Chapter 42 - 42

Starting from the fourth question, please be prepared.]

How did Iron Man Tony Stark solve palladium poisoning?

[A asks Doctor Stephen Strange to heal with magic.]

[B extracted a specific factor from the blood of Bruce Banner, the Hulk, and synthesized an antidote.]

[C discovered a new element to replace palladium with the help of Howard Stark.]

[D discovered other forms of energy supply, replacing the Ark reactor.]

[Answer this question correctly and you'll receive a nanotechnology award. If you answer incorrectly, you'll lose one year of your lifespan.]

"Nanotechnology!" Tony Stark saw the reward at a glance. Although he had not seen the video of him fighting Black Dwarf or Thanos, just based on his keen sense of scientific research, he thought of nanotechnology that could be applied to the armor.

"I must answer this question correctly. With nanotechnology, armor will be able to develop by leaps and bounds!" Tony Stark said to himself secretly. He was very envious of this nanotechnology.

"Palladium poisoning?" Phil Coulson immediately realized the huge information contained in the question. "Stark, have you been poisoned by palladium?"

He knew that Nick Fury was speculating like this, and it was because of this speculation that Nick Fury planned to send Natasha Romanoff to be an undercover agent next to Tony Stark.

"Yes, I've been poisoned." Tony Stark had nothing to hide at this time.

"How serious is it?"

"I took a test today at the Moroccan racetrack and my blood toxicity has reached 53%."

"Stark, how long do you plan to keep this a secret?" Although Phil Coulson didn't know the specific details of palladium poisoning, the figure of 53% didn't look good, which meant that more than half of the blood in Tony Stark's body was poisonous.

"That's right, Stark. You're crucial in the upcoming battle for New York. Your safety isn't just your own concern, it's ours." Clint Barton, though completely clueless about the so-called "palladium," knew the severity of the toxin in his blood. "You're already so deeply poisoned, you shouldn't have kept it a secret from everyone."

"Easy, you can see that the problem has been solved, right?" Tony Stark pointed to the question.

"The palladium poisoning has been resolved, but if you encounter any other poisoning, or contract an incurable disease, or suffer an injury that requires amputation, etc., remember to tell us and we will help you find a solution together."

"Thank you, Coulson."

"You're welcome."

"Although I feel like you're cursing me."

"I don't."

"Another poisoning, an incurable disease, and an injury that cuts off half of the body. Are you sure this isn't a curse on me?"

"Absolutely not," Phil Coulson said. "Let's analyze the problem."

"Stark, after looking at these options, I can't help but ask a question," Clint Barton said, "Is your father, Howard Stark, really dead?"

As soon as these words came out, Phil Coulson couldn't help but look at Tony Stark. Howard Stark, like his son Tony Stark, was an extremely talented person and one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. If he were still alive, it would undoubtedly be good news for S.H.I.E.L.D., especially when they knew that mankind was about to face a catastrophe.

"When I knew that Steve Rogers and Arnim Zola of Hydra might be alive, I had hope." Facing the gazes of several people, Tony Stark was silent for a moment before speaking, "But, the man who never said he loved me, he must be really dead."

"Why are you so sure?" Clint Barton said.

"We all thought Captain America was dead before."

"First of all, I saw his body. I saw it with my own eyes." Tony Stark's voice didn't sound as calm as he looked. "Secondly, my father isn't a mad scientist like Arnim Zola. He wouldn't challenge taboos like breaking the boundary between life and death. He helped Abraham Erskine create Captain America to win the war, but if there really were something that could make people live forever or bring them back from the dead, the whole world would be in chaos. He wouldn't interfere in such an area."

"Isn't it possible that he secretly injected himself with Abraham Erskine's serum?" Clint Barton said.

"I've lived with him for 20 years. How could I not know if he was a super soldier?" Tony Stark asked. "And do you think that if my father really was a super soldier, Steve Rogers wouldn't be the only original American superhero now?"

"So there's no chance your father is alive?" Phil Coulson said.

"My father, Howard Stark, that cold man, is truly asleep." Tony Stark said.

"Okay, then it seems option C can be ruled out," Phil Coulson said. "It's obviously impossible for someone who is no longer here to provide any help to Stark."

"Option A is also worth noting," Clint Barton added. "According to the information revealed in this option, Stephen Strange is very likely a magician."

"Doctor Strange, Doctor Strange, I always thought he was a big shot in science like Stark, but I didn't expect he was also a magician." Phil Coulson was also quite surprised.

"Then it seems that all the Stranges I met before can be ruled out. None of them can use magic." Clint Barton said.

"So the question now is, can magic cure palladium poisoning?" Phil Coulson was quite clueless about this question because he knew nothing about magic.

"Thor, do you know magic?" Clint Barton's gaze fell on Thor. "Do you think magic can cure Stark's palladium poisoning?"

"You really don't know anything about magic." Thor laughed when he heard this question. "Magic can even resurrect the dead. Do you think it can cure some blood toxins?"

"So option A is possible," Tony Stark mused. "Then let's look at options B and D. I think both of these can be ruled out."

"We all know the reason Bruce Banner became the Hulk: gamma ray radiation. If gamma rays could cure Stark's palladium poisoning, then I think Stark would have discovered it himself, without having to wait for Bruce Banner." Phil Coulson said, "I think option B can also be ruled out, but Stark, why not option D? With your talent, I think it's entirely possible."
