Chapter 4 - Mandor's Backstory

Mandor woke up the next day and got ready to do the next part of his plan, which is a way to trap Hades. He knows the god of hell has a weakness for pure good and purification-type stuff, but there are no angelic resources in hell. Mandor walks out of his room to see Grenkor eating some meat, and Mandor asks, ''"What type of meat is that?"'' Grenkor responds with, ''"Oh, it's just some deer meat I found in the animal section of hell."'' Mandor reacts a little bit to that since he had forgotten that animals too can also be sent to hell through the deeds they commit in their lives, then says, ''"Oh, I forgot about that. Do you mind if I have some of the deer meat? I'm hungry too."'' Grenkor nods his head, and Mandor sits down on the chair and begins eating the cooked deer meat and likes it quite a bit and says, ''"Oh wow, this is quite good! I forgot the taste of cooked meat since it's been a while."'' Grenkor smiles as he says, ''"Well, I didn't know you rarely eat cooked meat… I thought you always had whatever you wanted due to your ability to make machines do almost anything!"'' Mandor smirks and responds with, ''"Well, yes, that may be true; it's just that I found other foods better, and usually they didn't have any cooked meat."''

After a couple of minutes, the duo finish eating, and Mandor gets up and walks over to his room to grab the Dormite Saber but leaves the Dormite Armor for now since he doesn't want it to constantly drain his stamina. He then grabs his portal gun and goes back into the main room of their base as he sees Grenkor preparing by putting on steel armor he made while fortifying the base, along with a giant steel sword for him and his size. Grenkor asks Mandor, ''"So where are we going again, Mandor?"'' Mandor looks at his portal gun as he explains, ''"We are heading to the main sector of hell to invade their information site where they store everything and anything in hell… Hades included… But the downside is that it's so heavily guarded it's almost impossible to get in, even for top-ranking demons who could wipe out entire human armies with ease. So we'll need to sneak in and take the information we need and get out…"'' Grenkor understands but then asks Mandor, ''"Well then, small guy… How do we sneak around exactly with this armor on?"'' Mandor looks at Grenkor, then says, ''"I took the liberty of making an invisibility gun from the dormite ore and other more common ores such as gold and iron. When I shoot us with it, it will''

''then make us invisible to the demon eye."'' Grenkor nods as Mandor then turns his head in front of him and pulls out the portal gun and fires it, and Grenkor and Mandor both enter inside, teleporting them to the information site.

Mandor, with his quick reflexes, immediately shoots both himself and Grenkor, making them turn invisible to just the demon eye, but they can still see themselves and each other. Mandor tests this by walking in front of a Demon Guard and waving his hand in front of the guard's face, and they don't react at all. Mandor gives Grenkor a thumbs up as Mandor secretly pickpockets one of the guards as the inside of the facility is an anti-portal zone, meaning they can't just portal in and out when inside. He gets the demon guard's keycard, and then when the guards aren't looking, he opens the door with it, and he and Grenkor get inside as they wipe their foreheads and continue moving forward.

They walk for what seems like an hour as they pass dozens of patrols that go on inside the building. Eventually Mandor finds the main room, and he looks at the sign above it as it says, '''Information'''—." The rest is broken, as it seems people haven't used this room in a long time, so they enter inside and they see a chair and a screen in front of said chair. Mandor smiles as he goes to the chair and sits down and looks at the button that says "Information"—the other has the same label, also being torn, so Mandor has to logically guess which one is the information injection button and the information extraction button.

He looks at the green and purple buttons on the chair and prays it's the purple one before pressing it. The screen turns on as it says the information extraction process will now begin and that any information extracted will play on screen. Mandor is in a panic as he tries to get out of the chair immediately, but the system detects that and puts locks on the chair to stop Mandor from leaving. Grenkor rushes over to help, but even with his brute strength, the locks don't budge, which also starts him going into a panic.

