Han Yichen had already heard the ins and outs of the matter. His youngest daughter caught some really good things, and Meng Yunhan came looking for Han Ruochen right away. He still couldn't believe it.
When he heard someone was causing trouble for his daughter, who caught three peacock and one zebra mantis shrimp, he expected it to be someone from the village. But he never expected that the person who would cause trouble for Han Ruochen would be his wife!
At first, he thought that his worker had misheard and that his wife was actually helping their daughter, but who would have thought that it was truly Meng Yunhan who was causing trouble for Han Ruochen? Just what was filled inside the head of this woman? Was it lard? It had to be lard!
"Han Yichen! Your mother beat me up like this, and you are scolding me? Are you even a man?" Meng Yunhan had never been treated like this before, even though she had another man in her heart. Han Yichen had no idea what kind of disgusting thoughts his wife was having at the moment; he simply glared at her and spoke in a low voice, "Is my mother beating you for no reason? Who asked you to come here and scold Ruochen? Who calls their own daughter a wretched girl day in and day out? What did I tell you last night? Ruochen is scared, and she might be suffering from trauma. The least you can do is let her live in peace for a few days."
"Such a simple thing, and you forgot it in a few hours?"
Han Yichen didn't blame his mother, nor did he blame his daughter. There was nothing wrong with Han Ruochen coming to her grandmother's house to sell the fish that she caught, and there was nothing wrong with his mother beating Meng Yunhan. This unscrupulous woman! She actually sent out the pork belly that he sent home earlier this morning. She was really good!
That pork belly would cost at least ten yuan in the county, and she just gave it away like that!

"How many times do I have to tell you that the money that I make belongs to my children!?" Han Yichen didn't let her finish. "Go and bring the pork belly back or ask your family to take out the money for it. Ten yuan and not a penny less." He had had enough of Meng Yunhan's trouble and decided to take her in hand.
If not, this woman would continue causing trouble all the time.
Meng Yunhan was shocked. She stared at her husband, who asked her to bring ten yuan from her family. She opened her mouth and tried to quibble, "My family doesn't have that kind of money–"
"Then my family does!?" Han Yichen sneered. "Meng Yunhan, you'd better get the money back, or you can pack your things and get lost. It will be better that way; at least my children and I won't have to guard against thieves at our own home." Han Yichen didn't want to use such harsh words either, but he also felt sorry for Han Ruochen and the rest of his kids. His eldest son moved out when he got married, and his eldest daughter never returned after she was married off. His second son stayed outside all the time at the rented house in the city and hardly ever returned home, and his youngest son was a special kid.
In the past, he felt sorry for Meng Yunhan, as he believed that his children were giving her a hard time but now he realised that his kids just didn't want to return home. Because his wife was biased, these kids would rather stay outside than return home. Only Han Ruochen stayed, but she too was driven crazy by Meng Yunhan. What did it prove? It proved that the fault lay with Meng Yunhan and not with his children.
When Meng Yunhan heard the harsh words of her husband, she was stunned. She never thought that her husband would one day ask her to go back to her mother's home. At first, she was angry and wanted to agree right away, but when she thought about how she had sent all the good things to Master Yun and didn't send a single penny to her mother's house, Meng Yunhan no longer had the confidence.
She was worried that if she showed up empty-handed at her mother's house, her sisters-in-law would definitely talk shit about her. She couldn't go back!
Even Han Ziyan panicked. She knew that her mother had never sent a single thing to Old Madam Meng. If they went to Meng Yunhan's natal home, they would certainly not be welcomed. They might be kicked out.
Angry yet guilty, the two women left in shame.
Han Yichen watched the two leave and then turned to look at his mother, who glared at him.
Seeing this, Han Yichen smiled at his mother flatteringly. "Mother, please don't get angry. There is no point in getting angry over her."
"Do I want to get angry!?" Old Madam Han spat on the ground. "I am telling you, Yichen. You'd better take that woman in hand; she is really getting more and more out of control. If this goes on, then I am worried that she will cause some major trouble."
When Han Ruochen heard the words of her grandmother, she couldn't help but smile shallowly. No matter how harsh her grandmother was, she still had some hope when it came to her mother.
