Chapter 76: Terumi Mei's Defeat (Part 5)

"I'm done for!" The young man looked at the vast sea in front of him, his face filled with despair. With nowhere to go and pursuers behind him, he was trapped.

"Don't resist. I won't kill you," Scallop's voice echoed.

The young man was a Konoha spy who had fled the Village Hidden in the Mist with information. The best way to deal with him was to capture him alive, extract the memories from his mind, and obtain valuable intelligence.

"You won't succeed!" The young man's face showed his readiness to die.

"Hmph, it's not that easy," Scallop knew he wanted to end his life and instantly appeared in front of him.

Huh? A sandbag-sized fist suddenly appeared in Scallop's vision. Then, he felt himself flying through the air. His body landed like a cannonball.

Boom! The ground cracked with him at the center, and dust flew everywhere. The young man's eyes widened. This sudden turn of events was bewildering. He instinctively turned his head and saw Tsunade standing not far away, her jacket with the character "賭" (gamble) on it fluttering in the wind.

"Lady... Lady Tsunade?!" The young man recognized her, and his face lit up with the ecstasy of having survived a great calamity.

It's actually Tsunade? Is the information I brought so important? The young man didn't understand, but he knew he was alive.

"Follow me." Tsunade turned and walked towards the forest. She was a little worried about Hanekawa fighting two opponents. The young man quickly followed.

Soon, Tsunade arrived at the battlefield. She stopped, her heart filled with surprise. The situation was much better than she had imagined. Hanekawa had actually gained the advantage in a fight against a chunin and a special jonin. Tsunade smiled, a look of pride on her face. He's truly my student.

The next second, she frowned slightly. It wasn't because Hanekawa was losing; it was because she had sensed someone nearby. Tsunade was deep in thought. It seemed the other party had the same goal as her: to train a genius from their own village, and they had coincidentally bumped into each other. This is a bit troublesome now. If it came to a real fight, she wasn't afraid, but she had two liabilities with her.

In the forest, the battle was about to change again. Although Hanekawa had just stunned Terumi Mei, she quickly returned to normal.

Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu! She quickly made hand seals, and her chakra quickly surged. But just as it reached her throat, Hanekawa was already in front of her.

"Too slow!" Hanekawa said, gripping his sword with both hands and striking at her. Terumi Mei's hand seal speed was actually not slow. But in the face of his body flicker jutsu and 100% leg strength bonus, it wasn't fast enough.

Just then, a terrifying sound sliced through the air, like a meteorite falling into the ocean. Hanekawa's expression stiffened. He saw a gigantic sword coming toward him. The blade was almost twice his height. Due to its distinctive features, Hanekawa recognized the sword.

The Kubikiribocho! In the original story, it was Momochi Zabuza's sword, and before him, it was Suigetsu's.

This is bad! I've become a stand-in! Hanekawa realized that he had become like Naruto Uzumaki, encountering a jonin-level enemy on his first mission. However, Naruto's was a C-rank mission, while his was a B-rank one.

A graceful figure appeared. Tsunade stood in front of Hanekawa and threw a punch. The Kubikiribocho immediately bounced back.

"As expected of Princess Tsunade," a young man walked out and caught the Kubikiribocho, his arm feeling a little numb. He had short black hair, a cross-shaped scar on his right cheek, and red stripes on the lower half of his face.

"Suigetsu," Tsunade said, grabbing Terumi Mei with one hand. Terumi Mei struggled for a bit before giving up. However, she was still untamed, glaring at Hanekawa with a fierce look.

"What are you looking at?" Hanekawa wasn't afraid of her at all. He reached out and, under her furious gaze, patted her head.

"This is the treatment for the loser," Hanekawa said with a grin. He could finally pat someone else's head!

"You bastard! You'll pay for this!" Terumi Mei's body trembled with anger. If Tsunade hadn't been holding her, she would have bitten him.

"Oh yeah?" Hanekawa raised an eyebrow and, looking left and right, took her wallet. "You believe me... "

He hadn't finished his sentence when Terumi Mei fell silent. Because she felt that this guy could definitely do something even more despicable.

"Princess Tsunade, let's make a deal. You return her to us, and I'll let you leave," Suigetsu looked at Terumi Mei and said, "Although you are powerful, we have the numbers. If we fight, you won't be able to protect the other two."

As he spoke, a group of Anbu from the Village Hidden in the Mist appeared nearby. As for the stolen information, a chunin couldn't get any particularly important intelligence. If it weren't for Terumi Mei's training, they wouldn't have been there.

"Deal," Tsunade agreed without much thought.

"Thank you for your cooperation," Suigetsu said, holding out his hand. "Please."

"You two go first," Tsunade said, looking at Hanekawa and the injured intelligence agent.

"Yes." Hanekawa hesitated, but seeing Tsunade's eyes, he knew there was no room for negotiation. The two of them turned and ran toward the coast. Tsunade stood in place, waiting. Suigetsu, Cod, and the others kept their word and did not pursue them.

"It seems this girl is quite important to you," Tsunade said, glancing at Terumi Mei. "Her performance just now was indeed not bad."

"The same goes for you," Suigetsu said, squinting. "Princess Tsunade, your student also performed exceptionally well."

"Here you go," Tsunade said, casually throwing Terumi Mei back and then vanishing without a trace. Cod quickly went forward.

"I'm fine," Terumi Mei landed on her feet, standing firm. She looked towards the coast, her face a mix of emotions.

"His name is Hanekawa, Tsunade's student, and he's quite famous in Konoha," Suigetsu said with a sinister smile. "It's not a shame to lose to him."

Hanekawa? Terumi Mei clenched her fists. I'll remember you! You damn bastard! She vowed to get her revenge for the humiliation she had suffered today.

On a boat by the sea, Hanekawa was feeling a little anxious. He didn't relax until he saw Tsunade.

"Let's go," Tsunade said, boarding the boat. "Our objective has been completed, there's no need to entangle with them."

She left one thing unsaid. Given their emphasis on Terumi Mei, killing her might cause a war between the Village Hidden in the Mist and the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Village Hidden in the Mist's strength was not on par with the Village Hidden in the Leaves, so it wasn't a big deal, but she was afraid that the Village Hidden in the Clouds would take advantage of the situation. Of course, the most important thing was Hanekawa's safety. Tsunade didn't want to put him in harm's way.

"Yes," Hanekawa nodded slightly. He naturally understood why Tsunade didn't fight.

Just then, two lines of text appeared before his eyes. Hanekawa was stunned, and then a faint joy filled his heart.

[D-rank Talent: A Lot of Water.]
