My wish came to pass. Morning came in no time and we were up, ready to begin our long journey back to the fallen moon pack, my abandoned pack. Thankfully, the night was peaceful although we both slept with one eye open. We finished eating and began our long journey back to the pack. It was going to take at least an extra day or two to get back to the pack.

So she's still alive. Her pack didn't burn her for killing her parents? That's ridiculous. I thought I paid that coward handsomely to do a clean job. Did he inject her wrongly or with the wrong mixture? Now, the threat remains. The threat to my rulership remains.
That little girl must have grown by now. She must not find out the truth about who she is. Now, with every passing minute, I feel threatened, knowing that she's still alive. Where has she been hiding all these while? No, this can't be. I must find a way to eliminate her and I must be quick about it.
"Byron!"
"Yes Alpha"
"Bring me the records of the great war of the eclipse."
"As you wish, Alpha."
"Be quick!"
If that girl finds her way here, I'm doomed. She must die before she step her foot in my territory. I will have to burn these records to ensure she never have to find the slightest clue about the truth of her parents' death.
She must NOT find out.
I have to end everything once and for all. The last time I ordered for every girl in that pack to be killed, the Alpha was informed by a traitor from my own pack, thus, preparations were made and we failed woefully. Now, that Alpha has long been killed and the girl must have grown up a bit.
I sent some rogues to go and eliminate all the young girls between the ages of 14 and 20 and the idiots came running back, only to tell me how they failed woefully, just because they were afraid of a particular wolf in that pack.
That pack is not among the top ten strongest pack in all of America, hence the pack's name, fallen moon. Only cowards would be afraid of such a pack that is now being ruled by a weak Alpha. They were instructed to kill anything that stood in their way, yet they came running back like rabbits.
"Alpha, we couldn't find the records. We have searched everywhere for it but still it can't be found."
"What do you mean it can't be found? Are you out of your mind?"
"We have searched everywhere, even the dungeons, we couldn't find it."
"Those records are more important than your lives. So do everything possible you can to bring them to me, right now. Otherwise, you are going to die today, all of you."
"Ah! But we have searched everywhere. Do we have to search the household of each pack member?"
"Are you asking me such a silly question? I said you must do all you can to provide the records for me today. Otherwise, all of you will be dead this instant. Search everywhere, even if it means going out of this pack. Search the entire world for those records, if you want to see the light of tomorrow.
I placed those records in your care, how funny it is that you stand before me to utter nonsense. You should know how important those records are to me. It will not only cost you your lives, but that of your families as well, if I don't have them before tomorrow morning.
Now get out of my sight."

(Katerina's POV)
It took us two days to get back to our pack, tired and hungry as we had exhausted all the remaining food the elder had brought with him.
Thankfully, there were no rogues or other wild animals to attack us on our way after the first time. It was currently dark at night and we had purposely waited till it was dark before we could sneak back into the pack. Although there were always pack security watching over at night, so we had to be very careful, otherwise, we would be brought before the Alpha the following day to answer some funny questions.
We carefully sneaked in through the back gates as we noticed some guards on duty, watching everywhere. We were in our human form now, carefully walking on tiptoes and hoping we don't get spotted by any of the guards. Suddenly, just as we were about crossing the path that led to the elder's house, a torchlight shone on us, our hearts racing into our mouths.