The system begins reading all of Mandor's memory as it speaks, ''"Loading information… Please wait."'' Mandor is screaming; he is really trying to get out, but he realizes it's made of ethereal obsidian. It's a vastly tougher version of regular obsidian, most likely to make this room long-lasting over eons due to hell's nature of being not only endless in size so it's quite easy to obtain but also time moves much faster here than it does on earth, as 1 year in hell is 1 minute on earth. Mandor realizes he can do nothing but sit and watch as his life plays before his eyes for Grenkor to see. Mandor begins crying. He doesn't want to see the atrocities that he committed in his past along with the suffering he endured.

The screen flickers to life as it begins playing out the beginning of Mandor's story..

The camera zooms in on the screen.

A young, clueless Mandor appears into existence in a white void as he wonders where the hell he is and who the hell he is. He turns around to see a being he can't quite make out, but it speaks to him in a calm and soothing voice that seems to cool Mandor down if he had any negative emotions going on: ''"Hello, my child… You may be confused about who or where or what you are, but rest assured, everything will be explained in due time. But I will say your name, and it is '''Tensai Mandor'''."'' Mandor looks happy at the name he has been given. With that, Mandor begins exploring this white void, with this being always seeming to follow him around no matter where he goes. He explores for days, and when he gets hungry, the being summons in food and water for him to eat, which he devours very quickly.

After Mandor is done eating, he continues walking until he eventually gets bored exploring the vast emptiness of the void, and so he asks the being for a world for him to explore! The being accepts as he creates a vast planet filled with nature for Mandor to explore, and he places him on it. Mandor is immediately met with a sheep, in which he wonders what it is as he pets it and thinks its wool is soft. Mandor explores this new world he was given, in which he enjoys for many years as he grows up into this world, but after a while, despite the vastness and uniqueness of it… It's just not enough for Mandor, so he asks the being for intelligent life like him, and the being obliges, and suddenly out of nowhere millions of intelligent stickmen and women like him appear into this vast new world.

Even though their intelligence is not at the level of Mandor's, they bear intelligence much better than the animals, and due to this factor over many decades, these stickmen evolve into a large species that rules over large areas of land with tribal homes and groups. Mandor was fascinated by the evolution of intelligent life, and with his curiosity and wonder, he watched the civilizations grow and grow. After multiple centuries they have developed into vast kingdoms beyond imagination with quaint towns and breathtaking castles.

He explored these kingdoms and eventually met their kings, in which they all took a liking to Mandor's personality. But after a while it became boring for Mandor once again as he turned to the being he oh so endeared and asked the being for the civilization to advance faster. The being hears Mandor's words and does just that as he ups the intellect of the entire species, which in just a decade they evolve faster than they did in multiple! In a couple decades they reach a modern civilization akin to the real world in technology. Their growth rate was nothing short of phenomenal, and their intelligence was not something to underestimate.

But even then Mandor became bored with this one civilization and turned to the being he oh so endeared once more and asked the being for more than just one world for him to explore. For there to be more than just one intelligent species. The being looks at Mandor and obliges as out of nowhere. Trillions of planets are made. Trillions of stars are born. The being creates an entire endless universe for Mandor to explore, in which some planets are habitable and have intelligent life on them akin to that of the planet Mandor is currently on. Mandor is given an item that allows him to explore these worlds, and he does just that. Over several years Mandor explores multiple worlds and sees civilizations grow, which brings him joy and happiness to see people like him evolve and grow into massive civilizations.

But once again Mandor grew bored and turned to the being he oh so endeared once again and asked them if he could have an ability to make machines that could do almost anything. The being looked at Mandor, and for once in Mandor's existence, the being told him that he must do something in return, and there will be a permanent side effect to this power. Mandor thinks it will be nothing much, as the being he oh so endeared would never do something like that to him after the stuff the being's given him and how he's been treated by the being. Mandor says he'll do it, but the once calm and peaceful tone the being had drops a little bit as the being speaks, ''"Mandor, my child… Once you accept this, you won't be able to turn back or back out. Are you sure?"'' Mandor nods his head and says that he will do whatever it takes to get him that power.

The stick kid screams at Mandor while crying profusely, ''"Y-YOU MONSTER! Y-..YOU KILLED MY PARENTS!!!"'' The kid slams his fist against Mandor, but it doesn't even make Mandor flinch as Mandor puts his own arms up and looks at them.

