Chapter 6 - This Is Forcing Me to Be a Superhero

After careful consideration, Tony Stark couldn't come up with a clear train of thought.

After all, the information available for analysis was indeed too limited.

Even the cleverest housewife struggles without rice to cook.

Without the support of information, no matter how smart Tony Stark was, or how intelligent Jarvis was, it was useless.

So, the most important thing at the moment was still the diary's "spoilers."

Tony Stark refocused his attention on the diary in front of him.

But this time...

Tony Stark waited and waited, but there was no further activity in the diary.

It seemed that the other party's entries had ended here.

However, Tony Stark didn't stop. He still had many things to handle.

The mysterious diary, the time-traveler who knew the future of the world, the truth behind his parents' deaths, and the Ten Rings' kidnapping.

All of these mysteries were waiting for Tony Stark to solve and overcome.

As for things like the Asgardians' arrival, alien invasions, and the Cosmic Population Control Committee wiping out half the life in the universe...

They were too distant and too absurd.

Tony Stark wasn't planning to get involved for the time being.

Currently, what Tony Stark was most concerned about were these important questions.

Some of these questions left Tony Stark completely stumped.

But on others, Tony Stark had made some progress.

For example, Zhou Cheng's identity.

"Jarvis, how many Zhou Chengs have you found in America?"

After organizing his thoughts, Tony Stark asked Jarvis this question.

"3721, sir!"

Jarvis responded immediately.

Tony Stark nodded, indicating he understood.

Then, he began flipping through the diary while analyzing.

"'I, who've transmigrated into an ordinary person, am freaking out,' 'Someone like Tony Stark, with his status, isn't someone ordinary people can meet.'"

"It's clear that Zhou Cheng in the diary is an ordinary person, even someone from the lower class."

"Jarvis, eliminate everyone with elite status or higher from those 3721 people."

"'Marrying a rich, beautiful woman and reaching the pinnacle of life is all riding on this,' single, male."

"Also, eliminate those who are married."

"The diary uses a lot of slang and internet jargon typical of young people."

"Filter out anyone over thirty."

"Based on the posting times of his entries, they span the working hours of the average office worker."

"He either has a relaxed job that allows him to write during work hours."

"Or, he's unemployed, a student, or otherwise not working."

"Jarvis, cross-reference all these conditions and give me a final number."

"273 individuals, sir!"

Jarvis responded instantly.

The system also projected the relevant information of these 273 people in front of Tony Stark.

If Zhou Cheng were present, he would find that his own file was also among them.

"Two hundred and seventy-three people, huh?"

Tony Stark rested his chin in his hand, quickly scanning the dense files before him. "Not enough!"

Although he had already filtered out over ninety percent of the candidates, over two hundred people still remained.

It wasn't a problem on a technical level to have Jarvis monitor over two hundred people.

But Tony Stark didn't want to come across as some kind of voyeur.

Of course.

Tony Stark didn't have any better options at the moment, so he could only do this for now.

"Jarvis, keep an eye on them first."

He thought for a moment and gave Jarvis this order.

He could slowly filter things later when the diary revealed more information and provided further screening criteria.

Zhou Cheng's matter was temporarily put to rest.

Tony Stark waved his hand, and all the projected data in front of him disappeared.

Next.

Tony Stark began to carefully consider how to infiltrate the relevant departments without raising suspicion and decrypt those encrypted files.

"Damn, this is a bit of a scam, isn't it?"

"It's not like I can just write in this diary whenever I want?"

Inside the old house.

Zhou Cheng stared at the line of text that had appeared on the diary, immediately feeling speechless.

[Host's Source Points are insufficient, recording cannot be performed. Please replenish Source Points immediately!]

That's right.

Zhou Cheng's diary entry had indeed ended, but it wasn't Zhou Cheng who had ended it.

He was just getting into the writing.

Who would have thought that while writing, the diary would prompt that he was out of Source Points.

Writing in this diary actually required the consumption of something called Source Points.

What the hell.

Absolutely unheard of.

But on second thought, alright.

This diary wasn't exactly an ordinary diary, was it? Of course, more importantly.

These were the rules set by the Overgod. What else could Zhou Cheng do? If he wanted to benefit from the diary, to grow stronger through it, he could only obediently follow the rules.

Since he didn't have enough Source Points, he could only replenish them.

Sure enough, there's no such thing as free lunch.

Even with a cheat, you still have to follow the basic principle of "no pain, no gain."

You think you can sit around, daydream a few lines, and reach the pinnacle of life? That's just wishful thinking.

Zhou Cheng just grumbled a bit and quickly accepted it.

So what if it's Source Points? Just grind for them!

So, how does one get Source Points? The diary naturally provided the answer, which Zhou Cheng carefully examined.

The official explanation was fancy, high-class, and grand.

But when it came down to the actual plan of action, it could basically be summarized in four words: fight crime.

This is… unbelievable.

Zhou Cheng was speechless.

He had just joked about becoming a superhero, and now his words had come true.

It seemed he really had to become a superhero.

Good heavens, Zhou Cheng had planned to stay low-key and develop in secret.

Now, it looked like he was being forced to work!

"Damn it, a superhero it is!"

"Anyway, I have Imperial Arms now, who's afraid of whom?"

Zhou Cheng quickly made such a decision.

No matter what, it was an Imperial Arm!

Now, Tony Stark hadn't been kidnapped yet, and Iron Man hadn't been born.

Superheroes hadn't even surfaced.

With those wings, Zhou Cheng could accomplish great things.

So~ Where should he go next to "fight for justice" and harvest Source Points?

Zhou Cheng fell into contemplation.

"That settles it!"

And soon, Zhou Cheng couldn't help but clap his hands.

He had already made his decision.
