Chapter 53: Teacher, Take Off Your Shoes
"That's all for today's class. Don't forget to do your homework when you get home." Ichiirō picked up his textbook and turned to leave.
"Ah! School's out!"
"Yay!"
"Let's go play a game!"
The classroom immediately erupted in cheers.
Kurenai Yūhi ignored them, grabbed her school bag, and ran to Hoshikawa.
But when she turned around, she saw Asuma Sarutobi.
"What are you doing?" Kurenai Yūhi snorted softly. "Don't follow me."
"You misunderstood, I'm looking for Hoshikawa," Asuma Sarutobi said seriously.
"Are you going to fight him again?" Kurenai Yūhi asked with a look of dissatisfaction.
"No," Asuma Sarutobi shook his head. "I'm looking for him to train."
"Huh?" Kurenai Yūhi was stunned and let out a surprised sound.
She clearly couldn't understand Asuma Sarutobi's sudden change, as if he was a different person.
"He really is looking for me," Hoshikawa said, patting Kurenai Yūhi's head. "Let's go train."
"Okay," Kurenai Yūhi replied.
Although she didn't understand what was going on, she was sure Hoshikawa had his reasons for doing this.
"..." Asuma Sarutobi looked at the two of them being so close and sighed inwardly.
He couldn't compare to Hoshikawa, so he had no choice but to give up on Kurenai Yūhi.
This was probably the price of growing up.
The six-year-old Asuma Sarutobi felt like he had aged considerably.
"Kakashi," Rin Nohara said, tidying up her desk. "Where are you going after class?"
"He's definitely going to train," Obito Uchiha said, answering for him. "Rin, let's go play. Don't mind him."
"You guys go ahead," Kakashi Hatake said, getting up and walking toward Hoshikawa.
Rin Nohara noticed that he was a little different from usual and instinctively looked up.
"Is he going to spar with Hoshikawa again?" Obito Uchiha pouted. "He was beaten so badly last time..."
He stopped talking mid-sentence because he was even worse than Kakashi Hatake.
"Hoshikawa," Kakashi Hatake took a deep breath. "Can I train with you?"
"Sure," Hoshikawa was a little surprised, but he welcomed it.
Asuma Sarutobi could drop Wind Release talent.
Kakashi Hatake dropped Lightning Release and Swordsmanship talent. Compared to Asuma, he was an elite monster.
"Let's go," Hoshikawa said, leading the three of them to Tsunade's house.
The open space outside for sports equipment, while not as large as the Konoha training ground, was not crowded for four people to train together.
Kurenai Yūhi practiced her genjutsu.
Asuma Sarutobi, just like yesterday, tore off a leaf to practice his Wind Release chakra nature transformation.
"Hoshikawa," Kakashi Hatake said, drawing his short blade. "Do you want to spar?"
"Sounds good," Hoshikawa agreed readily.
He was mainly learning medical ninjutsu right now, but he hadn't neglected his genjutsu and Konoha-style swordsmanship.
"You can't use Monster Strength," Kakashi Hatake suddenly said, his face changing slightly.
If he used Monster Strength and was defeated in one move, there was no point in sparring.
"I won't," Hoshikawa said casually. "I haven't even learned Monster Strength yet. I've only just started."
"..." Kakashi Hatake's body stiffened.
He's this strong just from starting out?
Could he still beat him after he actually learned it?
"Let's change our sparring method," Hoshikawa said, taking out his katana and having an idea. "Let's fight on the trees."
"On the trees?" Kakashi Hatake came back to his senses, asking with confusion. "Why?"
"It's chakra control training," Hoshikawa said, glancing at Kurenai Yūhi. "We'll go over there."
Kakashi Hatake's heart trembled.
Sparring while controlling chakra and multitasking was a hellish difficulty.
Was this Hoshikawa's usual training method?
Kakashi Hatake's face became serious, but his eyes were filled with excitement and anticipation.
The two of them stood on the tree trunks, facing each other at an angle.
Clang!
Kakashi Hatake blocked Hoshikawa's katana.
But his focus was on the sword, causing his feet to lose their grip, and he fell.
"Again!" Kakashi Hatake gritted his teeth and climbed back up the tree.
The sound of clashing metal rang out continuously.
On this day, he suffered the biggest blow of his life.
The sun had set, and all that was left was the evening glow in the sky.
Tsunade left the casino with a gloomy face.
Without Hoshikawa, she had lost all day again.
When she got home, she was surprised to see the four of them training.
It had been a long time since it was this lively.
Tsunade's gaze fell on Hoshikawa.
His clothes were a little dirty.
Kakashi Hatake, on the other hand, was in a much more pathetic state, with bruises on his face, torn clothes, and his white hair mixed with weeds and dead leaves.
Tsunade's mouth curled slightly.
Sakumo Hatake was more famous than her.
But her student had defeated his son.
But... Hoshikawa used Konoha-style swordsmanship, which had nothing to do with her.
It seems she still needed to teach him Monster Strength as soon as possible.
Tsunade then looked at Asuma Sarutobi, feeling a little surprised.
Didn't he have a problem with Hoshikawa?
Why was he here?
Tsunade suddenly remembered a phrase from Hiruzen Sarutobi: "Hoshikawa's Will of Fire is very strong."
She snorted softly and walked into the house.
"I'm done," Hoshikawa said, noticing Tsunade not far away, and putting some distance between himself and Kakashi Hatake.
"Why?" Kakashi Hatake asked, his grip on his short blade tightening.
He had lost too badly today and didn't want to stop yet.
"I'm hungry," Hoshikawa said, putting his katana away with a smile. "It's time for everyone to go home and eat."
"..." Kakashi Hatake wanted to say something but held back.
Shouldn't training be so immersive that you forget to eat and sleep?
"See you tomorrow." Hoshikawa didn't give him a chance to speak and ran into the living room.
"You're done?" Tsunade asked, leaning back on the sofa in a lazy manner.
"Yep," Hoshikawa said, glancing at her. "Teacher, why didn't you take off your shoes?"
"I forgot," Tsunade said nonchalantly. "Go make dinner."
"You should take off your shoes first," Hoshikawa said, shaking his head.
"You're so annoying," Tsunade said, giving him a look. She still didn't want to move. "You do it."
"No thanks," Hoshikawa raised an eyebrow. "What if they smell?"
"What did you say?" Tsunade immediately sat up, her beautiful eyes glaring at him, and a terrifying aura surged out of her.
"You've been wearing them all day. Wouldn't there be an odor?" Hoshikawa said, completely unafraid.
"Of course not!" Tsunade said, gritting her teeth. "I have the Strength of a Hundred Seal. Don't believe me? Smell it!"
She said, then lifted her leg.
Her capri pants stopped at her calf, revealing her delicate ankle.
Her fair feet were hidden in her high-heeled sandals, and her five toes were lined up, pale and rosy, looking very plump.
"I'll pass," Hoshikawa said, quickly refusing.
"Come here!" Tsunade said, clenching her fist.
"..." Hoshikawa turned and ran.
But the next second, he felt a blur and crashed into a soft body.
"Brat!" Tsunade said, trapping him with her leg and looking fierce. "Today, I'm going to teach you what it means to respect your teacher!"
She then reached out and messed up Hoshikawa's hair.
