Chapter 206 - Chapter 206 The Source Of Brightness 2

Mei Yeqin even felt like she was judging others by her own standards.

Su Qing's eyes burned at Mei Yeqin. "So, how can I help him?"

She spoke eagerly, almost impatiently.

Mei Yeqin pursed her lips, pinched her fingers, and stared at the bedroom door not far away. "Qing Qing, we can't rush this. Ah Sui is very repulsive. He's never wanted you to know about this."

Such news extinguished Su Qing's spirited spirit, as if showered with cold water. She stared blankly at Mei Yeqin.

"Is he afraid I'll worry?"

Su Qing seemed to understand the young man somewhat. Just like when she'd been asked to take leave before, she'd tried to keep it a secret, fearing Jiang Sui would find out.

At this moment, she seemed to empathize.

"You could say that, but there's also the fact that he's somewhat convinced he's fine. He's always believed he's not ill. But when complications arose because of you, he called me the other day and said he'd get treatment after the case was investigated."

This was good news, of course.

But to Su Qing, it was heartbreaking.

Because Jiang Sui always seemed to put her own affairs first.

His words, about waiting until the case was over before seeking treatment, deeply shook Su Qing's heart for a few seconds.

"So, this vitamin isn't actually a vitamin, is it?"

He rarely took vitamins, and with his personality, why would he take vitamins? Su Qing had found it strange before.

Su Qing took the vitamin bottle from the coffee table and clasped it tightly in her hand.

Mei Yeqin was also stunned for a moment, having not expected Su Qing to observe so closely. She nodded, "He didn't want others to notice, so he changed the vitamin bottle."

Su Qing's heart felt as if a cold wind had whistled through it, leaving a large void.

She thought of the boy's behavior in the playground yesterday, the way he'd taken his vitamins.

"Auntie Mei, if these symptoms remain untreated, could there be other complications, like a fear of heights?"

Su Qing's eyes trembled slightly, and she seemed dazed.

"Well, it's possible. There's no clinical evidence to support this."

"But you can't say it doesn't exist."

Su Qing felt a pang of pain in her heart. She pursed her lips. Jiang Sui had overcome so many difficulties yesterday to make her happy, and he didn't want her to know?

She couldn't even do anything for him.

This realization left Su Qing feeling somewhat powerless.

She bit her lip. "You said I could help Jiang Sui. How can I help?"

Mei Yeqin was stunned by Su Qing's words.

"Su Qing, are you really willing?"

Su Qing nodded, her eyes so earnest, so bright, it was frightening.

"Yes, Auntie Mei, I really like Jiang Sui. We agreed to be together."

Su Qing rarely revealed her true feelings. Mei Yeqin knew that this girl was reserved, even a little shy at times, and generally reluctant to actively share her inner thoughts with others.

Being able to do this at this moment was truly a rare achievement.

"Su Qing, thank you."

Mei Yeqin valued Jiang Sui very much. She had been feeling uneasy, but at that moment, she felt like she had landed on solid ground.

"No wonder Pei Dai always told me you were a good girl."

As an adult, Mei Yeqin didn't object to anything Jiang Sui did. However, because she cared deeply about him, she was extremely cautious about everything concerning him, unwilling to let him get hurt.

Mei Yeqin even admitted that she wasn't a good person if Su Qing wasn't sincere.

She might also behave like those extreme adults and do something unbelievable.

At that moment, Mei Yeqin felt she couldn't compare to Su Qing.

Su Qing's face flushed slightly when Mei Yeqin praised her, but this didn't diminish the determination in her eyes as she looked at Mei Yeqin.

"Auntie Mei, Jiang Sui doesn't want me to know, right? Then don't tell him I know, and I won't tell him either."

The girl's gentle smile seemed to hold infinite power.

She was so thoughtful, even willing to take on everything herself, just for the boy.

Mei Yeqin nodded. "Okay, I understand. I won't tell him."

Mei Yeqin was selfish in this regard, her conscience condemned. Because she had broken her promise and told Su Qing something the boy didn't want her to know.

No matter the purpose, there's always a chance of betrayal.

"The initial plan is to rely on medication, but if the case is serious, like Ah Sui, we need to get him to open up first. Hypnosis is also a treatment method."

"Open up?"

Su Qing's words were tinged with a hint of confusion and light, and then she looked at Mei Yeqin.

"Doctor Mei, can you teach me? Teach me how to treat this disease?"

"I think I could be his doctor. I think he'd be willing to open up for me."

His complications were caused by her.

Su Qing grasped the crucial point at this moment. Her resoluteness and courage filled Mei Yeqin's eyes with a flicker of astonishment, followed by a glint of amazement.

"Su Qing, are you really willing?"

Mei Yeqin had considered asking Su Qing to help Jiang Sui directly as a doctor. The young man's closed heart hadn't been opened in so long, so having someone closest to him do the work was the surest way.

But such a thing would first require Su Qing's consent, and secondly, the process was too arduous.

She had never expected Su Qing to actually bring this up herself. The light and warmth in her eyes nearly burned Mei Yeqin.

Su Qing nodded without hesitation.

"Auntie Mei, I agree. Actually, many times before, my thoughts weren't as pure as you think, but Jiang Sui changed me."

Su Qing rarely spoke her mind.

At one point, she felt she should cling to Jiang Sui as a lifeline, asking him to protect her, using him as a pawn so she could study smoothly.

Many times, when her thoughts were torn.

She once loathed herself because she could clearly see the love in his eyes, and she truly felt like a clown.

Not so pure and clean.

The youth's coldness, or warmth.

Love, or hate.

Light and darkness, all so distinct.

It was he who pulled her from the abyss, and it was he who led her toward the light.

She can also be his light.

Illuminating those dark places.

They can both be sources of brightness for each other.
