him.

The two were insignificant; compared to them, it was more important to first understand the cosmic orb in his hand.

The cosmic orb in Kevin's hand contained one of the six Infinity Stones in this universe, the power stone.

This was also Kevin's job change objective this time.

Logically, now that the objective was in hand, Kevin only needed to open this broken orb and grab the power stone inside with his hand to complete the mission.

Then he could change jobs and return with peace of mind.

However, it was precisely at this point that Kevin found himself in a predicament.

If Kevin remembered correctly, this thing was easily distorted open by Ronan in the movie.

But in Kevin's hands, it was as solid as a sealed metal block; no matter how much force Kevin applied, there was no sign of it opening.

Kevin even tried to use water to enter the interior and open it from the inside.

But unfortunately, although the object appeared to have cracks all over, the water simply couldn't get inside.

He didn't know what material this thing was made of.

"Do I have to go find the Collector? Ugh, but I don't have any money, and I don't know the way..."

Currently, the only one who could open the orb seemed to be the Collector at Knowhere.

But Kevin had just arrived here, unfamiliar with the place, and didn't have a single interstellar coin on him; let alone going to Knowhere, he would probably have to worry about dinner in this broken place.

"Hey! Water-wielding kid!"

Kevin was still struggling with the cosmic orb in his hand when he heard a rather arrogant voice from the side.

Turning his head, Kevin saw a walking tree-person.

And next to the tree-person, a talking little Rocket Raccoon that he had to look down to see.

"Calling me?"

"Of course, I'm calling you! Is there anyone else here besides you who can turn water into a kinky rope for a seductive bondage session?"

The little Rocket Raccoon said gleefully, then, without waiting for Kevin's response, he pointed at the bound Peter Quill and said:

"Although I don't know who you are, this guy is our prey. You'd best hand him over to us!"

The little Rocket Raccoon looked fierce, as if he would scratch Kevin's face if he didn't comply.

But his appearance seemed somewhat cute to Kevin, and since Kevin had no intention of fighting them, after the little Rocket Raccoon finished speaking, Kevin unhesitatingly released Star-Lord and threw him in front of the little Rocket Raccoon.

"Alright, alright, here you go."

This surprised the little Rocket Raccoon; his cute eyes blinked:

"Wow, that easy to talk to?"

"I am Groot?"

The tree-person next to him interjected.

This tree-person was named Groot, and from beginning to end, he could only say three words: 'I,' 'am,' and 'Groot,' and there would be no other order; he would only say them in sequence.

Through these three words, he expressed his inner thoughts.

But so far, no one, except his partner Rocket Raccoon, has been able to understand Groot's words.

Including Kevin.

After all, this guy wasn't some kind of marine creature, so Kevin couldn't communicate with him.

Kevin also had no desire to communicate with Groot; he tossed Star-Lord to them and turned back to continue struggling with the orb in his hand.

Rocket and Groot didn't look for trouble; their target from the beginning was Star-Lord because Yondu had issued a bounty for his capture.

They were the bounty hunters who had taken on this bounty.

The moment Star-Lord fell, Groot had already tied him up in a sack, and the two took Star-Lord and turned to leave, wanting to go back and report to Yondu.

Star-Lord was still shouting something in the bag, but just then, Thanos' adopted daughter, Gamora, somehow pulled out the longsword from her waist.

The material of the longsword was very strange; after Gamora gripped it, it actually cut through the continuously maintained Water Ball rope created by Kevin.

The water flow was obstructed for a moment, and the part of the water flow that lost Kevin's control instantly turned into ordinary water, falling on Gamora and soaking her body.

But Gamora didn't care at all.

The moment she dropped from the air, she brandished her longsword and charged towards Kevin:

"Give me that orb!"

She said, and the sharp longsword slashed towards Kevin.

The longsword emitted a chilling gleam under the sunlight, and its sharp edge even cut airborne debris into two.

Kevin dared not gamble whether his skin defense could withstand a longsword made of alien technology. Seeing Gamora charging, he retreated slightly, and with a wave of his hand, the water from a nearby fountain instantly gathered in the air, blocking Gamora's path.

"Madam, it's very impolite to snatch other people's belongings without permission."

Kevin righteously claimed the orb as his own and, at the same time, controlled the water to envelop Gamora's entire body.

The water formed a sphere, encasing Gamora's entire body, completely sealing her like a watertight prison.

This woman, hailed as 'the most dangerous woman in the entire universe,' was now being tossed around in the Water Ball like a piece of clothing being washed.

Rocket, who hadn't gone far, saw this scene and turned to Groot and the gagged Star-Lord, saying:

"See? If we had gone against him just now, we'd be in the same situation as that green-skinned girl."

"I am Groot."

"What? No, no, no, I wasn't scared. The great and genius Rocket isn't afraid of a kid who can only play with water. I just thought it wasn't necessary, understand? Not necessary!"

The two chatted, bantering as usual, while walking into the distance.

