Chapter 257 - Yusuke Gets Scolded

Chapter 253 — Yusuke Gets Scolded

"Let's go, let's go. What are you all spacing out for?" Yusuke said as he looked at everyone who seemed frozen in place.

"Nii-san, are you sure that was really swordsmanship?" Kakashi asked, disbelief written all over his face.

"Of course. That's why, Kakashi, you still need to train much harder," Yusuke replied.

"I feel like even if I trained for my entire life, I still wouldn't be able to reach that level…" Kakashi muttered, looking extremely displeased.

"You brat, losing confidence just because of that? Let me tell you something—this level is nothing more than a simple slash for me." Yusuke looked at Kakashi as he spoke. And this was something he did while his power was still sealed and he wasn't even using his full physical strength.

"Are you a monster or something?" Kakashi asked in shock.

"I already told you—you're just too weak right now." Yusuke rolled his eyes.

Kakashi didn't argue. He had never expected that, in the swordsmanship he had always taken pride in, he would be so thoroughly outclassed.

Yusuke then used his ability to bring Kakashi back to the Hatake residence, while Tsunade and the others all wore rather unpleasant expressions.

"Oh? Judging from your faces, it seems you failed," Yusuke said as he rubbed his chin.

"Yes, those stubborn old men really won't listen to reason," Tsunade said, frowning. If she weren't the Hokage, she would've already beaten those elders long ago.

"In that case, it'll be easier to deal with. Right, Father?" Yusuke said as he looked at Hatake Sakumo.

"Indeed. The Hyuga clan elders deserve to be taught a lesson." Clearly, Sakumo also didn't have a good impression of the Hyuga elders.

"Father, Nii-san—let me handle this." Kakashi said with a dark expression. It was a perfect opportunity to vent his frustration.

"Well then… it's been a while since I've made a move myself." Sakumo rubbed his chin.

"I don't mind either," Yusuke said with a casual wave of his hand.

"Then tomorrow, I'll go with Father," Kakashi said.

"Alright. But I want to watch as well," Yusuke added with a faint smile, clearly interested in the matter.

Tsunade nodded. If Yusuke got involved, things would become troublesome. Even without using any special abilities, he could alter the weather permanently.

Everyone returned home and rested.

"Hinata, you are the future heiress of the Hyuga clan. How could you possibly marry Uzumaki Naruto? His background is nowhere near worthy of yours, and our clan will never allow the Hyuga bloodline to be spread outside so easily," said the Hyuga Clan's Grand Elder.

"Elders, regarding Hinata, it's best not to make decisions too early. You should at least understand that Naruto is the nephew of Hatake Yusuke and Hatake Kakashi," Hyuga Hiashi said, staring at the stubborn elders.

"And what of it? Even if Hatake Yusuke and Kakashi are strong, they're still merely Konoha shinobi. I don't believe they would dare lay a hand on the Hyuga clan," the Second Elder said dismissively.

"Hmph. The elders are underestimating Hatake Yusuke far too much," one of the branch family members said quietly.

"To us, he's nothing but a child. Even if he's stronger than the White Fang of the past, so what? Didn't Uchiha Madara himself, during the early days of Konoha, still get restrained by rules?" another elder scoffed.

"Hinata, what do you think?" Hiashi asked, looking at his daughter.

"I like Naruto-kun." Hinata no longer showed her usual timid demeanor. Instead, she answered firmly.

"Hmph. Hiashi, is this how you educate your daughter?" the Grand Elder growled.

"Grand Elder, how I raise my daughter is my concern. I've said what needs to be said. I hope you can bear the consequences of angering the Hatake clan," Hiashi said coldly. Then he left with Hinata.

"Brother… Hatake Yusuke is no ordinary person," one of the elders said nervously.

"And so what? The Hyuga clan is the largest clan in Konoha, and the current Hokage is Lady Tsunade. I refuse to believe she would allow him to do as he pleases," the Grand Elder replied dismissively.

"Besides, with the Hyuga clan's foundation, we have nothing to fear," the Second Elder added.

The night passed without further words.

The next morning, the three Hatake—father and sons—and Toneri arrived at the Hyuga compound.

"White Fang-senpai, you've arrived." The Hyuga members greeted Sakumo with respect.

"No need to be too formal, Hyuga Clan Head. We're here to discuss Hinata's engagement," Yusuke said.

"Very well. Someone, call the elders," Hiashi instructed.

Soon enough, the Hyuga elders arrived before the Hatake family.

The five elders stared at the three Hatake with arrogance, saying nothing.

"Sakumo, did you come here bringing your son to propose marriage to the Hyuga clan's daughter?" one of the elders asked, as if mocking them. The wording sounded polite, but the tone was anything but.

"Hmph. Absolutely not. Hatake Sakumo, the rules of the Hyuga clan were created by our ancestors. Even if the Hokage comes here personally, she has no authority to interfere," the Second Elder said with a disdainful snort.

"In that case… it seems I can only use my hands," Kakashi said as he stood up, a murderous aura spreading toward the elders.

"Kakashi, don't be rough," Yusuke said calmly.

"Yes, Nii-san." Kakashi stepped back, though he clearly didn't understand why Yusuke stopped him.

"The elders are senior figures. How could we possibly act disrespectfully? We're all civilized people, after all," Yusuke said with a faint smile as he slowly walked forward.

"I am Hatake Yusuke, the eldest son of the Hatake clan. If my younger brother behaved rudely earlier, I hope the elders won't take offense," Yusuke said politely.

"Hmph." The Grand Elder scoffed, glaring at Yusuke with clear hostility.

"It would be terrible if you died from anger, you know," Yusuke said with a smile.

Everyone initially thought Yusuke was trying to smooth things over—

but instead…

Still smiling, Yusuke suddenly kicked the Grand Elder, slamming him to the ground before stepping on his face.

"You rotten old fool, do you think you have the right to talk like that to my father? Trash like you dares to raise your voice at him?" Yusuke's gaze turned icy.

"Y-You bastard! How dare you! Someone, seize him!" the Second Elder finally shouted after snapping out of his shock.

"Tch." Many Hyuga members cursed inwardly. They had wanted to scold these elders for a long time.

"Oh? It's been a while since someone scolded me. And to think I wasn't even planning to kill anyone today," Yusuke said casually as he pointed his finger toward the Second Elder's shoulder.

"Laser."

A beam of light shot out, piercing the Second Elder's shoulder cleanly.

"Kakashi, move. Anyone who tries to resist—break their bodies," Yusuke said in an indifferent tone.

He then sat down in the Grand Elder's chair, his foot still pressing down on the Grand Elder and the injured Second Elder. The remaining three elders didn't dare move an inch. Living comfortably without any real combat experience had left them with no courage to speak.

"Hatake—"

"Hyuga Clan Head, don't speak. I'm in a very bad mood right now. If you don't want the Hyuga clan wiped out, sit quietly and watch Kakashi do his work," Yusuke said, smiling faintly.

Hearing that, Hiashi's face instantly turned pale. He knew that even a single word of protest could get him killed in the next second. Even if Yusuke wouldn't kill him for Hinata's sake, he could still end up in the same state as the two elders beneath Yusuke's feet.
