Chapter 64 - Familiar yet strange

Erian remained on the ground. The sand clung to his skin and clothes. His face burned with shame, and sweat slid down his forehead. He didn't know where to look or how to react.

The red-haired man took a step forward, shrugging with careless ease.

"We found something entertaining to pass the time. I mean… one of his admirers snuck in."

The redhead gestured vaguely toward the black-haired man.

From the ground, with the sun blazing above them, Erian could barely make out either of their faces. Everything was drenched in shadow and light, figures cut out against the brilliance of noon.

He squinted, trying to catch an expression, a detail that would help him judge the situation, but it was useless.

The only thing he noticed was that the black-haired man's posture shifted slightly, a silent warning to the redhead.

The redhead immediately raised his voice in exaggerated indignation.

"I'm just telling the truth! This kid was spying on us!"