Mandor is stunned. Completely thoughtless, as he just realized what he got himself into… He was forced to kill the kid too, leaving him completely in shambles, wondering what he just did. After that, he was forced to slaughter more and more families, leaving all of them generally dead or with just one survivor, just to add that extra hit to their psychological state for whoever's left. After realizing all this, he begged and pleaded with the being to let him back out and to revive all the families he had killed, but the being reminded him of the words he oh so wished he had listened to: ''"Once you accept this, you won't be able to turn back or back out…"'' Those words, along with his accepting answer, haunted his mind for years as he was forced to kill and ruin millions, if not billions, of families. All due to his greed, he paid not only the physical price for those who could fight back against him and try to kill him but also a toll on his mental state as well as his good conscience, which was screaming at him and screaming in pain as he's forced to do all these atrocities he doesn't want to do. He tried to stop killing them in defiance, but the being physically forced him to do so, making sure Mandor sticks to his own words he oh so hates.

It wasn't only stuck to murder but other things as well, such as mass terrorism, fearmongering, rape, and so much more he was forced to do for this little quest to gain the power his past self desired. After years of doing several of these atrocities daily, he couldn't handle it anymore and tried to end his own life right there in an alleyway where no one would see or remember him. He put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger as he felt the sweet release of death.

But then, as he thought he was finally done and that he could move on… His body began shaking as it roared back to life with the bullet wound completely healed and the bullet in his stick head completely missing. He was confused and wondered why he couldn't end his own life. He tried again and again and again and again… He tried other ways too, but all of those failed as well; it always ended up with him somehow coming back from the dead. He turned to the being and sobbed as he said, ''"W-WHY CAN'T I DIE?! I CAN'T HANDLE ALL THIS GUILT AND TRAUMA… PLEASE JUST END MY SUFFERING, PLEASE!!"'' The being for once ignored Mandor's words, and he kept speaking and speaking, but the being didn't care and ignored his words. Day after day... week after week... He was committing atrocities he oh so wished he could stop doing, but the words he oh so hates continue to remind him of the greed of his decision that he pushed it too far and continued asking for more when he should've been content.

One day he goes from fearmongering a city on one planet to wiping out a whole species brutally on another. He keeps remembering all the sad and scared faces of the families he ruined, their words, and pleas for him to stop, which only added more and more guilt and trauma onto his already heavily strained consciousness. Eventually one day it became too much for him to handle anymore, and he broke… He mentally broke. His mind snapped as he began to go crazy from the sheer amount of guilt and trauma inside of him. After a while he only found joy in killing anyone he saw on sight. He grew used to seeing sad faces and scared faces. He grew used to seeing death and destruction. His mind became twisted as he began to enjoy the blood of his victims a bit too much. His methods of killing only got worse after he mentally broke, as at first he only killed them quickly with a headshot or stab to the throat. But now he takes his time in torturing his victims brutally, giving them as much pain as possible as his only source of joy before ending them.

His mind fell further and further as he became more and more twisted, and he became so twisted and insane that he began talking to himself like he had friends inside his own head. Split personalities, you could say… One had an immense joy in killing and doing what he was forced to do. One had the cruel and logical side of it; one had the fear and sadness side of it. With his new "friends," he continued on with his quest he now oh so loved. And after multiple eons of murdering, raping, terrorism, etc. He finally finished the quest, and once that happened, the being returned in its full glory as it descended upon Mandor like its his god.

Mandor looked up and said, ''"I have completed your quest, my lord~!.. May I have my reward now?!"'' The being nods, and with a flash, Mandor suddenly feels like he wants to too. Invent… He imagines a gun that could wipe out entire cities inside his head with his genius, and suddenly a gun begins forming out in front of him and falls into his stick hands. He tests it and fires it at a nearby kingdom, and the following explosion engulfs the entire kingdom, leaving nothing but vapor in its tracks. Mandor was nothing but thrilled with this power, and he imagined the things he could do with it.

