Author’s Note & Disclaimer

Hello there, traveler.

If you are here because you typed "Genshin Impact" into the search bar, saw the word "Goddess," and thought, Oh, cool, another reincarnation power fantasy, I have some news for you.

You are about to read the story of Faroha, the Elysmarian Goddess of Law from the Writistic Universe. In her own world, she commands celestial courts, bends the fate of nations, and wields powers that could vaporize a continent before you can say "objection."

In this story, she gets told to make coffee.

Yes, I am serious.

She also files paperwork, organizes case files alphabetically (Neuvillette's rule, not mine), and occasionally gets yelled at by Paimon. And, for reasons we will explore later, she cannot simply declare "I am the Goddess of Law, therefore I am in charge now." Apparently, Fontaine's legal system does not recognize extradimensional job titles.

So if you came here expecting Faroha to arrive in Fontaine, instantly overthrow the Hydro Archon, and become Queen of Teyvat, you may be disappointed. Unless you are the sort of person who enjoys watching divine beings get humbled by office bureaucracy. In which case, welcome. You are my people.

The Spirit of This Story

You might be wondering: Is this a serious plot or is this just comedy? The answer is… yes.

This story is a romantic comedy at heart, because nothing is funnier than a goddess learning to use a typewriter, but it also has a proper plot involving rifts between dimensions, Abyss Order schemes, and legal dilemmas that require both Faroha's cosmic sense of justice and Neuvillette's meticulous procedural approach.

Think of it as a coffee with three shots: one shot of humor, one shot of slow-burn romance, and one shot of actual stakes.

And yes, before anyone asks, I am writing Neuvillette as the dignified, slightly intimidating, impossibly composed man he is in the game… but we will also see him dealing with things like Faroha accidentally bringing her pet cosmic salamander into the office.

About the Writistic Universe

For those who have not read anything from the Writistic Universe before, here is the quick version.

The Writistic Universe is my original storytelling world. It has multiple dimensions connected by the Sacred Timeline, each with its own laws of nature, magic systems, and ruling figures. Faroha comes from the Elysmarian Plane, a realm where the Goddess of Law oversees not just mortal justice but the balance of the entire plane. She is not human, although she can appear in human form. Her power is absolute in her own realm, but stepping outside of it comes with limitations.

In her home, Faroha's word is final. In Fontaine, Neuvillette's word is final. You can probably see where this is going.

About Genshin Impact and How I Treat Canon

This fanfic takes place after the main Fontaine Archon questline in Genshin Impact. I will try to keep the spirit of the lore intact while also bending it for comedic and crossover purposes. There will be accurate references to Fontaine's legal structure, but there will also be scenes like Faroha trying to explain to Furina why her robe sleeves are impractical for carrying coffee cups.

I am treating the events of the game as canon up until the point where Faroha arrives. After that, things may diverge wildly. This is for entertainment, not a strict reenactment of canon.

About the Romance

I know some people clicked on this specifically for the idea of Faroha × Neuvillette. Do not worry, there will be romance. But I write slow-burn. The kind where they go from polite coworkers, to begrudging allies, to partners in justice, to something more — and it will take time.

There will be banter, there will be mutual respect, and there will be moments where Faroha considers using her divine powers to make him smile just once. But this is not insta-love. We will earn it.

Disclaimer for the Lore Police

Yes, I know that Neuvillette is a dragon sovereign and would technically recognize divine power when he sees it. In this version of events, he knows Faroha is powerful but does not know exactly what she is or where she came from. At least, not at first. And no, I am not rewriting Teyvat's cosmic structure, I am just… rearranging the furniture.

Why "Intern" and Not "Lawyer"

You might be thinking, "If Faroha is the Goddess of Law, why not make her a prosecutor or a judge in Fontaine?" The answer is simple: she does not know Fontaine's legal codes. At all.

The Oratrice Mecanique is a mystery to her, the case citation system is baffling, and she once tried to pass a verdict in the middle of a street argument between two shopkeepers. She needs to learn the ropes before she can do anything official.

Also, it is funnier this way.

Tone Expectations

If you like:

Deadpan humor from straight-faced characters

Ridiculous misunderstandings in serious settings

Worlds colliding in ways that cause paperwork disasters

Slow-burn romance with mutual competence

Paimon asking way too many questions

…you are in the right place.

If you are allergic to comedy in your fantasy, this may not be the book for you.

Reader Participation

I like involving readers in the process. If you have a funny legal case idea that could happen in Fontaine, feel free to leave it in the comments. I might adapt it into a chapter if it fits. Examples: "Paimon sues the Fatui for emotional damages," or "Someone tries to patent Hydro Vision water."

Final Word Before We Begin

This is a crossover between a vast, original fantasy universe and one of my favorite game worlds. It is an experiment in tone — balancing humor with actual stakes — and I hope it makes you laugh, smile, and maybe get a little invested in whether Faroha can survive her internship without being demoted to "Courtroom Plant Watering Specialist."

Chapter 1 will begin after three auxiliary chapters. In the next one, I will introduce the main cast so you know who is who before we throw them into a scene together.

Now, please make sure your courtroom attire is in order, keep all cosmic salamanders in secure containers, and remember: in Fontaine, you cannot smite your opponents, even if they deserve it.

Court is now… almost in session.
