Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Orange Talent—Samurai's Soul!

"Faster! Go faster!"

Abel was growing increasingly anxious.

He doubted Doflamingo would wait for him indefinitely while being pursued by the Marines.

In fact, he strongly suspected the man might already be preparing to flee.

'I can't just throw away this long-term meal ticket I finally found.'

[Order items confirmed... commencing teleportation.]

[Beginner's Prayer Order completed. Customer gave a five-star review (perfect rating)!]

[Review: Hahaha, this is amazing! A windfall from the heavens! I'm rich now, truly rich! I'm going to buy the finest wine and pour out every other glass! Burp~]

[The five-star review grants an additional 100% bonus to the base Trade Points reward. The remaining reward has been automatically distributed. Please check your account.]

[Due to the customer's extreme satisfaction, you have received an additional reward: White Yaksha's complete combat experience (including swordsmanship comprehension) and the Talent: Samurai's Soul (Orange).]

[Host has received a Five-Star Review. Details for advancing to Intermediate Trading Qualification are now available.]

[Condition 1: Obtain one Five-Star Review (Completed)]

"Holy shit, a Five-Star Review?!"

Abel was genuinely stunned this time.

He hadn't expected much, but Gin-san had delivered a massive surprise.

"Damn it, how much were those treasures worth?"

Abel was a little flustered, but he had no regrets.

Compared to a Five-Star Review, even the most valuable treasures might not be worth the price.

Besides, he never had a chance to hoard anything. Even if he had managed to smuggle some out, he'd only get scraps—nothing like the satisfaction he felt now!

The doubled Trade Points, now totaling 200, were just a bonus compared to the rest of his gains.

[Wooden Sword Lake Toya (Blue)]

[Equipment Item]

[Description: A factory-made sword bought from a TV shopping channel, but infused with some kind of metaphysical power, making it... slightly different.]

[Effect: Doubles learning efficiency during sword (or blade) training. (Stacks with other equipment or skill effects)]

[PS: It's fragile. Only an idiot would use it in combat.]

As Abel fled, he began to examine his gains.

He already possessed the Purple Talent "Rapid Digestion," which granted a tenfold learning boost whenever he was in the "Fullness" state.

Now, with the Wooden Sword Lake Toya, which further enhanced his sword technique learning efficiency and whose effects could stack, wouldn't he truly become a sword genius in an instant?!

No, he was already a sword genius!

After all, he had successfully absorbed all of White Yaksha's combat experience, including his comprehensive understanding of swordsmanship.

Although he had suddenly gained a flood of new memories, they were remarkably pure and integrated seamlessly, as if he had personally experienced those battles.

Abel was confident that with diligent practice in the coming days, he could quickly establish an exceptionally solid foundation in swordsmanship.

With such a solid foundation in swordsmanship, learning any further techniques would be twice as effective, allowing him to progress by leaps and bounds!

But the greatest surprise was yet to come.

[Obtained Orange Talent: Samurai's Soul]

[Description: A spirit forged from unwavering will and indomitable belief, granting its wielder the ability to unleash astonishing combat power even when critically wounded, often turning the tide against their enemies!]

[Upon entering the 'Critically Wounded' state, the Host will gain a 300% boost to combat power and immunity to one fatal blow, lasting until they exit the 'Critically Wounded' state or enter the 'Near Death' state. Cooldown: 24 hours.]

[Upon entering the 'Near Death' state, the Host must rely on their unwavering belief to perform three sit-ups. Completing this task will remove all temporary negative status effects and fully restore their health. Cooldown: 24 hours.]

"Wuhu! Let's fly!"

'The extra reward for earning a Five-Star Review is truly something else!'

'One word: badass!'

'This kind of Talent was the real deal!'

Compared to the Samurai's Soul, the Otherworlder's Heart was utter trash—he wouldn't even take it for free.

'You get what you pay for, after all. An Orange-quality Talent completely crushed the Blue-quality garbage.'

He wondered if evolving it to a Purple Talent would bring any improvements.

If the side effects remained this severe, Abel would probably pretend he never had the Talent in the first place.

As for the promotion conditions unlocked after earning the Five-Star Review, they were a pleasant surprise.

At least he finally knew what it would take to obtain the Intermediate Trading Qualification.

He'd managed to complete the most difficult condition, Condition 1, by sheer luck.

Condition 2 wasn't too bad either—maintaining a 60% approval rating of three stars or higher seemed manageable.

But Condition 3...

Not only did it require completing Conditions 1 and 2 first, but he also had to pay for a "ticket"!

The first attempt cost 1,000 Trade Points, the second 2,000, the third 3,000...

If someone unlucky faced multiple failures, they could bankrupt themselves trying to obtain the Intermediate Trading Qualification.

So he'd need to prepare thoroughly before attempting it. A few failures could be devastating.

Ideally, he'd get it right on the first try.

As Abel pondered this, he suddenly heard a voice from above.

"I... I finally found you! The Marines... they've attacked! The Young Master sent me to find you."

Buffalo descended from the sky, gasping for breath as he delivered the urgent message.

Even Abel was surprised. He had mentally prepared himself to be abandoned here, but it seemed Doflamingo actually had some sense of propriety after all.

"Thanks. I'll treat you to a deluxe ice cream when we get back."

"One isn't enough! I want two!" the chubby boy declared without hesitation.

Abel chuckled. "I'll get you three. Now hurry up!"

With that, he hopped onto Buffalo's back. Hearing Abel's generous offer, the boy's face lit up as he immediately took flight.

Counting Baby-5, Abel was the first person his age to ride the *Buffalo-Go*. After all, there were no other children around, and Buffalo couldn't carry adults who were too heavy.

On the way back, Abel curiously inquired about what had happened earlier, finally piecing together the situation.

'So that's why Doflamingo suddenly changed his attitude. Señor must have pulled him back.'

'Good. That box of cigars wasn't a waste after all!'

'Looks like I need to maintain good relations with the oddballs in the Donquixote Family from now on.'