Mandor then looked up to the god he oh so endeared and asked the god, ''"So what is this permanent side effect of this power? Does it have, like, a 50% chance of not working?"'' The God looked down on Mandor and spoke, ''"For the rest of eternity, due to your greed and the sins you've committed, you will be stuck in a loop starting from here and ending at a point you will eventually reach later on. Once you reach the end, you will suddenly black out and end up back here after…"'' Mandor's eyes went from normal to wide open as he thought his god was lying to him, but the god only confirmed that he wasn't lying. Mandor starts laughing hysterically as he tries to cope with the situation he's now in. He imagines a gun that can go through immortality and shoots himself, but he still comes back to life. He makes a gun that can erase his existence, but he somehow comes back from that too. He tries everything he can come up with, but it doesn't work. He always comes back from the dead no matter what.

The God he once loved so much tells him, ''"Oh, my child, you do not have an ability that revives you. I AM the one who revives you. In order to finally pass, you must defeat me."'' Mandor responds with, ''"B-B-But YOU'RE OMNIPOTENT… I literally CAN'T surpass you…"'' The god says that's his problem to deal with, and with that, the god he oh so hates disappears from Mandor's sight. Leaving Mandor in tears and anger, realizing he's now forced to be in a loop for eternity… Experiencing the same things over and over again… He continues his journey with sadness as he eventually meets Wild-Soul, his eventual best friend. But that doesn't last long, as his memories eventually come back to him, and he goes back to his path of destruction, which leaves Mandor saddened at first when he first experiences it. Along with his other friend Reaper, who eventually is forced to fuse with Baphomet to become NightShade, which also left Mandor even more depressed after another one of his friends left him.

Eventually his friends, along with his friends' siblings, all merge together to make one being. After that he's left back in solitude, and one random day he suddenly goes unconscious and wakes up back in that place he oh so hated after the god left him. This loop continued for so long he became emotionally numb and lost sight of himself as he went through many phases of his existence, eventually landing on one that he managed to stick to consistently, only sometimes slipping his true feelings through the cracks. One of a stoic and intelligent attitude and one that seems to know a lot but also not care at the same time. With this he continues his pitiful existence for the rest of eternity. Somewhere in between that, it does have his journey through hell and all that as well.

'''(End Of 18+ Section)'''

The screen finally turns off as it detects that Mandor's life is too long for it to process the rest, so it stops there to avoid overloading itself. Mandor sits there just sobbing profusely, saying he's sorry repeatedly. Grenkor, on the other hand, is just straight-up shocked and horrified at what Mandor's done and been through. He now realizes why Mandor wanted to avoid the topic that is his backstory, since it's something so terrifying and depressing that it could make anyone go crazy from just processing all of that suffering and guilt. The chair finally lets up and the locks are let go, and Mandor quickly just presses the green button, which gives him all the information he requests about Hades and learns what he needs to know before getting up and looking at Grenkor, who's still in shock of what he just witnessed.

Mandor still has a lot of tears on his face, but he puts his hand on Grenkor before telling him they should go now because they shouldn't stay here for too long, and Grenkor, still processing what he just witnessed, just nods his head, and they sneak back out of the Informational Site and portal back to HQ. Grenkor just says that he's going to go to bed while still having a shocked face, which he does, which leaves Mandor alone in his own room. He thinks over his entire existence and what he's done, and he begins talking to himself again as his split personalities begin speaking. The Devilish One Speaks ''"Oh, you should totally kill Grenkor for seeing what you did! He might hate you after it, so why not torture him for it and then kill him! ~"'' The Fearing One Speaks: ''"Y-Yea, what if he figures it out and begins to hate us?! I don't want to be alone again… No more loneliness…"''

The Logical Cruel One Speaks: ''"Are you guys stupid? We need Grenkor for our plan to work. I hope you guys remember that."'' The Devilish One Responds With ''"Oh, but Logical he knows what we did, so why don't we just TORTURE HIM!! ~"'' The Logical Cruel One Responds, ''"Because that would make him leave us with a 100% success rate, so I—I mean—WE are not risking that."'' The Devilish One groans and says the logical one is no fun, and they finally pipe down to let Mandor sleep as he ponders over his decision and decides he will try his best to keep Grenkor with him. As such, leaving himself in a saddened, confused, angry state as he whispers the words before falling asleep, ''"I-I wish it could just end…"'' Mandor cries himself to sleep once again.
