"You used human hearts for elixir?"
Az swallowed hard and shouted back, his voice cracking, "Yes!"
"For some reason, a deadly disease infected demons. All new demons affected by it die with their potential locked. To cure it, we need human hearts."
"Whatttt!" Ethan's voice rose sharply.
"This war," Ethan asked weakly with desperation clear in his eyes. "You know that. You aren't joking with me, right? You're not coming up with a shitty excuse—"
The pressure spiked again.
Az screamed as his spine slammed into the invisible wall behind him, the force knocking the air from his lungs.
"Do you think I am in the situation to lie?" Az roared back, his voice breaking.
Ethan did not answer.
Instead, his aura surged violently as he stepped forward and struck, the blow slammed into Az with deadly force even through the prison.
Az coughed violently, blood splattering across the inside of the glowing cage as his body convulsed.
