Chapter 205 – Quarrel
"Hmph! So you're just going to sit there and let those old geezers push me around? I've been treated unfairly every single day!" Tsunade exclaimed, wiping the corner of her eyes as her tone turned both angry and teary.
"They wouldn't dare," Hatake Yusuke replied with a faint smirk.
He knew her all too well. Tsunade wasn't the kind of woman who would ever let herself be trampled on—especially not without consequences.
"I don't care! I want a child! I want you to serve me every single day!" Tsunade snapped, her frustration shifting into playful mischief as she pouted.
Realizing that acting pitiful wasn't working, she resorted to her usual teasing charm. It was half an act, but this time, she even used the excuse of wanting a child to corner him. Originally, she hadn't planned on having one anytime soon—but seeing how busy Yusuke had been lately, she started thinking it might not be such a bad idea after all. Besides, she was getting tired of being Hokage.
"I'm guessing the second part is your real motive," Yusuke said, rolling his eyes.
"I don't care! I don't want to be Hokage anymore. You can take the title instead," Tsunade said firmly, staring straight into his eyes.
"That's not happening, Tsunade. You know that position doesn't suit me," Yusuke replied, waving his hand dismissively.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" she asked impatiently.
"Well," he said after a brief pause, "once Kakashi's back, I'll talk to him. That kid's got both the brains and the strength to be Hokage."
Deep down, Yusuke knew if he didn't find a way out soon, he'd be doomed today.
So, with the mindset of "better my little brother than me," he decided to throw his dear younger brother under the carriage.
Besides, to a swordsman like him, the idea of becoming Hokage—managing paperwork and politics—was a fate worse than death.
"I've already tried convincing him in a softer way, but he's just as uninterested as you are. Honestly, you two are hopeless," Tsunade said, letting out an exasperated sigh.
"Being Hokage is supposed to be every ninja's dream. But in our family, no one wants it. Isn't that ironic?" Tsunade laughed bitterly. "Kurenai used to admire me so much. But now, whenever she looks at me, I can see it in her eyes—pity. Can you imagine? Once, I was the idol of every kunoichi, including Kurenai. Now she feels sorry for me because I'm the Hokage."
Even the Hatake family—father and both sons—had no interest in the position. And as for Tsunade, she only became Hokage because she was pressured into it, not because she truly wanted it.
"Don't worry, Tsunade. If he dares to refuse, I'll just show him why roses are red," Yusuke said with a grin, cracking his knuckles loudly.
"You? Please. You won't even let me fight half the time," Tsunade scoffed, folding her arms.
"Right now, your strength's just a little above Kakashi's," Yusuke teased.
Although Tsunade hadn't trained much lately due to her duties as Hokage, her strength had skyrocketed since Yusuke infused her with Asura's bloodline. Even without intensive training, her body and chakra reserves had continued to evolve.
Especially her endurance—her stamina and healing factor had reached terrifying levels. Her Wood Release techniques had grown far stronger than Yamato's, though still shy of Hashirama's legendary power.
Yusuke believed that was because of the Asura chakra coursing within her.
Overall, Tsunade was now much stronger than Kakashi. Her combination of Wood Release and Armament Haki made her a force to be reckoned with. If she could coat her giant Buddha statue in Haki, she could surpass even Hashirama—or stand toe to toe with a Perfect Susano'o.
In some ways, she might even surpass it. After all, Haki didn't just enhance defense—it also amplified offense, something Susano'o lacked.
"Even so, I'm still stronger than you," Tsunade countered with a sly smile. "Who was it that couldn't sleep the whole night after injuring Kakashi, then snuck into his house in the middle of the night to heal him?"
"Haha! That's because I didn't want him to skip training the next morning. I was just trying to help raise another great ninja for Konoha," Yusuke said defensively.
"Sure, sure… keep telling yourself that," Tsunade replied lazily, her face clearly saying she didn't buy it.
"How did you even know I went out that night? You were sound asleep—I made sure of it," Yusuke asked, frowning slightly.
"You idiot! Don't you dare sneak into other people's homes like that again!" Tsunade shouted, swinging her fist toward him.
In truth, Tsunade hadn't seen it herself—Shizune had. That night, Shizune had gone to check on Kakashi after hearing he'd been injured during training with Yusuke. But instead of a wounded jōnin, she'd found a shadowy figure slipping quietly into Kakashi's room.
Had Kakashi not been utterly exhausted, who knew what might've happened? Just remembering it still made Tsunade's blood boil.
"I didn't know Shizune was there! You said she was on night duty! I didn't even activate my sensory ability that time!" Yusuke said hurriedly.
"Hmph, what a brother complex," Tsunade huffed. The two of them bickered back and forth once again.

Time passed quickly—before they knew it, a month had gone by.
"Tsunade-sama, the construction of the aerial base is complete," a ninja reported respectfully.
"Well done. You may go," Tsunade replied. The ninja bowed and departed.
"So it's finally finished? Impressive," Tsunade said with a sigh of relief.
"Congratulations, Tsunade-neechan," Kurenai said with a warm smile.
"What's there to celebrate? This was everyone's work. You're part of Konoha too—you share the credit," Tsunade replied.
"I don't think I helped that much," Kurenai said shyly.
"In truth, the one who did the most was Lord Yusuke," Shizune added.
During construction, Yusuke had been invaluable. He formed the base's entire structure using the Float-Float Fruit's power and even crafted a massive outer barrier with his Silent Fruit ability.
The barrier would remain invisible as long as it wasn't directly attacked.
"Hmph, that's only because he had too much free time. So I gave him something to do," Tsunade said with mock irritation.
"Tsunade-neechan, are you still mad at him? It's been a whole month," Kurenai asked gently.
"She's right, Tsunade-sama. Lord Yusuke has worked tirelessly this past month. He practically built everything himself," Shizune said sincerely.
"Hmph, that's because he still hasn't apologized," Tsunade muttered, crossing her arms.
Of course, she wasn't truly angry anymore. It was just part of their usual silent game—a playful routine between the two.
"Hahaha! Still mad, Tsuna-chan? Look what I brought you," Yusuke said cheerfully as he entered the room, holding a beautifully wrapped package.
"Don't tell me it's just sweets again…" Tsunade huffed.
"No way! This time, it's special sake straight from the Fire Daimyo himself," Yusuke declared proudly.
"Really?" Tsunade's eyes widened, her irritation instantly fading.
Though she wasn't exactly a heavy drinker, she did enjoy a glass or two—and if it was sake from the Fire Daimyo, then it was definitely something extraordinary.
"Of course!" Yusuke replied with a confident grin.
