The moment after the celebration passed quietly.
There was no rush. No pressure hanging over Dayo's head for the first time in a long while. He took a bus that evening although his head was clear to fruve but he didn't want any mistake, sitting by the window, watching the city move past him in its usual rhythm. People heading to their home after a long day at worm, vendors closing up their stores. cars honking impatiently. Everything felt normal again.
He leaned back slightly, exhaling.
He finally reached his house and took his shower.
Then his phone vibrated.
He checked the screen and smiled immediately.
Mom.
He answered the call without hesitation.
"Hello, Mom."
Before she could even finish greeting him, his father's voice joined in from the background.
"So you've finally finished the movie?" his dad asked.
Dayo laughed softly. "Yes. It's done. Completely done.. Eh but wait who told you guys that it was done?."
