"Have you been waiting for me?" Rowan asked, approaching with a breathless smile with sweat still trickling down his temple as he stopped in front of Cora.
"Hmm, it's fine. It's actually my day off today," Cora replied with an easy grin, handing him a bottle of water. Rowan took it with a grateful nod and sat beside her on the left, his shoulders slumping as he finally relaxed.
"Puwah! That hits the spot. Cold water really does taste better after getting yelled at all morning," he said between gulps, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
Cora chuckled softly, her eyes glinting with amusement as she reached into the basket resting on her right side.
"Here, eat this too," Cora said, handing him a neatly wrapped sandwich.
"Aww, how thoughtful." Rowan grinned as he unwrapped it. "Anyway, it's your day off, right? Don't you want to go home or something?"
