The sun lazily filters through the leaves of the trees as Chinomo kneels in the garden next to Amia. He helps her gather herbs for dinner, carefully separating the leaves from the roots. His hand trembles slightly, and the cool air pierces his skin—a demon, yet he still feels pain.
"Chinomo, be careful not to crush those leaves!" Amia laughs, hitting him on the shoulder. "As usual, you're not listening! We use those leaves to make this delicious sweet sauce."
While Amia thinks about the sauce Chinomo turns away for a moment, captivated by something moving in the distance. A shadow flits across the horizon, black as pitch. "Hey... what's that?" he mutters, staring intently.
"Chinomo!" Amia hits him on the head to bring him back to reality. "Why are you getting distracted again...?"She stops, looking at the boy. "I'll show you something, just don't get distracted this time."She pulls a flower out of the ground—an intense blood-red spider lily. The petals are so dark that they almost seem to suck in the light around them."Beautiful, isn't it?" says Amia, her eyes sparkling.
Chinomo sees his sister looking at this beautiful flower and knows that she is lost in thought again. He smiles slightly, even though his hand suddenly catches on a stone and cuts itself. Red blood immediately stains the ground."Ouch..." he hisses, clenching his fingers.
Amia rushes over immediately, gently wiping his wound.
"You know, even demons bleed sometimes, Chinomo. It's a reminder to be careful, even in the garden when picking herbs."
Their mother comes out of the kitchen, handing them bowls of soup.
"What are you doing standing in the garden for so long?!" she shouts, frowning. "You're late for dinner!"
After lunch, Amia disappeared on a hunt. She returned an hour later, dragging behind her... a bear as big as a tree."I know we're stronger than humans," Chinomo murmurs, admiring his sister's strength. "But... how did you manage to hunt him down without a scratch?"He looks at his sister with a black cloud at her side, slowly dissipating in the wind.
"Heh, I hope you know that's normal for demons," Amia smiles. "But I'm worried about you. Does everything hurt you so much, Chinomo?"
"I'm joking..." he says, but there is concern in his eyes. "I just want you to take care of yourself."
"In that case, I'll show you how you can be as strong as me," said Amia, standing proudly in front of the house.
At that moment, Chinomo's eyes lit up, he smiled and ran out of the house to his sister, shouting, "Show me, show me!"
Amia took her younger brother in one hand and sat him on a huge bear in front of the house and asked him, "Do you know what reiki is?"
Chinomo looked at her proudly and replied, "Reiki is the power sent to us by the ancient god who created the seven dimensions and all beings in the world."
- She replied well, and do you know what types of reiki there are? She looked at her brother's confused face and said, "There are seven types of reiki: fire, water, earth, wind, light, darkness, and reiki from a bowl." She looked at her brother's interested face and continued - Reiki from the bowl is unique, no one knows what type of Reiki they will get, it's a matter of luck, but there are countless types, most of which I can't even explain to you, but our mom has a friend who has Reiki bones, cool, right?
Then Chinomo said "I also want reiki from the bowl, can you tell me more about this?. He jumped off the bear, but his sister caught him and said.
"Well, I'll tell you that people may not be as strong as us, but they can be born with one of six types of reiki, unlike us, who are born only with the dark type of reiki." Ami and Chinomo's eyes met as she carried him home in her arms.
And Chinomo asked, "Why are we born with only one type of reiki?"
Ami looked surprised, then started laughing and said, "You idiot, it's because we're not human and we live in a dimension of darkness, an abyss of the unborn, but that's all for today, go to sleep now," she said, laying him on the bed.
Night falls faster than usual. The shadows in the darkness seem to grow, and the air thickens. From afar, sounds that should not be there can be heard. Chinomo cannot sleep. Something disturbing is approaching their village.Chinomo For a moment, he feels as if the black silhouette from the horizon in the morning is standing right next to him again. His heart races. Something is coming. And it's not just a threat... it's the beginning of a nightmare that even demons cannot predict.
