With fighter jets joining the battle, Hulk's attention was immediately drawn away.
Like a raging beast, he roared at the planes. His mind had only one thought, attack whoever attacked him. Since the jets fired at him, he fought back at them.
With a leap of several hundred meters, Hulk landed on the canopy of an F-22 fighter jet. He slammed a fist against the glass. The bulletproof canopy shattered as if it were paper.
The pilot's face went pale. Terrified, he pulled the ejection handle and shot out of the cockpit.
Without its pilot, the jet plunged rapidly toward the ground, dragging Hulk down with it.
Seeing Hulk fall from the Helicarrier, Thor finally breathed a sigh of relief. He turned and walked quickly toward Loki's cell. By now, he was certain this chaos was all the work of his cunning younger brother.
But as he arrived, he was stunned. Loki had already opened the prison door and was about to step out.
"Loki!" Thor roared and charged forward, trying to shove him back inside.
To his shock, his body passed straight through Loki. It was only a projection. Instead, Thor himself ended up locked inside the glass prison.
"Thor, this trick works on you every time," Loki sneered.
"No!" Thor bellowed, lifting Mjolnir and smashing it against the glass.
The strike, heavy enough to split mountains, only left a crack.
"Hahaha, I like this thing!" Loki grinned, looking pleased. "Mortals think we are immortal gods. Why don't you prove it to them?"
He walked toward the control console, gripping a lever. A single pull would release the glass cell, dropping Thor from nine thousand meters.
At that moment, Coulson entered, holding a strange-looking weapon.
"Better take your hand off that lever," Coulson warned coldly. "When you sent the Destroyer, we started developing this. Care to test its power?"
Coulson raised the gun, inching closer, hoping Loki would surrender.
But in a blink, Loki vanished from in front of him and appeared behind. Before Coulson could react, the scepter pierced his back.
"No!" Thor howled with grief as Coulson collapsed, blood pooling beneath him. He raised Mjolnir to shatter the glass.
Loki gave him no chance. With a tug, he pulled the lever.
The floor beneath the glass prison opened like an elevator shaft. With a rumble, Thor's prison plummeted into the sky below. Loki smirked, delighted to see his brother helpless.
"You've lost," a faint voice whispered.
Loki turned. It was Coulson, barely clinging to life.
"I've lost?" Loki mocked. "Your so-called heroes are broken. The Helicarrier will soon fall. Tell me, what exactly have I lost?"
"You lack faith. That's why you will fail," Coulson said weakly.
"Faith? You mean that so-called Lord of Life? He doesn't seem to care about you at all," Loki scoffed.
"I know we made mistakes," Coulson gasped, his face pale. "But the Lord of Life will understand. I'm his follower. You shouldn't have come here. You'll pay for this."
"Enough!" Loki snapped coldly. "Don't try to frighten me with that nonsense. I am a god of Asgard, the future king. Who could stop me?"
"Are you sure you don't fear my lord?"
A divine light suddenly enveloped Coulson. His wounds closed instantly, his body healing before Loki's stunned eyes.
"Who?" Loki whispered, eyes narrowing.
As the light faded, a woman in a white maid's uniform stepped forward. Her beauty was beyond compare, her aura overwhelming. Even the women of Asgard paled in comparison.
It was Sirius, the loyal war maiden dispatched by Roland Phils.
Her outfit was modest, unlike the revealing uniforms she wore before her commander. But no clothing could hide her flawless face or the terrifying power radiating from her.
"Who are you?" Loki demanded, his tone cautious for the first time.
"Sirius, saint under the Lord of Life," she answered sweetly, though her words carried deadly weight. "Hand over the scepter and my lord may spare you. Refuse, and I'll erase you."
Loki smirked. "A woman? Go home and clean your floors. This isn't a place for you to—"
Before he could finish, the cannon floating beside Sirius fired. A surge of blue energy blasted into Loki, hurling him off the Helicarrier. The scepter clattered to the floor.
