After all, Lin Feng's previous evaluations of him in his diary weren't exactly flattering. Things like "evil capitalist," "sharp-tongued," and "egomaniac" – the complaints were just as plentiful as those aimed at Baldy or Motherfucker Man.
He seemed to have a bone to pick with everyone, except maybe Black Widow, which led them to joke that Lin Feng really did have a soft spot for her.
But now, these evaluations of him were incredibly high.
"Indeed, I am a born protagonist. No matter where I go, I can't help but be the center of attention," Tony Stark thought with a smug expression.
However, a new video soon appeared, interrupting his thoughts.
Everyone clicked to open it, and their expressions immediately changed, including Thor, who was in Asgard. Because in the beginning of the video, he saw himself battling aliens on a flying craft.
At this moment, he was far from the mighty Thor. He looked utterly exhausted from the fight.
Even though the video was just a snippet, it was easy to imagine the brutal battle he'd been through.
However, the fight wasn't over. A huge Leviathan ship burst out from the other side of the skyscraper.
This Leviathan ship moved through the air like a giant whale, completely ignoring the effects of gravity.
At this moment, Tony Stark, wearing his armor, flew over, trying to use lasers to cut through the Leviathan ship's outer shell. But Jarvis quickly reminded him, "Sir, you'll run out of power before you can cut through its hull."
Even the slowest person could figure it out now. This was likely the Chitauri invasion that Lin Feng mentioned in his diary.
On Earth, besides an alien invasion, what else could possibly have such a ship?
To stop the Leviathan ship from causing further destruction, Tony Stark flew directly in front of it. He said, "Jarvis, do you know the story of Jonah?"

Meanwhile, Spider-Woman Gwen had just finished dealing with a crime. She was sitting on a rooftop, enjoying the breeze while looking through her diary. Her expression shifted slightly.
Even though it was just a short snippet, it was enough to show how devastating the alien invasion of New York would be in the future.

The video continued. The pilot of a US Military's most advanced fighter jet heard a sentence over the comms that galvanized everyone.
"Commander Nick Fury has been relieved of duty. Execute Order 7A11!"
"7A11 confirmed. We are preparing for takeoff!"
The pilot didn't ask why, simply acknowledging the order.
"I've been relieved?" Nick Fury was stunned. Talk about an opening salvo. He'd never expected to see a scene like that the moment he looked at the video.
It was practically impossible!
He was the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. In this system, he was the undisputed boss. His superiors were only the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.
Although S.H.I.E.L.D. was gradually becoming more aligned with the United States because it did a lot of work for them, he was still, in principle, under the authority of the five permanent members.
So, theoretically, removing him from his position would require a joint decision by all five members.
The five permanent members of the Security Council all have veto power; any resolution requires unanimous consent.
So, even if he offended the representatives of the other permanent members, it wouldn't matter as long as the US representative supported him.
But now that he'd been dismissed, it meant even the US representative wasn't speaking up for him.

He immediately thought of the female liaison's words from earlier. Suddenly, he understood. There was only one possible explanation: the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, perhaps even including the United States itself.
"Shoot it down! Repeat, its launch was not authorized!" Hill ordered urgently, but it was already too late.
The scene shifted. Nick Fury chased after it, holding a rocket launcher. He aimed and fired, blowing up the plane with a single shot.
The plane exploded in flames, its takeoff aborted, nearly sliding off the deck.
And at this moment, another plane shot off with lightning speed, leaving Nick Fury unable to catch up.
Clearly, it was a backup plan, ensuring the ultimate goal would be achieved.
Captain America Rogers watched with a grave expression. As a veteran of many battles, he understood what was happening. It was likely a result of Nick Fury disobeying orders, which led to his removal from the battlefield.
This was a very serious crime in the military. Armed forces feared insubordination above all else.
Tony Stark's expression was equally grim as he said, "Lin Feng's diary mentioned me carrying a nuclear bomb. Could it be... that plane has a nuclear bomb on board?"
As Tony Stark spoke, he immediately realized the connection, "This is definitely related to a nuclear bomb."
"Are they insane? That's New York! They're going to bomb New York?"
Hawkeye Barton jumped in shock at this realization. The most critical part was, he was still in New York, still fighting, what did this mean?

Plus, he was capable and had extensive connections, making it almost impossible for him to be fired, but now this had happened.
"The situation must have reached a point of no return. Humanity is even using nuclear weapons!"
Black Widow Natasha said with a grave expression.
The fact that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s aircraft were mobilized indicated this was the collective will of humanity's highest echelons, including the US government. They wouldn't give such an order unless there was no hope of winning.
