Chapter 1 - From the begining

'Hi! Uh, hello? Ah why am i even doing this.'

*Crumble*

A piece of paper was crumbled up and thrown to the trash bin at the side of a desk.

Young boy with dark brown hair and deep red eyes sat in front of a notebook with a pencil in his hand.

'Hello, my name is Alex i think. It's been about 15 years since i was reincarnated to this world. And i'm going to have my own blessing ceremony soon.'

In this world there was a weird power that people had in their eyes, they gained a weird system that notified them of how strong they were and what the eye they had did.

I had a normal second life i guess? Since birth i was quiet and didn't cry much which made me look weird but growing up i acted more childish, i wonder if its a good thing though.

My family consisted of my father Jake, my mother Mary and a brother twin that is names Paul.

Growing up here i learned their language which was slightly different than english but thats what made it easy to understand.

My father had a farmer eye and my mother had regular eyes which was pretty unfortunate but somehow we didn't face any discrimination and were treated like everyone else.

With the farmer eye my father could support us and bring food on the table.

We live at the countryside where about 400 people reside and go to church aswell as learn a few things from local library and occasional mercenaries that go through our village.

'Done'

I put down the pencil and closed the notebook before hiding it under a broken plank that was next to the desk.

*Knock, Knock*

- Coming!

After the knocking i quickly hurried up and opened the door where a young youth that looked like my exact replica stood.

- Alex i heard that some people will bring the remains of observers through our village, hurry up and lets go check it out.

Paul said excitely looking at me and waiting for my answer like he wouldn't do anything without me.

'Observers'

Those are weird creatures that supposedly roam this world and kill any living being they find.

A powerless person like me wouldn't be able to do anything against one but my father is pretty strong having reached E rank and killing a few F rank observers, i only heard his boasting about how dreadfull they looked and how strong they were but couldn't see one.

This was my once in a lifetime chance that i couldn't possibly miss.

A smile filled with curiosity and anticipation appeared on my face and i answered eagerly.

- Sure let's go there together!

We went down the stairs and saw that our parents were nowhere to be seen so we just left.

Opening the door a light greeted us along a scenery of green fields, trees and buildings around us.

People seemed to be gathered in the middle of the village and that was where i went with paul.

- Let's go!

I nudged him and ran ahead watching him try to catch up.

As we got closer to the centre the voices of people became more audible carrying awe and fear in their tone.

Paul catched up to me and all we could see was a wall made of people who were stunned by the sight in front of them, sadly we werent one of them not being able to witness the so called observer.

- Ugh, come on! Let us see aswell!

I groaned in annoyance at the old man in front of me but he didnt react like i wanted.

He turned his head at me and snickered before looking back in front of him and mumbling in barely audible tone.

- Annoying pests, get lost.

My face almost went red from anger but i remembered who he was, he was a F rank and had Salesman eye. To him seeing observer was very important for development of his eye which couldn't get past F rank at all.

Alongside Paul i tried to push my way through some people for a while before all of a sudden the crowd started going back and an opening appeared.

'Yes!'

I dashed into it and saw that there was nothing anymore.

The people that brought observers corpse were gone.

- Haah.

Sound of Paul heavily breathing came from behind me and i watched as he looked around helplessly like me before.

- We missed it.

I mumbled dissapointed at the oportunity we couldn't get.

- I guess so.

He was unable to disagree looking at the people that were leaving i noticed some man that looked heavily armored with metal pads and a sword strapped to his waist.

After walking up to us he flashed a slight smile and started casually talking to us.

- Hey kids, did you see that crazy monsters corpse that we brought in?

Our eyes regained some hope as i looked at this mans sweet smile.

- Did you say you brought it in?

Paul was the first to speak up, the anticipation in his voice was obvious.

That man smiled at him and confirmed our thoughts.

- Yes, yes me and my team killed that bastard, so how are your thoughts?

Simultaniously me and Paul locked our eyes before looking at the mysterious man and quickly started talking not caring how stupid that looked.

- No! We couldn't see him because of others!

- Yes, and that old man even cursed at us!

- We wanted to see it so much.

- Can you let us see it?

- Would you please show it to us?

- Please.

- Please.

- Ple-

- Stop!

Stopping our rambling the man said in a slightly louder tone and furrowed his brows.

He looked at us after a bit and seemed to fall into deep thought.

- Hmmm

A deep hum escaped his lips and he looked around before accepting our offer.

- I can show you the corpse but you cant tell anyone, not even your parents.

Paul and i looked at each other excitedly, smiles appeared on our faces as we heard his offer.

- Yes!

- Of course!

Without a second thought we both agreed while i had some doubts about the man, he seemed like a D rank or something with a sword in his eye that indicated him reaching a rare eye so with the strenght he had, getting things he wanted wasnt probably that hard.

The man smiled sweetly at us and said.

- Great! Meet me here when the sun starts to set, people will most likely see me lead you two and ask for it aswell but i just don't wanna.

He let out a sigh before going away and waving at us.

- Remember, when sun will start to set you need to be here!

His departing back was the last thing we saw of him as he disapeared from our sight.

I stood there for a while looking at the place he last stood at and noticed a black drop of liquid that stained the sand.

'I wonder if its that things blood'

I felt the excitement from being able to learn more about this weird world and i nudged my brother who seemed deep in thought.

- Hey let's go home for now, we need to wait quite a bit before the sunset.

Snapping out of his thoughts he turned to look at me and seemed as if he wanted to say something but stopped himself.

- Mhm.

He simply nodded and walked back home with me to wait for the mysterious man.
