Chapter 105 - The end that gave birth to the beginning

Seirion maintained his invisibility as he moved along the temple's side corridor, his mind trapped in an unease he couldn't make sense of.

Erian wasn't with the priestesses or the high priest, and most alarming of all was that his essence was weakening at the edges of Seirion's divine perception, as if it were slipping beyond his reach.

Confusion struck Seirion hard. On the night of their date, he had completely stopped sensing Erian, then he had perceived him again and now that presence was fading once more, without explanation.

To Seirion, it made no sense.

The instability of that connection unsettled him more than the chaos in the temple, because he couldn't understand what was happening or why Erian seemed to appear and disappear

When he reached the main hall, Seirion could clearly see several villagers rampaging through the interior of the temple, shoving columns, knocking over candelabras, and destroying everything in their path.
