Chapter 15 - Call

Arjun was back home from Ludhiana, but the buzz of the city and the thought of her still lingered. He opened his laptop and logged into the book app. Sure enough, her name popped up.

MoonInk:Hey! Ready to defend your last story point?

Arjun chuckled. He had been thinking about it the entire trip, mentally crafting counter-arguments.

IronQuill:Absolutely. But you know, I can't type as fast as you. This might take a while…

MoonInk:Hmm… then maybe a call? We can argue like normal humans, not robots.

Arjun hesitated. Calling felt different—closer—but the thought of her voice made his chest tighten in a way he hadn't expected. Still, he wanted the argument to continue.

IronQuill:Okay… call me.

Soon, her voice filled his ear: lively, teasing, slightly amused.

"You're still wrong about the plot twist," she said immediately.

Arjun laughed, "Wrong? You're the one who made the character do something unrealistic just to make the story dramatic!"

"Oh, come on! It's fiction. Anything can happen!" she shot back, laughing.

For the next hour, they argued and laughed, interrupted by pauses when they both realized how long they had been talking. They analyzed character motives, debated dialogue choices, and teased each other for overthinking.

Finally, she sighed. "You know, we're both terrible at romance plots. And life, apparently."

Arjun laughed quietly. "True. We're noobs in both writing and love."

"Exactly! But at least we're good at arguing and… talking," she added.

"Yeah," he said softly, almost to himself. "That's something."

They ended the call smiling, both feeling the warmth of connection—real, comfortable, and full of possibilities. They didn't need meetings or confessions yet. Words, arguments, and laughter were enough for now.
