Chapter 22 - X THE HUNTER S2 E12

Season 2 — Episode 12: Blood in the Void

Cold Open — The Tribunal's Hand

Recap montage — the narration almost feels like ghostly whispers echoing across the void:

• Episode 11: Xavier kills the Starborn Hunter and its moon-sized serpent, earning the burning mark of the Starfall Tribunal.

• The sigil — a perfect black circle ringed by twelve eyes of flame — ignites above the battlefield, branding him as prey.

• The Tribunal themselves vow: "The anomaly will not reach its peak. End him before the season's end."

INT. OUTER EXPANSE — SHADOW SECTOR

A cloaked frigate drifts silently, its hull painted black to blend with the infinite. Inside, three Tribunal Hunters kneel before a massive holographic projection of the twelve-eyed mark.

The hologram pulses as a deep, inhuman voice resonates through the chamber.

TRIBUNAL VOICE:

"The anomaly's name is Xavier. Kill him before his growth destabilizes the balance."

No more words. The three rise in unison. Their faces remain hidden beneath battle helms; their weapons hum with alien runes — curved blades, plasma filaments, and segmented whips that glow like molten veins.

The image fades to black, and a heavy percussion beat — slow war drums — begins to pound.

Act 1 — The Arkship Ambushed

EXT. DEEP SPACE

The Hunter Guild Arkship sails silently through an asteroid field, her silver hull gliding between drifting rock and ice. On the bridge, the hum of mana-reactors is steady… until alarms howl.

KAI (over comms):

"Warp signature ahead — and it's not guild tech!"

Space twists. Reality bends. A distortion wave blooms like oil in water, tearing itself apart to reveal a jagged warp gate.

Three sleek hunter craft burst from the gate, their hulls black with jagged crimson lines. They fan out in perfect formation — predators closing on prey.

A second later, thunk-thunk-thunk — boarding harpoons smash into the Arkship's hull.

HUD ALERT:

• Hostiles Detected — Starfall Tribunal Operatives

• Levels: 2,600 / 2,700 / 2,800

The air crackles with coming violence.

Act 2 — First Kill in the Dark

INT. ARKSHIP — ENGINE DECK

The first assassin comes like a blur of light and steel. Hunters stationed in the engine room barely have time to shout before they're cut down — one in half at the waist, another headless, the floor slick with blood.

A streak of golden light meets the intruder head-on. Xavier's upward slash sends a spray of sparks across the deck as steel meets steel.

ASSASSIN #1:

"The Tribunal said you'd be fast. They didn't say you'd be stupid enough to meet us head-on."

Xavier doesn't answer. His eyes glow faint gold, and then they're both moving — weaving between reactor towers, blades ringing in short, savage bursts.

The assassin's plasma-edges spit molten sparks as they miss by centimeters. Xavier blinks in and out of sight with Absolute Velocity, the world slowing each time he moves.

A sudden shift — he uses Gravity Anchor to flip behind the assassin mid-swing. A flash of motion, a spray of blood. The enemy's weapon arm hits the floor with a metallic clang.

The assassin hisses, tries to counter — too late. Xavier drives his blade clean through the chest. The body crumples, steam and blood mixing on the cold metal deck.

Act 3 — Hunter vs. Hunter

INT. ARKSHIP — COMMAND LEVEL

Kai is locked in combat with Assassin #2 — a fighter wielding twin curveblades crackling with static. Every strike forces Kai backward toward a panoramic viewport, the void yawning beyond.

Glass splinters under his boots. The assassin grins behind their mask.

The grin vanishes when Xavier bursts through the command door mid-clash. He parries one curveblade with his own, kicking the second assassin hard enough to dent the wall.

The next thirty seconds are a brutal, claustrophobic melee — sparks flying as three blades clash in blinding speed. Xavier's strikes come with surgical precision, Kai pressing from the flank.

Then Xavier activates Predator's Supremacy. It's subtle — just a flicker of hesitation in the assassin's movement, the primal fear of prey facing a perfect predator. That half-second is enough.

Steel slides through armor, ribs, heart. The assassin falls, blood pooling fast.

HUD: Level Up — 2,503 → 2,507

Act 4 — Duel in the Vacuum

EXT. OUTER HULL — ZERO-G

The third assassin is already outside, crouched on the Arkship's hull with magnetic claws, whip-sword slithering like a living thing.

The breach yawns open — and Xavier steps through without a suit, golden aura blazing against the blackness. His breath freezes instantly, frost curling from his lips — but his eyes never waver.

The whip-sword lashes out, wrapping around his blade in a serpent's coil. Both fighters are shoved into open space, bodies spinning slowly.

In the silence, every movement feels amplified — a slow ballet of death. They push and pull against each other, magnetic boots hissing as they reconnect to the hull, only to leap away again.

Then Xavier yanks his opponent forward with Gravity Anchor. The assassin slams into him at full force — just in time to meet a lightning-charged knee to the chest.

Armor caves inward. Blood bursts in a red mist against the black. Xavier's follow-up slash cuts the whip clean in two, then the head from the body.

HUD: Level Up — 2,507 → 2,510

Act 5 — Aftermath & The Bigger Threat

INT. ARKSHIP — DAMAGED SECTIONS

The ship limps forward, damage crews sealing breaches with mana barriers. Blood smears the walls where the assassins cut their way through.

The Tribunal hunters' bodies — or what's left of them — are sealed in containment pods, humming with stasis fields.

KAI:

"Three of them nearly tore the Arkship apart. What happens when they send ten?"

Xavier wipes blood from his blade, gaze fixed on the stars beyond.

XAVIER:

"Then I stop ten."

Far ahead, faint but unmistakable — the burning twelve-eyed sigil glimmers in the void, watching.

Ending Cliffhanger

EXT. DISTANT SPACE — STARFALL TRIBUNAL CAPITAL

A star burns in the center of a vast throne room. Twelve silhouettes sit in a ring around it, their shapes monstrous, beautiful, alien.

In the center stands the Tribunal Master, silver-armored, helm shaped like a crown of jagged thorns. Before him, projections of Xavier's fights play in real time.

TRIBUNAL MASTER:

"The boy adapts too quickly. We'll need… specialists."

The hologram shifts.

Six new hunters appear — their power a physical weight even through the projection. Some bear monstrous auras; others hold weapons that could slice a battleship in two.

LEVEL READINGS: 3,500+ … 4,000+ …

The Tribunal Master's voice drops to a whisper — the kind that promises death.

"Send in the Sixfold Siege."
