Chapter 79 - Studio Mascot Klee: Will You Pull for Her?

As the chat scrolled wildly across the screen, the trailer shifted to show Rita's new battlesuit in action.

If one had to sum up Lost Rosemary's fighting style in just two words… it could only be—"elegant grace."

Every attack flowed seamlessly into a graceful movement, as though Rita were dancing, her long figure moving with the poise of an enchanting sorceress. Her alluring voice carried charm, but never vulgarity.

A single laugh was enough to make hearts flutter.

[RITA!!]

[Elegant~ too elegant~]

[Mihoyo's art and music team… they've broken me, I'm crying…]

[Every normal attack feels like a dance performance!]

[What kind of god-tier art is this ahhhhh!!]

[Pulling! Whatever it costs, I'm pulling!]

[Damn you Mihoyo! You've got my wallet on lock!]

[Even a version PV is done this seriously… has the industry gotten this cutthroat?]

...

And it wasn't just the players.

Even Kiana found herself staring blankly at Rita's elegance.

Her impression of Rita had always been that of a sly, sharp woman.

Never had she imagined that with her hair down, Rita could be this captivating.

"No, no! My heart belongs to Mei only!"

"Mei~"

Kiana immediately threw herself at Mei, pouting and acting spoiled, making Mei laugh helplessly.

After streaming for a while longer, Kiana finally shut down the broadcast.

Meanwhile, the entire gaming community—online forums, social media, live-stream sites—was set ablaze.

The bittersweet yet painful story of Kiana and Mei in Chapter 17.

The sudden appearance of Genshin Impact elements within Honkai: Stormterror Dvalin, Keqing, Fischl, the Seven Archons of Teyvat, Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma…

The "Phantom Iron Rosemary" PV, teasing future chapters.

Rita's elegance.

That breathtakingly intense soundtrack.

All of it had completely taken over the gaming scene.

Clips of Kiana's livestream spread like wildfire, reaching foreign communities.

Edited, subtitled, re-uploaded—soon it was blowing up overseas too.

Whether it was the real Kiana, the upcoming Genshin Impact, or Honkai's new update, foreign Honkai players were floored—

—and hyped beyond belief.

Especially the "Phantom Iron Rosemary" PV. That music was simply too stunning.

Mihoyo's approach was jaw-dropping:

Every version has its own anime-style short.

Every version with a fully-produced promotional PV.

Top-tier visuals, top-tier music.

No other game studio had ever done this.

Players realized—Mihoyo wasn't just making a game. They were seriously invested.

And so, Honkai's reputation—and Mihoyo's—rose worldwide.

Major studios watched with envy.

Indie developers called them idols, chasing after their example.

...

But internet memory is short.

The buzz of Honkai's update cooled after only a few days.

On Mo Li's side, preparations for Genshin's official launch were underway.

That day, someone unexpected visited Mihoyo's office—Keqing.

Her twin ponytails swayed as she walked in, serious as ever.

Mo Li couldn't help but smile.

"Well, well. What brings Miss Keqing here today?"

"Hmph. Don't call me Ah Qing!" she huffed.

"Then… Master Ke?"

At that, flames seemed to burn in Keqing's chest.

Seeing her cheeks puff up, Mo Li decided to stop teasing.

"Alright, just kidding. Miss Keqing, what brings you here?"

"Hmph~"

She set a package on his desk.

"This is the outfit you wanted."

"So fast?" Mo Li blinked, pulling out a small red dress.

"Cloth dresses are easy. The difficult ones are Valkyrie battlesuits—metallic sheen, light weight, functional design. Those still need work."

Mo Li nodded. "No rush. Just make sure Lady Ningguang doesn't give up halfway."

Keqing smirked. "That word doesn't exist in her vocabulary."

Then she stood silently, staring at him.

Mo Li: "?"

"Is there… something else, Miss Keqing?"

Her chest burned hotter. She almost spoke, but after a pause, just shook her head.

