What happens when a young man running from the authorities bumps into an ordinary girl? Wait, maybe not so ordinary after all. Hugo Rochelle is an aspiring criminal from the gutters of Astera has just stolen a scroll from under the Crown Princess' nose. Now, on the run he stops by a small village, a village so obscure no one will surely find him. And yet........ Piper Clemence is a girl with many, many secrets. Some of them so absurd and nonsensical that if she ever uttered them out loud, she would become the laughingstock of the village. Trying to lay low, she works as the bartender at a bar in an obscure village, away from all the trouble that plagues Astera. But then she sees Hugo enter the bar.
