Chapter 64 - Chapter 64: You Stupid Fox

Chapter 64: You Stupid Fox

The dark, sealed space.

Uzumaki Kushina used her chakra to write characters in mid-air.

Inside the cage not far away, two gigantic eyes stared without blinking, fixed on her work.

At first, the Nine-Tails refused to watch.

You can't just tell me to watch and expect me to do it. Where would the strongest Tailed Beast's pride go?

But he couldn't stand the loneliness.

After Kushina persisted for several months, the Nine-Tails finally became engrossed in the story and couldn't stop.

Well, this is actually pretty good!

After a year of living together, the Nine-Tails grudgingly accepted Uzumaki Kushina.

After all, she had put in a lot of effort, even if she didn't have much to show for it yet.

Just then, a knock sounded.

Kushina's eyes lit up. "Big fox, we'll stop here for today. I'm going to get the door."

With that, her consciousness left the sealed space.

"Hey! Wait!"

Seeing her leave, the Nine-Tails instantly grew annoyed. "Damn it, the one thing this old man hates most is a cliffhanger!"

"Lady Tsunade? And Hanekawa?"

Kushina opened the door, her face lighting up with surprise. "Come in, quick!"

"Minato's not here again?" Tsunade glanced around, not seeing Minato Namikaze.

"He's on a mission," Kushina explained. "Ever since he learned the Flying Thunder God Jutsu, his mission load has doubled."

"The Flying Thunder God Jutsu is certainly convenient," Tsunade nodded slightly, then asked, "How's the Nine-Tails doing these days?"

"We have a great relationship now!" Kushina said excitedly, her eyes sparkling. "The Nine-Tails isn't as terrifying as I thought it would be. It's more or less like a dog!"

Tsunade's expression instantly became odd.

You're the first person to ever compare a Tailed Beast to a dog.

Even her great-grandfather, when evaluating the Nine-Tails, had simply said it was too dangerous and must be sealed.

Suddenly, an incredibly powerful aura surged forth.

Kushina was instantly covered in a blood-red cloak of Tailed Beast chakra, with two tails whipping around wildly.

"What's going on?" Tsunade reacted quickly, clenching her fists and asking with a serious tone.

"It's nothing, nothing," Kushina waved her hand. "It's just mad at me for calling it a dog, so it's protesting."

"..."

Tsunade remained silent.

This was completely different from what she knew as the embodiment of evil.

"I remember today is the first day of school. Hanekawa, how do you have time to come over?" Kushina asked, retracting her two tails.

She could now control her tails, or her half-Tailed Beast state, with ease.

"He just thought the old man was too long-winded and didn't want to listen," Tsunade said, recovering and smiling.

"I totally agree!" Kushina said excitedly, as if she had found a kindred spirit.

Hanekawa remembered.

Uzumaki Kushina wasn't some sweet, obedient girl. She was similar to Tsunade, with a violent streak.

She was just more reserved in front of them.

"It's still too early for dinner. Let's play some cards," Tsunade said, revealing her true intentions after the pleasantries were over.

Hanekawa shook his head helplessly.

I knew it.

"Huh?" Kushina suddenly looked surprised. "The Nine-Tails says it wants to play cards too."

"You're on!" Tsunade was stunned for a moment, then agreed with great interest.

The thought of playing cards with the Nine-Tails sounded hilarious.

"But the Nine-Tails is in the sealed space, how is it going to play?" Tsunade thought of a problem.

The next second, two tails appeared again, and under the Nine-Tails' control, they formed ten fingers.

"Alright, let's do this!" Tsunade rotated her wrist. "I've never beaten a Tailed Beast before."

The three people and one fox sat down at the table.

"What kind of game should we play?" Kushina asked, holding a deck of cards. "The rules should be simple so the Nine-Tails can understand quickly."

"This old man is a genius! I can understand any rules!" the Nine-Tails roared in anger, its two outer tails flailing.

"I have a new game," Hanekawa said, raising his hand. "It's called... Ghost Card Poker."

He had originally thought to suggest the Chinese game Doudizhu, but it would be difficult to explain, so he changed it to Ghost Card Poker instead.

"Well, tell us the rules then," Kushina said, shuffling the cards.

"It's like this," Hanekawa explained the rules of Doudizhu from his previous life.

"But that's for three people, isn't it?" Kushina asked when he was done.

"I'm not playing," Hanekawa said, shaking his head.

"That works," Kushina didn't object. "Kids shouldn't be gambling anyway."

"Sit next to me," Tsunade suddenly said.

Since Hanekawa had started coming over, she had never won a game of cards at Kushina's house.

Now that he wasn't playing, she could use her "cheat code."

Hanekawa, of course, knew what she was thinking. He got up and sat next to her.

"Move closer," Tsunade said, looking at him.

Hanekawa shifted his seat, his body pressing against hers.

Even through their clothes, he could feel the softness of her skin, especially her full, fleshy thighs.

"You two have such a good relationship as sensei and student," Kushina said with a sigh.

The game officially began.

"Big fox, don't play that! I'm on your team!"

"Your card skills are terrible!"

"Shut up, you stupid fox!"

Kushina's furious voice kept ringing out.

Tsunade's luck was being neutralized by Hanekawa.

Combined with the Nine-Tails as a terrible teammate, Kushina was losing more than she was winning.

"Calm down," Hanekawa said, pouring Kushina a cup of... coffee.

"Nine-Tails? Nothing special at all!" Kushina said after taking a sip.

The two tails next to her twitched, but she shot them a fierce glare.

The tails immediately drooped, looking completely miserable.

Hanekawa wanted to laugh but didn't dare.

In the original story, after the Nine-Tails and Naruto's relationship improved, its true personality was revealed. It was a little tsundere.

All in all, it wasn't malicious, more like a Husky.

[E-rank talent 'Smooth Talker' has leveled up.]

[Sealing speed has increased by 30% from its original value.]

Hanekawa let out a soft sound of surprise.

Did it level up because of the Nine-Tails?

Regardless, it was a good thing.

After all, sealing speed was extremely important for a ninja.

After lunch, Hanekawa and Tsunade left Kushina's house.

"I want to learn the Body Flicker Jutsu this afternoon," Hanekawa said on the way home.

The Body Flicker Jutsu wasn't difficult. He hadn't learned it before because he was waiting to complete the C-rank talent 'Medical Chunin.'

Now, with just the Body Flicker Jutsu left, he could synthesize the C-rank talent 'Quick as Wind,' which would then combine to form the B-rank talent 'Impulse Healing.'

"Fine," Tsunade said.

She had planned to go to a casino that afternoon, but since Hanekawa wanted to learn the jutsu, she had to give it up for now.

The two returned home but didn't go inside.

Outside, Tsunade began to talk about the Body Flicker Jutsu.

The Body Flicker Jutsu, in short, was a way to move at high speeds.

There were many types.

The most basic Body Flicker Jutsu was only a D-rank difficulty.

Moving up, there were Body Flicker Jutsus that incorporated nature transformations, such as Water Flicker, Mist Flicker, and Lightning Flicker.

The highest rank was a space-time ninjutsu, like the Flying Thunder God Jutsu.

Hanekawa, of course, was learning the simplest version.