"Forget it. Nothing. I'll head back."

Watching her retreat, Mo Li suddenly remembered.

Keqing probably wanted to try Genshin Impact.

Last time, she'd only watched the girls play for an afternoon.

This time, she clearly wanted to play herself—but was too proud to say it.

So you are a tsundere, huh. Caught you~

"Ahem." Mo Li pulled up a chair with a grin.

"No need to rush off, Miss Keqing. Sit here, take a break. Want something to drink? I'll have Rita mix it up for you."

"Oh, and—want to try out our not-yet-public beta of Genshin Impact?"

Keqing: "…"

His sudden enthusiasm made her stiffen awkwardly.

"…Just water will do."

"Got it." Mo Li smiled. "Take your time with Genshin. Give me your feedback too. I'll get Rita."

When he left, Keqing finally reached for the mouse.

Of course she wanted to try it.

But more than that—she wanted to see how she herself appeared in the game.

She'd even been playing Honkai 3rd these past days.

The story had left her teary-eyed. Even Ningguang had been red-eyed by the end.

Keqing, meanwhile, had cried buckets.

But once the story was done, she'd focused on the crossover character—herself.

And honestly? In Honkai, she was amazing.

So now, she no longer felt shy about seeing herself as a character.

...

Elsewhere, Mo Li had shown Rita the red dress, then hurried to find Klee.

"Brother Mo Li~ did you come to play with Klee?"

He couldn't resist scooping up the tiny girl.

"Where's Hu Tao? Didn't she play with you?"

"She's in lessons~"

"I see~" He pinched her cheek. "Well, I brought you a present."

"Wow~ is it a giant torpedo?!"

Mo Li: "…"

"…No. It's a cute little dress."

He lifted the bag in his hand.

Klee looked less than thrilled.

It wasn't that she disliked dresses.

She just preferred Mo Li playing with her—ideally sneaking out to drop bombs in a pond.

"Where's Bronya?" Mo Li asked.

Klee pointed. "Over there~"

Setting her down, he ruffled her hair. "Take me to her."

"Okay!" She scampered off happily—thinking he'd convince Bronya to let her go light fireworks.

But instead, he handed the dress to Bronya.

"Put this on Klee. We'll shoot a video."

Bronya blinked at the clover patterns on the dress, then at Klee's round little face.

"A fire-red dress with four-leaf clovers… it does fit her."

"Exactly," Mo Li grinned. "I'm planning to make Klee a Genshin character."

Bronya: "Are you sure?"

Mo Li nodded. "Who wouldn't love such a cute girl?"

She hesitated. "And… her personality?"

"She likes bombs."

Bronya: "…"

That was accurate.

"…Isn't that a bit much?"

Mo Li rolled his eyes. "And you think a little girl with bombs is more far-fetched than magic Vision powers?"

"I meant the character setting."

"Exaggeration is good! What, you'd rather Klee throw firecrackers at hilichurls?"

Bronya: "…"

"Forget it. Do as you like."

Mo Li pulled out his phone, showing her the in-game model: a tiny girl in a red dress, small backpack, and red beret.

Bronya's eyes lit up.

The dress was exactly like the one in her hands.

"See? Looks just like her."

"…I'll help her change."

...

When Klee walked out in her little red dress, backpack bouncing, Mo Li felt… almost maternal.

Too cute!!

He crouched down, pinching her cheeks.

"Well? Do you like it?"

She thought for a moment, then nodded. "Mm! Thank you, Brother Mo Li~"

"Then how about being our model for the day?"

"Model?" She tilted her head, chewing her finger.

Not knowing what it meant, she still nodded. "Okay~"

"Then let's go blow up some fish!"

Klee instantly jumped up. "Yay~"

Of course, Mo Li didn't plan a formal promo.

Just a short video of Klee tossing bombs into a pond, as Genshin's teaser.

[Mihoyo's precious mascot—if she joined Teyvat, would you pull?]
