Chapter 189 - Chapter 189 Jiang Sui Is Here Too

Seeing Su Qing's lack of reaction, Xu Miaoran pursed her lips. "May be I was wrong in starting, otherwise I think we could be friends."

Her expression stunned Su Qing for a moment, and she shook her head. "I'm a boring person, and there's too big gap between us to be friends."

Xu Miaoran was too confident and full of youth, while she was timid and cowardly. Even as friends, there were always too many conflicts.

It was all in the past.

"He really liked you."

Su Qing knew who Xu Miaoran was talking about. It was Jiang Sui.

Su Qing was a little surprised.

She wasn't used to talking about Jiang Sui with others, and didn't want to discuss it.

Xu Miaoran saw Su Qing's reluctance, "Did you know, I texted Jiang Sui before I came to find you? What do you think his reaction is now?"

The girl smiled, her lips curled up, and it was truly beautiful. She wasn't one of those girls with light complexions; she had a very strong complexion.

Slightly leaned in front of Su Qing, but just as she tried to step back, Xu Miaoran grabbed her arm.

"Don't move."

Su Qing wasn't used to being so close to someone, and she felt a little awkward. "You..."

"Can you let me go?" Before she could finish her words.

"Xu Miaoran, let her go!"

She heard an angry roar behind her, and everyone's eyes instantly turned to the three of them.

It was Jiang Sui's voice. Su Qing's entire body stiffened. Xu Miaoran's warm voice, tinged with a hint of laughter, reached her ears. "I just wanted to test how much he likes you."

Test?

Su Qing didn't like the word "test" and frowned.

Jiang Sui had already walked over, loosened her grip on Su Qing's hand, and brought her into his arms. He gave Xu Miaoran a cold glance, then looked down at Su Qing.

"Su Qing, you don't learn your lesson, do you? Why do you dare to come out when someone tells you to?"

Su Qing was completely stunned.

When she'd just heard Xu Miaoran say Jiang Sui was coming, she'd thought she was lying. She hadn't expected Jiang Sui to actually come.

And so quickly.

Now he was standing right in front of her.

Su Qing was completely dazed. With a hint of disbelief, she reached out and tugged at Jiang Sui's shirt. He was still wearing the same down jacket as hers.

The actual touch of her hand brought Su Qing back to reality, and a smile played on her lips.

"Jiang Sui, you came to see me la~."

There was joy in her voice; it had been a while since they'd seen each other.

Hearing the girl's voice, Jiang Sui's frown relaxed slightly, but not completely. "Su Qing, stop acting like a spoiled child. I won't take your sugar-coated action!"

"Tell me clearly, who told you to come out alone to meet such a dangerous person!"

He was clearly worried, his eyes darkening, and his entire person exuded a deep sense of displeasure, unhappiness, even extreme anger. Even the girl's smile to him couldn't dispel the panic within his heart.

At this moment, Jiang Sui had pulled Su Qing away from Xu Miaoran by a considerable, almost safe distance.

"I'm not alone..."

"We're on the street, there are lots of people around."

Su Qing quietly defended herself. Seeing the boy's brow furrowed in a frown, she reached out and tentatively grasped his fingers. He not only accepted, but squeezed firmly.

Su Qing's face lit up, figuring Jiang Sui's anger would subside considerably.

Who knew that the boy would get even angrier!

"Su Qing, there are so many people on the street. Do you recognize any of them? Huh?!"

"You're trying to be so clever with me. Are you trying to piss me off to death? Look who would dare to help someone on the street now? Tell me there are people everywhere on the street, huh?!"

The boy was furious. He wanted to yell, but he suppressed it all in his throat. His face flushed red with anger.

Su Qing choked and froze.

Because Jiang Sui was telling the truth, she bit her lip and subconsciously shook his arm. "Jiang Sui, I know no one's helping, but you and I will help, right?"

The girl's fiery, innocent eyes, like those of a devoted follower, sparkled, making it impossible to look away.

Jiang Sui nodded, reluctant to get angry. "Qing Qing, don't change the subject. I'm not talking about helping someone or not. I'm talking about you coming out here alone, with a stranger, a dangerous person."

His voice was tense, his fingers trembling, and there was a palpable fear in his eyes.

Su Qing's guilt suddenly washed over her. She wanted to reach out and hug him, but she felt embarrassed. She stared at her toes. "Jiang Sui, don't be sad. It won't happen again. Don't think about it. Don't be afraid."

She knew he was probably thinking of the last time, the last time she'd been in the rain.

"I know. I won't do anything stupid. You, you, don't be sad. Don't be angry. Okay? I was wrong. I know I was wrong."

The girl bowed her head obediently, admitting her mistake. She truly knew she was wrong. Her eyes were about to turn red as she looked at Jiang Sui.

Still reluctant to speak harshly, Jiang Sui, whose voice had only grown a little louder, was already drowning in self-blame. "It's my fault. It's my fault. It's my fault for not keeping a close eyes on you. Don't cry."

His voice softened, becoming unnaturally low and raspy.

Su Qing naturally didn't want Jiang Sui to blame himself. She bit her lip and shook his arm, "Don't blame yourself. I won't do that again. I want a hug, but outside..."

The girl's cheeks flushed crimson. Jiang Sui didn't think twice before giving Su Qing a light hug.

Su Qing rested her hands on his chest, feeling rather embarrassed.

Especially when she met Xu Miaoran's interested eyes, which had been fixed on them, Su Qing felt even more embarrassed.

"Let go for now..."

Seeing Su Qing's ears flushed, Jiang Sui's embrace didn't last long. In the boy's eyes, it felt so fleeting before he let go.

He hadn't even hugged her long enough.

Xu Miaoran, who had been watching them for a long time, glared at them teasingly, "Be careful in public!"

A flicker of unhappiness crossed Xu Miaoran's eyes, and she felt relieved. However, Jiang Sui didn't look at her the same way. The boy's gaze never left Su Qing, merely glancing at her briefly.

"I warned you not to mess with her."

There was no trace of politeness in the boy's words, and his gaze towards Xu Miaoran was icy.

Xu Miaoran's heart wept. He truly did not like her.

She had also truly seen how much Jiang Sui loved Su Qing.

He loved her so deeply, his eyes no longer cared about anyone or anything else.

In Jiang Sui's eyes, everything was just a backdrop to Su Qing.

For a moment, Xu Miaoran felt envious of Su Qing.

She might have nothing, but she had Jiang Sui.
