Chapter 262 - Declaration of the Fourth Great Ninja War

Chapter 262 – Declaration of the Fourth Great Ninja War

"We've found him, Boss," C said loudly.

"Move," the Raikage said without a second thought, then immediately dashed off.

"Sister-in-law, Danzo has escaped," Kakashi said.

"It doesn't matter. Ignore him. After losing Uchiha Shisui's eye, he won't be able to cause any major trouble anymore," Tsunade said calmly.

"You should also go after the Raikage and see what's going on. Even though I don't like that brat, since he's someone your older brother values, at the very least, protect his life," Tsunade added.

"Yes," Kakashi replied, then quickly followed after them.

In truth, Kakashi didn't want Sasuke to die either. After all, Sasuke wasn't just a member of his friend's clan—he was also his own student.

"Tsunade-hime, what you said just now doesn't seem to match what you promised the Raikage, does it?" Mei Terumi said with a playful smile.

"If the Raikage can kill him right in front of Kakashi, I won't interfere. But if he can't do it, that's another matter," Tsunade replied.

"Are you playing the Raikage?" the Tsuchikage asked.

"Oh? Tsuchikage-sama misunderstands. My husband has a fairly good personal relationship with the Raikage. How could I possibly be playing him?" Tsunade said.

The moment the word "husband" was spoken, Ōnoki fell silent.

He understood better than anyone just how terrifying that man was. He had personally experienced it in the past.

Among everyone here, the person he feared most was Hatake Yusuke. Especially considering that back then, Hatake Yusuke had only been fourteen or fifteen years old and hadn't even reached the peak of his strength.

"Hmph," Mei Terumi snorted coldly. Seeing the happiness written all over Tsunade's face made an unpleasant feeling rise in her heart.

Meanwhile, the Raikage had already found Sasuke.

He didn't waste a single word. The moment they met, there was only one thing—violence. The essence of a barbaric warrior was displayed without restraint.

Even when Sasuke's Amaterasu flames had already spread across Susanoo, the Raikage didn't care in the slightest. Even if it meant losing one of his legs, he intended to kick Sasuke to death.

"Liger Bomb!"

The attack slammed down from above. If Gaara hadn't blocked it with sand, Sasuke would have died on the spot—and the Raikage would have been crippled for life.

The Raikage looked at his right arm, still engulfed in black flames, then without hesitation severed it himself. Throughout the entire process, his expression never changed.

Gaara had come here to persuade Sasuke to let go of his hatred. But how could Sasuke possibly listen? Right now, Danzo was the only thing on his mind.

Seeing that Sasuke couldn't be reasoned with, the Raikage and Gaara attacked together. At that moment, the power of Sasuke's eyes erupted once more.

A gigantic skeletal figure emerged, blocking their assault.

"Sasuke, Danzo isn't here," Karin said.

Hearing that, Sasuke immediately ran toward the location of the Five Kage Summit.

"Sasuke… you really have grown," Kakashi said softly, nodding as he watched Sasuke flee.

The moment Sasuke appeared before Tsunade, he was stopped by Mifune. Sasuke instantly activated Susanoo and sent Mifune flying with a single strike.

Mifune had intended to draw his sword and fight back, but when he saw Kakashi hidden in the shadows shaking his head, he chose not to pursue it further.

Sasuke tried to leave, but Mei Terumi, already in a bad mood, had no intention of letting him go. She immediately used her Kekkei Genkai to block his path.

"Uchiha Sasuke, you're underestimating the Kage far too much," Mei Terumi said.

"Damn it…" Sasuke covered his eyes. The earlier fight with the Raikage had drained his pupil power far too much.

"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique."

A dense mist with extremely high acidity poured from Mei Terumi's mouth, slowly dissolving the Susanoo that enveloped Sasuke's body.

At that very moment, White Zetsu—who had already been killed by the Raikage—suddenly revived, restraining Mei Terumi while channeling chakra into Sasuke's body.