But just then, several aircraft suddenly surrounded them. Without a word, they unleashed a peculiar yellow force field on Rocket and his companions.

The yellow force fields connected, forming a transparent yellow net that fell upon Rocket and his companions, binding them in mid-air.

Then, a voice rang out from among the many aircraft:

"Subject 89P13, please put down your weapons. You are now under arrest for 'endangering public safety'!"

"Oh... F**K, it's the Nova Corps..."

Hearing the warning, the controlled Rocket cursed and gave up resistance.

Not only Rocket and his two companions were controlled; even Gamora, who was restrained by Kevin's water, was now bound by the yellow light net.

Only Kevin was not.

But he was still surrounded by a group of aircraft, which encircled him, their muzzles pointed at Kevin from below.

Facing this, Kevin hid the cosmic orb in his bag and cooperatively raised his hands:

"It has nothing to do with me, officers; what I did just now was self-defense."

"Yes, sir, you were indeed acting in self-defense." Someone from the Nova Corps echoed Kevin's statement.

"Then..."

"But you are suspected of illegal immigration, so please put down all your weapons, refrain from using any abilities, and cooperate with our investigation."

Kevin: "...Damn it."

The skill tree hadn't given him an identity; in this world... he was an undocumented immigrant.

...

The Nova Corps, Xandar's defense force, according to the setting, this force is the universe's guardian force, similar to cosmic police.

Therefore, as long as you are in the universe, within the Nova Corps' jurisdiction, you might see this force anywhere, at any location.

Xandar is the headquarters and base of the Nova Corps, where their numbers are the highest.

They bear all defense responsibilities for Xandar; they are the army, they are the medical team, and they are even the police.

Therefore, Kevin, an undocumented immigrant with no identity, was naturally caught by these 'police' and, along with Star-Lord and his group of idiots, sent to prison.

Actually, according to Kevin's current 'crime,' he shouldn't have been imprisoned with Star-Lord and the others.

It was just illegal immigration; once the point of origin before the immigration was clarified, he should have just been repatriated.

But unfortunately, Kevin was a complete undocumented immigrant in this world; the Nova Corps couldn't find Kevin's origin.

They only knew that his body had a very high similarity to Earth humans, but due to some degree of drug modification, he was also differentiated from Earth humans, and his place of origin could not be found.

In addition, Kevin had shown sufficient dangerousness when he was in the square.

Even Gamora was easily subdued by him, and the Nova Corps judged Kevin to be highly dangerous and could not be left unchecked.

So, in the end, Kevin actually entered Klin Prison with Star-Lord and the others.

It was known as the highest security prison in the entire universe.

"Highest security in the entire universe, the most dangerous woman in the entire universe. I say, do you space people always like to add 'entire universe' before your titles? As if that makes it very impressive."

Kevin, who entered the prison with Star-Lord and the others, couldn't help but complain to them when he heard these titles.

Rocket, walking in the middle, laughed heartily upon hearing this:

"Hahaha, you're right, most titles are just for show. For example, this so-called safest prison in the entire universe, I think it's no different from the prisons I've been in before. I bet you, I can escape from here in less than three days!"

Once Rocket started talking, it was like opening a floodgate, and he began to chatter incessantly.

He turned and looked at Star-Lord behind him, then said:

"To be honest, if it weren't for that kid who can play with water and that green-skinned woman, we would have already captured you and collected our reward, splitting the money happily. And you would have been torn limb from limb by Yondu and his Ravagers, never appearing in this prison!"

"There are many people in the universe who want to kill me; you don't need a walking tree-person and a talking Rocket Raccoon to add to them."

"Wait... what's a Raccoon?"

Rocket was confused by the unfamiliar term.

Star-Lord rolled his eyes:

"That's you, you furry little thing."

"I am not a Raccoon, I am me!"

Rocket was very displeased with Star-Lord's appellation for him, even though he was indeed a Raccoon, although he himself didn't know it.

Star-Lord was too lazy to argue with Rocket; his gaze passed over Rocket and directly looked at Kevin and Gamora, who were walking ahead.

Especially at Kevin:

"Speaking of which, you immediately tried to open that strange orb when you first came. Do you know what's inside that orb? Why did you want to open it?"

"I'm not obligated to answer your questions."

Kevin couldn't be bothered with Star-Lord.

He was still pondering what to do next.

Kevin wasn't worried about being trapped in prison because he knew it wouldn't be long before Rocket Raccoon would lead everyone in a prison break.

At that time, Kevin could leave with them.

The problem still lay with the cosmic orb.

After Star-Lord reacquired the cosmic orb, he would, predictably, take it to the Collector.

At that time, when the Collector opened the orb using special methods, should Kevin directly grab the power stone inside with his hand, or should he find something to pad his hand first?

If he directly grabbed the power stone, would he be blown apart by the violent energy within the gem?

Kevin didn't want to become a human firework.
