Chapter 193 - Thor's Lifetime of Black History

Everyone silently made a mental note of this piece of information. They certainly wouldn't call Hulk "Banner" in front of him, or they'd be in for a world of hurt.

Enraged, Hulk immediately launched into combat, and the two began fighting.

Thor's strength was slightly less than Hulk's, but his combat skills were superior.

This also aligned with Lin Feng's diary's description of them as the top-tier combatants in the Avengers.

In the Avengers, the spiritual leaders were Captain Rogers and Tony Stark.

The top-tier combatants were Thor and Hulk.

Everyone watching the screen was stunned because they had never seen anyone be able to fight Hulk like this, trading blows back and forth.

Even the Grandmaster, the organizer of this match, seemed a little surprised.

Thor smashed Hulk away with a single hammer blow, then cautiously approached, tentatively saying, "Hey, big guy, the sun is almost down!"

Thor placed his hand on Hulk's massive hand, trying to soothe him, thinking he was almost succeeding.

I really am a genius. He thought. He'd only seen Black Widow use this method once and learned it right away. Indeed, his greatest strength wasn't his power, but his intelligence.

Everyone held their breath, waiting. Thor continued, "I won't hurt you anymore. No one can hurt you anymore, just like that!"

But when Thor's face broke into a goofy, slightly idiotic grin, Hulk suddenly changed. He grabbed Thor and flung him around like a ragdoll, smashing him into the ground and creating large craters.

The crowd had just witnessed something similar, when Hulk did the same thing with Loki.

And he even added, "Weak god!"

Seeing this, everyone couldn't help but burst out laughing, even though it felt wrong.

Thor is so hilarious.

"This green behemoth is still amazing," Quicksilver said, also enjoying the show. The scene was just too much fun. "But the power of these two is a bit ridiculous, isn't it?"

Quicksilver thought, If I got punched by either of them, I'd probably be black and blue.

That would definitely hurt.

Meanwhile, in the VIP room.

Amidst the Grandmaster's bewildered expression, Loki suddenly jumped up, shouting, "Yes, that's it! Amazing! That's the feeling!"

He couldn't contain his excitement. After a moment, he explained to the Grandmaster, "I absolutely love this competition."

He'd originally wanted to leave this damned planet immediately and get as far away as possible, but now, he just wanted to stay and see the end. He really loved this competition.

Now, he absolutely loved this competition. Being tossed around by the Hulk was practically the biggest embarrassment of his life.

He'd never forget it, and he never could.

He was going to be mortified by this for the rest of his life.

But things were different now. Now, this big guy, who only had muscles on his mind, was being grabbed and thrown around by the Hulk just like him, and smashed repeatedly on the ground. This feeling was just too good.

Why couldn't they have a competition like this every day? If there was one of these competitions every day, he decided he'd stay on this planet permanently. He wanted to watch his big brother get thrown around like this every single day.

At this moment, probably only the people outside the arena knew what he was so excited about. Although this couldn't erase the embarrassment of being thrown around by the Hulk, at least there was someone else sharing the experience.

The audience in the arena was cheering.

"Hulk, Hulk, Hulk!"

And Thor finally experienced the feeling of social death that Loki had felt before.

Since talking nicely wasn't going to work, he had to give it his all. He needed to find Banner's soul.

"Alright, damn it!" Thor, with his war hammer in hand, charged forward and clashed with Hulk, roaring. "I know you're in there, Banner! I'm going to get you out!"

Thor was still confused about what was happening, just muttering to himself.

"What's wrong with you?"

"You're embarrassing me!"

"I told them we were friends!"

He had just lost face, badly. Although being tossed around was embarrassing, his physical condition was such that he wasn't injured. But the embarrassment was real.

He had told everyone that Hulk was his friend, and now he had been slapped in the face.

The crowd roared with cheers as Thor launched an attack, giving Hulk a serious beatdown.

However, he was quickly countered, and Hulk began to pummel him into the ground. Even Loki found the sight a bit much.

Only the Grandmaster, who had placed a large bet, finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Everyone knew that Hulk's combat strength increased with his rage. The angrier he got, the stronger he became.

At that moment, Thor caught a glimpse of his father, Odin. He finally unleashed his full potential, lightning crackling from his eyes, and punched Hulk, sending him flying.

Everyone was stunned, but they quickly began chanting his name. "Thunder! Thunder! Thunder!"

Seeing that Thor might win, the Grandmaster couldn't stay put any longer. From a distance, he activated the controller on Thor, electrocuting him unconscious.

This allowed Hulk to secure the final victory, knocking him out with a single punch.

"Despicable!" Thor roared in fury, watching the scene unfold.

He could have won. He could have beaten Hulk.

At that point, he might have already begun to awaken the source of his Lightning Power. If Grandmaster hadn't interfered, he might have already achieved the awakening of his lightning source during that process.

"That Grandmaster, he's so shameless," Thor roared.

He knew his father had given him a list of people to avoid, people who would be difficult to deal with, troublesome.

But he was beside himself with rage.

Being a gladiator and fighting Hulk was already humiliating, a disgrace to Asgard. Now, to lose the fight when he could have won…

For someone as proud as he was, it was a complete and utter disgrace.

He never thought that one day he would be so humiliated.

"I will have my revenge!"

Thor roared, vowing to avenge this insult.

He had never suffered such a great loss and was determined to retaliate.

Thor immediately understood that the Grandmaster had placed a large bet on Hulk. He wasn't one to overthink things, preferring to solve problems with brute force, but that didn't mean he was an idiot.

There were those who manipulated gambling in Asgard as well, but no one dared to cheat him.

He should have won easily. Who would have thought that Thor would awaken his God of Thunder's Power at the critical moment, even attempting to break free of control? This had touched the Grandmaster's raw nerve, and he was punished accordingly.

Moreover, he had lost face, and he no longer had the nerve to laugh at his brother. They were now in the same boat.

That guy being tossed around like that, and the expression he made before getting tossed around, was practically the same as a husky. Is it still possible to buy a ticket to go live in the DC Universe next door?

It's so embarrassing.

The people from S.H.I.E.L.D. couldn't help but burst into laughter. Tony Stark guffawed, saying, "I can live off this video for the rest of my life. He'll have to supply me with Asgardian fine wine for the rest of his life. I also want to taste what kind of divine liquor even Lin Feng raves about."

Everyone couldn't help but laugh even louder; the scene was too interesting.

Especially this video, it's practically Thor's black history. Maybe they could take the opportunity to blackmail Thor.

"Aren't you afraid he'll kill you to silence you?" Coulson joked.

Tony Stark laughed heartily, saying, "So many people have seen it. If he wants to silence anyone, he'll have to silence all of you. Besides, I've had Jarvis make several backups. Let's see what he does!"

Hearing this, everyone laughed even more heartily. With this video, they could definitely take advantage of Thor, who's so embarrassed right now.

But Nick Fury frowned and said, "Is that really the problem? The real problem is, he was controlled. Didn't we wonder before why Thor would go down to be a gladiator?

We all know that gladiatorial combat isn't something someone of Thor's stature would do. Why would he do it?

I think it's very likely related to the later events of Ragnarok. Asgard was destroyed, and Thor ended up in this gladiatorial arena, controlled and forced to fight. That electric shock was clearly the method of control, right there on his neck.

Don't you find that terrifying? A force in the universe that dares to sell Thor as a slave actually exists."