"Hmph!" Mei Terumi snorted coldly as her chakra erupted. In an instant, White Zetsu was torn to shreds.

When Ōnoki saw Sasuke's eyes, a flash of vigilance and killing intent rose in his heart.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique."

A cube-shaped barrier instantly enveloped Sasuke.

"Die," Ōnoki said, a cruel smile forming at the corner of his lips.

Kakashi, hidden in the shadows, was about to move and save Sasuke when he suddenly sensed another chakra.

"This feeling… it's so familiar," Kakashi murmured, unconsciously touching his Sharingan.

"Then again, Nii-san's blindfold isn't such a bad idea. It's just that not being able to see the road is pretty inconvenient. If only the Sharingan could see through everything," Kakashi said with a faint smile, recalling his older brother and feeling a trace of envy.

While Kakashi was lost in thought, Ōnoki was feeling pleased.

In the future, he might be able to say that he personally eliminated a ninja who could have reached the level of Uchiha Madara.

However, reality clearly didn't go the way he hoped.

A man wearing a spiral mask appeared before everyone, carrying the unconscious Sasuke.

The Raikage, who had just returned, attacked without hesitation. But his body passed straight through the masked man, just like before.

The masked man then transferred Sasuke into the Kamui space, and right in front of everyone, he also absorbed Karin into Kamui.

"What exactly is your goal?" Ōnoki asked, staring at the masked man.

"To revive the Ten-Tails, then spread Genjutsu across the entire world, so the world can achieve true peace," the masked man said loudly.

"Ten-Tails?" Many people looked confused.

"That's right. As long as you hand over the Nine-Tails and the Eight-Tails," Obito said.

"Impossible!"

"Then I declare it here," the masked man said as he stood tall. "The Fourth Great Ninja War has begun."

"You're serious?" Ōnoki asked, frowning deeply.

Kakashi, still hidden in the shadows, stared at the masked man as the sense of familiarity grew stronger. Without thinking too much, he swung his blade in a single slash.

But the slash passed straight through the man's body, just like with the Raikage earlier.

"Sharingan no Kakashi," the masked man said, looking at Kakashi. A trace of hidden hatred flickered in his eyes before he forcibly suppressed it.

"Uchiha Madara? My older brother often mentioned your name," Kakashi said, staring at Uchiha Obito. "This time, let's test each other."

"Fight me? That's fine, but not now," Obito replied. "What really surprises me is that I didn't expect someone outside the clan to use the Sharingan to this level. Kakashi, you're not bad."

He knew very well that in his current condition, he was no match for Kakashi. Even though Kakashi couldn't kill him either, dragging out the fight served no purpose.

"Are you afraid?" Kakashi asked.

"Kid, with just your level of strength, you're not qualified to be my opponent. Have your older brother come—only then might you be worthy," Obito said as he looked at Kakashi.

If Hatake Yusuke were here, he would definitely say one thing: don't act too full of yourself—arrogance invites disaster.

"Oh? You're very confident," Kakashi said, studying Obito with interest. "But with your strength, you'll never be able to defeat my older brother. He's invincible. Even I don't consider you my opponent. You're far too weak."

"Brat, if not for the injuries I suffered fighting Hashirama that still haven't healed, neither you nor your older brother would be able to stand against me at all," Obito replied.

"Your words aren't convincing in the slightest," Kakashi said coldly. "And one more thing—personally, I believe my current strength is no weaker than the First Hokage back then. Even at your peak, you wouldn't dare say with certainty that you could surpass me. Especially my older brother. So tell me… who are you, really?"

"Kakashi, I already told you. Now is not the time for us to fight," Obito said.

His body began to distort, and soon after, he disappeared from everyone's sight.

"Who exactly is he?" Kakashi muttered, rubbing his chin. "Why does he feel so familiar? And yet, I clearly don't know him."

"It doesn't matter," Kakashi thought. "After all, he really is that weak. Next time we meet… killing him will just be a matter of doing it."