"So noisy," Sirius muttered. She picked up the scepter and smiled dreamily.
"So this is the Mind Stone? It looks beautiful. I'll wrap it carefully and give it to my proud master. He'll reward me, surely. He must!" Her eyes shone with infatuation.
In the Roland family manor, Roland Phils sat proudly on his throne. Enterprise and Yorktown massaged his shoulders while Laffey and Nymph nestled in his arms like dolls, giggling as he teased them.
The other ship girls looked on with envy. Compared to them, the two lolis had the sweetest position, always in their commander's embrace.
"There are only nine adult ship girls. We have to take turns serving him. But those two, Laffey and Nymph, are always by his side. If only we could trade places," one thought silently, her smile tinged with longing.
"I wonder how Belfast and Sirius are doing. It's their first mission alone," Yorktown said with concern.
"Don't worry. Belfast strives for perfection. And Sirius, though not as meticulous, would never disappoint our master. After all, they call her the master's Sirius-for-life," Atago laughed.
At the nickname, Yorktown and Enterprise covered their mouths, giggling.
"Honestly, Atago, your love for our commander isn't any weaker than Sirius's," Yorktown teased gently.
Atago's face flushed red as last night's wild memories with Yorktown and Enterprise surfaced. "Y-You promised not to bring that up!" she stammered.
"Hahaha, so even you can get shy?" Phils chuckled.
"Master, please don't tease me. You'll embarrass me to death," Atago pouted sweetly.
"There's nothing embarrassing about it. In my eyes, your shy face is your most beautiful," Phils said warmly.
"If you like it, then I'll gladly stay shy forever," Atago replied with a dazzling smile.
"You little seductress," Phils sighed with a wry smile.
Just then, a magic portal appeared. Out stepped Belfast and Sirius in their modest maid uniforms, both smiling brightly.
"Looks like the mission went well," Phils said, pleased.
"Of course, Commander. We completed it perfectly. Here is the Mind Scepter," Sirius said eagerly, presenting the carefully wrapped artifact.
"Well done." Phils nodded in satisfaction. "You've both earned a heavy reward tonight."
"Thank you, my lord!" the two knelt with joy. To be rewarded by their master was the greatest honor.
Phils had finally chosen to intervene in this great crisis, though not to aid Fury. His true goals were different.
First, it was to expand his reputation as the Lord of Life and attract more followers. The coming battle in New York would be even more influential than the Hell invasion, because for the first time, all humanity would learn of alien life. Such a revelation was the perfect chance to build faith.
Second, it was for the Infinity Stones.
Everyone who knew the Marvel world knew the stones' power. Forged at the dawn of creation, the six Infinity Stones held unimaginable energy. Collecting all six granted strength equal to multiversal beings, the level of chief gods.
That was the realm Phils longed to reach.
Having tasted the power of devouring laws, he no longer wished to climb slowly through faith alone. Devouring was faster, and the Infinity Stones were the ultimate prize.
Taking the Mind Stone, he instantly felt the vast power within. Even as a mid-level true god, the force left him awed. Just one stone could rival his own strength.
But he could not use it. The energy was locked, like a drink inside a vending machine. He could see it, but without the right coin, he couldn't claim it. The "coin" here was ancient knowledge known only to a few. Aside from the supreme beings, Loki himself might be the only one who understood it.
"Looks like I'll have to capture Loki," Phils thought. "Or maybe I can have my believers sacrifice the stone to me. What would happen then?"
The idea took root in his mind. Perhaps after this war, he could test it with both the Mind Stone and the Space Stone.
As he pondered, a deep humming filled the air. Everyone in New York felt it.
"The Space Stone has been activated. The war is about to begin," Phils murmured.
He turned to the ship girls around him. "Prepare for battle. This time, I won't join personally. You and the Holy Light Order will fight on my behalf. It's time to test your strength."
"Yes, Commander. We won't let you down!" they answered in unison.
