Chapter 1 - An Overthinking Anomaly (Part - 1)

It was warm and humid, and the strong sun beams threatened to blind me, so I sat beside the windows, just leaving a row. It's uncomfortable that I have to sit for hours in this primitive institution.

No matter where I look, no one could come close to even meeting my status quo. Wait, that sounds like I'm some kind of villainess, but would a villain look this cute?

With an interval of a few minutes, a cold blow of wind graces the room. Ahhh, this feels like heaven in this heat. My long brown hair with a high-tied ponytail sways as if it's part of my own body, more like a dog's tail, communicating my emotions.

I slightly peek from the window as huge clouds block the sun for a brief period of time, even bringing my face close to the outside of the window makes me feel like my skin is melting into a mush, I don't want it to ruin my makeup.

I look at the boys like monkeys kicking the soccer ball in the heat, running around, and sweating. That's a man for you; they have zero sense of self.

I was lucky to be greeted with the heavenly breeze as I had the whole window to myself. Hmm, whose seat was this supposed to be? Well, that doesn't bother me.

I slightly pull my collar, allowing my sweat to dry off while i sat back at my desk, Hah Hah Hah this is torture, They take so much money from my father and this is the level of infrastructure they are able to build for atleast get the deluxe split air conditioner for the students they are the next generation for this country filled with old timers.

I kept huffing as the clouds gradually moved a much stronger beam of sun, completely fixated directly at the classroom like some kind of a death ray of some distant star from a far, far, far away galaxy.

My beautiful eyes with the colour of amber reflected the light, my eyelids half closed, I rest my back, resting my body on the chair, the rise and fall of my chest, ah, I am utterly defeated by this heat.

A Shadow, a long, cool shadow, consumed me. I somehow tried to force my eyes open, staring at the origin of the shadow. He stood right guarding the window, barely; the strong sunlight cast a much stronger and denser shadow, similar to the person's personality itself.

He stood beside my desk, blocking the death ray. I could crown him as the prince who saved this maiden, but I ain't that easy of a lady. His figure completely shadowed an overarching calamity.

My mind went black, a silent yet audible hiss took over, growing louder and louder with the sunlight growing stronger and stronger.

I blink my eyes heavily than before. Eyelids feel warm, it's uncomfortable to close my eyes, a tear traces down my cheek, I take my handkerchief to wipe away the tear carefully, not to ruin the makeup. As the sun grows stronger and stronger like a death-

Wait…

What's this weird sense of Deja vu?

Subconsciously, my hands reach my collar, and I wave to allow the lucky cool breeze to dry off my sweat.

A shadow like the needle of a clock ticked towards me, drawing a cold shade over me; it was hard to describe the face due to the bright sunlight behind him. My vision blurred as my eyelids forcefully shut due to the bright flash of the sunlight

"This is your right?"

He reached out with a piece of paper; the face was much easier to decipher all of a sudden, easier than the watch order of the Fate series.

"Ah! Haa…" I look down at the paper, 'Shizuka Hyouka', that's definitely my name, pristine like a drop of water.

I looked more closely at the contents of the paper he handed me.

The results of yesterday's mock test. Eh? What's all this build-up for!!!

Sigh..

"I have been summoned." He walked over to the open window, his hair shoulder-length, tied into a tiny ponytail with a deliberate handful of hair covering his left eye.

"Let's meet again when the circumstances call for the legends to reunite."

He claimed with a side eye look at me, he jumped out of the window, completely disappearing as if merging together with the sunlight in a flash he disappeared.

I stay stunned for a brief moment, rethinking the whole interaction, no, can I even call it an interaction? That's some next level of delusion.

What a freaking weeb.

Now that I recall him, he is from my class, but his presence is almost invisible!!! Well, that's a given, considering his Chunibyo act, he is always socially excluded from every group or activity, not that he tries to be a part of them in the first place.

Although I don't care to pay so much attention, my observations are solely based upon myself after all, everyone in the classroom is just my accessories, and speaking of which, even if he tried to approach me, I would rather be plain than have an annoying bug as an accessory.

What was his name again? If I recall correctly, Shu…

Shu Anzai.
