Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – Drifting Decisions

The midday sun hung high above the endless blue, its warm light glinting off gentle waves. Yua sat cross-legged on the deck, tools scattered around him as he tightened loose planks and patched gaps in the railing. The ship was slowly taking on a new look—its worn paint stripped, replaced with cleaner lines and a sturdier frame.

A glowing screen floated in front of him, displaying:

[2345 pt]

"I still don't know if this is a lot or not…" Yua muttered, squinting at the number. "The term town usually means at least five thousand people… so if one point is one person, then that means about half of Shell Town's population saw me. But… does it really work like that? It might vary per person…"

He sighed, rubbing his temples. "Ugh, thinking about complicated stuff is giving me a headache. Whatever—it's more important to decide what to buy from the store."

Scrolling through the list, his eyes stopped at something familiar. [Spatial Pouch].

Just from the name, he already had a good guess. "In short… an inventory," he grinned. Without hesitation, he tapped purchase.

The small black pouch appeared in his hands, light as air. Yua stuffed everything he owned inside—even the flintlock pistol—feeling the sudden freedom of a clear deck.

"Alright… now, where should I go next?" He leaned on the ship's railing, staring at the horizon.

He thought back to the events of One Piece. "If I remember right… Luffy should have just defeated Buggy by now and is heading toward Syrup Village. Actually… he might already be in the middle of fighting Kuro." Yua hesitated.

Orange Town was already wrecked from Buggy's rampage, with nothing particularly valuable left. "Yeah… no point going there," he decided.

A small smile curved his lips. "Alright then… Syrup Village it is."

With that, he adjusted the sails, and the ship began cutting smoothly toward its next destination.

The sea breeze was gentle, carrying the scent of salt and sun-warmed water. Yua leaned against the ship's newly painted railing, admiring the cleaner, sleeker look of his vessel after hours of repairs and modifications.

The horizon revealed a modest coastline dotted with fishing boats, and beyond that, the green hills and scattered homes of Syrup Village. Unlike Shells Town, this place radiated a quiet, almost sleepy atmosphere—no cannons, no frantic guards, no chaos. Just the peaceful sounds of waves lapping against the shore.

As Yua steered the ship toward the small dock, a few villagers noticed him. Rather than fear or suspicion, they greeted him with curious glances, some even waving. Children by the pier pointed excitedly at his ship, probably impressed by its unusual design.

"Looks like a friendly place…" Yua muttered, tying the ship to the dock.

He stepped onto the pier, the wooden boards creaking softly under his boots. The scent of freshly baked bread from a nearby bakery mixed with the tang of the ocean air. Merchants chatted with customers, farmers hauled produce, and fishermen mended their nets in the shade.

No Marines. No bounty hunters. No whispers of trouble.

For the first time in a while, Yua felt like he could lower his guard.

"Maybe I can stay here for a bit," he thought, glancing toward a small café tucked between two houses.

Just then, a ship far out on the horizon caught his attention. Its design was oddly familiar. After squinting for a moment, he realized—"That's the Going Merry… woah. Kinda cool seeing it in person. Looks like the Straw Hat Pirates are already off to their next destination."

With Luffy and his crew sailing away, Yua decided to linger in Syrup Village a little longer. He restocked supplies and, of course, tried to farm points just like he did in Shells Town. Unfortunately, with the Black Cat Pirates already defeated, almost all the criminals here were gone. It was only a small village—his earnings were modest.

He also scanned for potential harem members… and found none."Kaya? No… she might be intelligent and rich, but she's got zero combat skills. And there's no way I'm pulling some NTR nonsense to Go D. Usopp."He shook his head.

Yua smirked. "If this was some story, some thirsty readers might get mad at me for that decision… but no means no."

So instead, he spent his days repairing and upgrading his ship. The head figure changed from a duck to a sleek black raven, the pink hull now painted deep black, the flag redesigned with a golden crown, and the heart emblem replaced with another crown.

When he finally stood back to admire the finished vessel, Yua couldn't help but feel proud. The ship looked stronger, sharper… and far more his style.

Thinking back over his stay, he realized Syrup Village didn't have a single person worth adding to his crew."Well… guess it's time to head to my next destination."

The sea was calm as Yua prepared to set sail once more. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the freshly painted black hull of his ship, the Raven's Crown. He ran a hand over the smooth wood, feeling the promise of new adventures ahead.

He thought about Cocoyashi Village—the Straw Hats had already recruited Sanji at Baratie and were now heading toward Arlong's territory. Yua knew he needed to reach Cocoyashi soon if he wanted to keep pace with the unfolding story and find new allies.

Checking his maps and compass, Yua charted a course southward toward the island fringed with swaying palms and peaceful farmlands.

"Can't afford to linger anymore," he muttered.

The sea breeze filled the sails, and the Raven's Crown surged forward, cutting through the waves with newfound confidence.

yua opened his store and search for an item that can speed up the ship

Yua settled at the helm, hands steady on the wheel as the Raven's Crown sliced through the waves. The ocean stretched endlessly ahead, but time was pressing—he needed to close the gap to Cocoyashi before events moved too far without him.

He tapped the small device linked to his system, opening the Harem King's Store.

[Search: "speed"]

A list of items appeared:

Swift Sail — 15p

Enhances the wind flow across your sails, increasing ship speed by up to 30%.

Wind Whisperer Charm — 20p

An enchanted talisman that calls favorable winds to your vessel.

Engine Booster — 50p

A rare mechanical device that boosts propulsion.

Yua studied the options carefully. The Swift Sail and Wind Whisperer Charm seemed useful, but their speed boosts felt limited—and he wasn't sure how much time he had left.

The Engine Booster, though costly at 50 points, promised a powerful surge in propulsion. If it worked as advertised, it could help him close the distance to Cocoyashi fast.

Without hesitation, Yua spent the 50 points and watched as the Engine Booster materialized in his hands—a compact, sleek device humming faintly with mechanical energy.

He carefully attached it to the stern of the Raven's Crown, the device clicking into place. As he activated it, a low whirring sound grew louder beneath the waves, and the ship surged forward with a sudden burst of speed.

The sails billowed, the hull cutting through the water faster than before. A grin spread across Yua's face as the sea rushed past.

"This is more like it," he muttered, eyes fixed on the horizon. "Time to catch up."
