One thing I've learned after so many years of working closely with Zane was how insanely ambitious and ruthless he was. He was a man with greed with boundless limits that has never laid back for anyone whatsoever — but despite his talents, ambitions and hard work, he had one flaw he'd never care to admit he had.
Allison. He doesn't see it, but that bitch was nothing more than a parasite slowly eating away at his existence; he could be so much more if he wasn't enamoured by that bitch. And this had nothing to do with my attraction toward him — which I'd long buried after meeting Richard. I could almost taste bitterness in the memory of it, like stale perfume lingering in an empty room.
